Staff were very welcoming. Fantastic location.

Great location, great staff, service was excellent.

Exceptional customer service, comfy king size bed and great pillows.
What did let the property down was the smell of carpet in apartment and dirty tissues left in the room.

The rooms are cold, tiled floor our bed was on wheels and move when resting on the headboard very full Nice view though.

Hannah at reception and the lady who brought us towels from housekeeping were 10/10 our room wasnt massive but totally adequate, absolutely beautiful overlooking the harbour, jo faults! Pool was cool and overlooked beautiful areas of Cairns including the harbour but also the mountains!

Very lovely and relaxing place to stay. Nice beds, very good n friendly customer service at reception, I received an upgrade which was the best! The ocean view was something special. I will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely two bedroom apartment, very spacious, good to see a full size fridge and a coffee machine.

Reception staff are just awesome. Check in was excellent in fact we got an upgrade to a room facing the water. That’s a win to start with. No trouble for them to book tours, cabs etc. Everything we asked for it was no trouble & there are some fantastic eateries in walking distance.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend. Thank You.

Great rooms, location and staff. Stayed4+ months during covid. Couldn't of ask for a bettrr place to stay. Waiting to go back to work on Lizard Island. Thanks Harbour Lights.

Fantastic hotel! Rooms are spacious and clean, well appointed and its in a peaceful location. Friends had a totally different experience and they would probably not stay here again but from what I personally experienced I would certainly return!

We had a fantastic stay at Harbour Lights. We booked last minute and arrived in Cairns early, but Lisa, one of the Harbour Lights team, was incredibly accommodating and arranged an early check-in. Perfectly located on the water in central Cairns, the room was spacious and had a great view. Very neat and tidy. Would highly recommend.

Great place for bush Tucker and local seafood.

My family has stayed at Harbour lights for the past 4 years each Jan. We love the rooms and location, lovely staff. Beware this hotel also has a residential unit on the side overlooking the pool. On the 7th floor their is a man who hides with binoculars and stares at girls in the pool. It was reported to reception, I had a sense this was something that they already knew. Was very upsetting for our teenage girl I accept that management may not of known, I definitely should of reported it to police.

Great place to stay and relax. Very helpful and friendly staff. Close to everything especially the harbour and the great restaurants underneath. No hesitation to stay again.

Wow what a great place, with the exception of perhaps some new furniture required, the stay there was fabulous, close to everything and a great view as well. The staff were ever to helpful and always welcoming, a special thanks to Sharon who went the extra mile. We will surely be back. The only thing that was bothering, was that there were not many accor restaurants to be able to take advantage of our accor card.

Whilst the hotel itself was adequate, I was incredibly disappointed by the aggressive nature of the staff. My partner checked in before me and advised the front desk staff that I would be arriving later. Upon arriving, I informed the front desk that my room had already been checked into and that my partner had called before. My name was even on the booking. Surprisingly, the man wearing a blue shirt (front desk manager) started aggressively shouting at me and accused me of trying to break into the hotel room. I was shocked at the immediate escalation. He was pointing at me aggressively and said “there is no way you’re getting up that elevator”. Another staff member came out from the office and casually mentioned that my partner had called down. The man then blamed a “communication issue” and did not offer an apology. This review comes at the expense of one man, the front desk manager, from an otherwise adequate hotel experience. I am disappointed to be on the receiving end of such aggressive behaviour from an Accor hotel employee. My partner and I travel frequently to FNQ for work and will be staying at the Hilton from now on. I do not recommend that anyone stay here due to the front desk manager.

Unfortunately the front desk manager was incredibly rude and aggressive to my partner. I called the front desk to let them know they were arriving and when the message was not passed on he turned agressive and suggested he was trying to break into hotel rooms. When the receptionist came out from the back and informed him that I had indeed called he did not apologise. This is the second time I have had bad service in 1 trip.

