I wouldn't recommend holding a wedding here. No /lack of communication, unprofessional and lie. Contract is one sided and means nothing when it comes to refunds. All about taking money.
Was much better when Kath was there. Disappointing when it's a special day.

Arnott’s Biscuits held there quarterly NSW/TAS cycle meeting here. The hospitality, friendliness of staff, fantastic organization from Mel and the other staff, the great food and site event opportunities along with the peace and tranquility of the venue were second to none.
I Highly recommend a stay here and thank everyone for there assistance in making our event a success.

We had the most wonderful wedding day at the Retreat! Despite the rain and needing to relocate our ceremony indoors, the rest of the day ran smoothly and seamlessly. Kath was always really helpful and accommodating and filled us with confidence every step of the way. The food was delicious (including our custom ice cream sundae bar, a request they were more than happy to accommodate) and the service was wonderful. Thank you Kath and team for brining our wedding dreams to life!

Whilst Djing at a party I was warmly welcomed by the front desk staff and function room personnel with lovely smiles and a very helpful attitude. The event was an incredible success and the staff ran the venue flawlessly. Thank you for allowing me to serve your guests at this beautiful property.

Kath at the Retreat is worth her weight in gold and all the staff are fantastic. Our wedding plans were easy and stress free because of all the help Kath offers. I can not recommend this venue enough!

Absolutely beautiful place we just had my daughter's wedding there on Friday 10.5.19, can't fault them in anyway they were excellent thank you to the staff for everything — с Natasha Roberts и Darrin Rose.

Had our wedding here yesterday and the day was absolutely perfect! Accomodation, ceremony and reception all in one convenient location. Staff was friendly and helpful and the wedding coordinators Kath and Rachel helped us from day one right up until it was time to leave the wedding Thankyou so much guys for helping make our day perfect.

What a great venue! I travel a lot with work and found the Retreat fantastic, clean, spacious and the staff were without exception excellent — nothing felt like it was too much trouble.

Toilets were far from play area or the beach, 3 or 4 BBQs were there but occupied by whole 1 family as the cooking trays were next to each other and there family is big and they all starts cooking at once. But for kids it's good have some playing area and can to cycling on track. Good for fishing and spending day. Also can experience car transport from one side to other side of park by boat for free amazing.

Such a gorgeous area, a slice of heaven, friendly locals, great food, great accommodation for a wedding whether staying or traveling through a must stop.

It's a bit old but good for a nights stay or two. The Rivebend restaurant is not always open so that was too bad but there are a few other options around.

It was a beautiful spot. Lots of peace and quiet. The rooms were decent, but quite dated and the food was average.

Great place to take the family, cheap and great day out overall. Manderins are juicy and sweet, definitely recommend visitng. However, best not to take a sports car that's been lowered, the parking isn't that great given it is on a farm.

We went there for a weekend. The trip from Hurstville took almost two hours. Got lost finding the place. There was no bars on our phone so contacting anyone was difficult. But eventually we did manage to find the place. It was a fun activity and lasted a couple of hours. Socially fun and enjoyable. Overall quality time with friends and family.

First time staying here this weekend. Room was cosy, but very clean, neat and tidy. They even had the warm aircon on for us upon our late arrival (after 5pm). Everything worked and had all that we needed for our relaxing stay. Location is central to the Wisemans Ferry township. Decor does need little updating but, not too bad. Only gripe was that our room was right next to the town petrol station and main road (no views), so it was noisy especially with the hoons racing up and down throughout the night and early morning! The venue didn’t seem full at all, so I’m not sure why we got this room as opposed to a nicer room away from the noisy road and with no view of the beautiful Hawkesbury river, golf course etc.

Fantastic place for bbqs, large open grounds for all recreational activities (cricket, ball games etc) with kids play equipment.

We had chosen the Retreat at Wisemans for our wedding venue. The early days were terrific, we felt confident and comfortable in their hands. However once we had the tasting the food was inedible and allergies were not taken seriously at all. After being told to trust them and promised they could provide amazing food. This unfortunately left us three months out from our wedding date, to have to start from scratch. If you’re after a venue that can provide amazing food for the price they charge, this isn’t the place for that. If you care for your vegetarian, gluten and dairy free guests or are a bridal party with these dietary requirements avoid this place at all costs. When the acting general manger states ‘veggies are just veggies’ you can’t expect their staff to hold much higher quality for vegetarian meals. The acting general manger also treats brides a lot differently (in a bad way) to the groom. They seem to have a preconceived idea that all brides are unnecessarily fussy, when in fact in our case the groom and bride worked together and were both disappointed in this venue. We had server food allergy reactions at the tasting and the food at the pub across the road is much more appealing. It’s unfortunate as the event coordinator is amazing and the venue itself has amazing views. All that was missing from.

