This B&B is, in our opinion, the best one we've ever experienced. Katie, the warm-hearted proprietor, sets a very high standard for presentation of her rooms and puts a lot of effort into her cooking. The bedrooms are excellent and we always sleep well. Quite often we now find little emphasis on the second B, Breakfast, in B&Bs, but not with Katie. We now make sure we've left enough time to enjoy her truly scrumptious meal to start the day. She encourages visitors to sit together and facilitates the conversation that results. Another unexpected benefit is the ability to use the Rivercat at the end of the street to access the city with ease. Visitors to Brisbane could do a lot worse than stay with Katie at Number 12 (very good restaurants, a park and a picture theatre close by) and then use the Rivercat to explore the city centre and, of course, the length of the river.

Came from Noosa to Brisbane for work training and stayed at this beautiful B&B for just one night (wish I could of stayed longer). The whole house has a real warm and homely feeling and the owners are so so friendly and welcoming, its filled with gorgeous antique decor. We stayed in the Edwardian room which was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast is normally served at 8am but the owners were more then happy to accommodate me so I could have mine a little earlier I had their home made granola and yogurt — delicious.
The location is awesome close to the city but far away from the busyness, and just a 10min walk to the end of the road to the Brisbane river.
I will 100% be returning for any other occasion bringing me to Brisbane.