Nothing too much trouble, amazing front counter service. Garbriella from Apartment Beautify Services are top notch, great access to marina and shopping and best restaurants. Thinking I'll bring my husband next time. Thanks.

Good location near beach. Free Wi-Fi. Front desk staff was rude at times but the rooms were nice. There were ants in our rooms but this seems to be common in the city.

Waterfront location. Large, clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Close to a number of nice restaurant options.

Lovely place, room was lovely only stayed the one night. But will definitely be back. We had a great time. And lovely service the staff where very welcoming.

Fantastic location, happy and helpful staff. Good options for food around the corner and the esplanade is a minute long walk away.

Nice rooms, friendly staff. They let us leave our luggage with them while we went out on an overnight reef trip no questions asked. Having laundry in our room was a great feature too.

Stayed one night here before adventuring in the Great Barrier Reef. The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable.

While there seem to be a number of negative reviews about this hotel, I've enjoyed my stay in the Cairns Harbour Lights. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. The location of the hotel was superb and served my needs adequately. There are a number of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Most importantly, I love the view of the harbour from the comfort of my balcony.

Stayed for 3 nights, awesome, nice view, great excess to the pool to the pool and watched the fireworks as we on 4th floor, spacious, clean, wud stay there again, great location, kids happy, we invite families over for new year to watch fireworks, no dramas at all. Fantastic, expensive though but money well spent. Friendly staff.

Would never stay again, check-in staff were miserable and when we asked about car parking were told there was none. They have 24 spots and 85 rooms, so we had to park on the street miles away. Our room smelt horrible like mould and the room was so bare I felt like I was in a budget hotel not a 4 star! Had to call reception as there was no hairdryer in the room, these thing happen so I was ok with this. After having stayed at other resorts in Cairns I would certainly choose the others over this one. Don't waste your money.

We have only just arrived but so every thing is great. Staff very friendly. Room nicely appointed. Clean. Ocean view. Been here a few days now. Found out that The Pier eating places are the most expensive in Cairns! They also like to fry everything and slather salads in gunky dressing. More to come! Oh yes. The restaurant Kick Start… just a around the corner was recommended by staff. Absolutely hopeless.

Amazing views of the Harbour and beyond, and the best location in town, easy walking along the boulevard. The rooms were lovely and modern with everything possible to accommodate all our needs. Highly recommend staying here.

Always pairing, the smell make us feel very sick. The staff are nice. Hotel position is good. But I have to give it a bad rating because I can't have any rest in the smelly room.

Wi-Fi doesn't work. Some staff are short with you and impersonable. They charge you for basic things like taking out the minibar drinks from the fridge for $20. The fridge is so small and barely fits anything let alone all the 'purchasable' drinks. Even if I wanted to buy something, the orange juice in the minibar was mouldy so I'm guessing they never change the drinks over. The sheets had hair in them. The bathroom is tiny. Everything was pretty outdated and worn/torn in some way. The towels felt like cardboard and smelt a little like cooking grease. The gym equipment looks like it came from the 90's. That being said the location was good and the restaurant 'Dundee's' was great.

For a new hotel the internal conditions were bad. Bed had a significant sag towards the middle, internet was flakey and extremely slow and the daily cleans were horrendous if non existent. Over the 5 days the cleaning ranged from not vacuuming at all, kicking my wife's shoes a metre from each other, putting a used cup back in the cupboard as is, not replenishing an empty tissue box, leaving used towel in the bathroom. Our blankets also had a yellow stain which we had to have replaced. Having said that the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately cannot say the same thing about the cleaners nor the hotel itself.

Love this place and would definitely come back. Our room was excellent and he views are amazing overlooking the harbour with the rainforest covered hills in the background.

We went on a round the world trip and this was my favourite hotel. It was like a mini-home from home with all mod cons, big TV, nice kitchen (with washing machine) and bathroom and comfy beds. Great location. The guy on reception was very helpful in finding my lost wallet. Big thanks.