Resort is amazing, we had our wedding ceremony and reception here. Staff are super friendly and food was amazing. Beds were comfy and the unit had everything you could need.

Handy location. Rooms basic but clean. Friendly staff. Restaurant closed due to function, but other options in town.

Attended wedding, staff polite & welcoming, venue in Marquee, great food & drink flowed nicely to all participants. Rooms clean & tidy. Get to breakfast early as food in some trays runout and are not replaced or delay in refilling.

Booked the place on impulse. The staff was amazing and the rooms were good as well. Recommended for everyone especially family and couple retreats.

Excellency quiet spot. Picturesque setting. Lovely to have a light meal and a beer overlooking the Hawkesbury river. Nice area for kids tho ruin as well.

Stayed for a wedding and had a great time! Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the pool and river. The wedding was fantastic, perfect for both the ceremony and reception.

Went with a group to play our annual game of Golf. Had a great time with not too many people on the course. Very well priced and great for a day of fun by the river.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the Retreat at Wiseman’s Ferry. We booked rooms for family and friends and the Riverbend Restaurant for our celebration dinner. It was a success all round. Affordable and great service for accommodation and meals, noting a full buffet breakfast was included in the room rate. Brett and family provided the food and together with Bob the Bartender they excelled in delivering the best night for all. We recommend it highly and suggest you talk to Sandra if you’re planning a special event. Thanks to all concerned Bill and Kate.

Ample parking, great public facilities including sheltered picnic tables and chairs and clean BBQ's worth the drive its a nice tranquil spot to relax and just share good times with family and friends.

A very quite little place next to the Wiseman's Ferry. Has many trees and is relaxing to be there.

Great customer service and the breakfast was fantastic. Nice tidy rooms that are reasonably updated. Only minor issue I can say is that the car park could have had more spaces.

Service is awesome, everyone needs dealt with was very helpful and nice, has an old but we'll maintained structure.

I got married at the Retreat at Wisemans on the 21/10/2017 and I loved every minute of it! Kath and Rachel were very supportive of us (Ricky and I) on our BIG day and leading up to it. They were very helpful with our wedding plans and on the day they ensured everything ran smoothly and on time. They worked well with our chosen vendors and were very respectful. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and also very helpful to us both and our guests. Only disappointing thing to say was that our cake got taken back to the kitchen too soon before all our guests had a chance to eat some or pack some in a cake bag to take home. This isn't a complaint but constructive feedback as the retreat is encouraging to receive :) Accommodation was very comfy and we loved the bridal suite! Our guests were really impressed with the venue and had nothing but nice things to say to us about it and our wedding day. Thank you to Kath, Rachael and the rest of the staff at Retreat at Wisemans for making our day a happy and memorable one — it was perfect.

Experienced a wedding here, stayed the night. Food was okay, service was absolutely horrible. Waitresses were extremely rude when delivering food. The hotels were very poor, we ordered the luxury suite and they were disgusting. Beds were extremely hard and the bathroom door was see-through. There were bobby pins under the bed and old, empty lolly wrappers in our drawers, neither of which were ours. Breakfast was ok. Would NOT recommend.

Words cannot begin to describe how beautiful our wedding was at the retreat on Saturday 12.08.17. We went there on an open day and decided on the Marquee wedding along with outdoor ceremony. Kath & Raquel made sure everything went smoothly and with a lot of irish people attending they managed to get them to arrive on time! When I seen the final touches I was completely in Awe it was fantastic and Kath & Rachel are throughly gifted in what they do and I would have never have dreamt it been that good. Not only did everything go to plan the staff and the hospitality at the retreat was brilliant and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a stress free wedding. I look forward to coming back on our year anniversary. Thanks again guys Jessica & Nicky x.

Nice place. Good Service. Beautiful location can easily spend a day or two here. Perfect getaway from Sydney. The bar is nice with quick service.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's an older hotel do don't expect luxury. The dinner I had at the restaurant was delicious though. If my bed was softer I would be able to give a better rating.

Very nice natural view with Farry. Lots of Orange garden. You can pick your own orange from the garden. Very big ground to play and Holiday activities. Toilet available.

We stayed one night for a weekend getaway in a "superior" room. Location was beautiful, set next to the Hawkesbury River. The room was a little dated with all the basics, nothing special. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included with standard buffet. Overall was a pleasant stay.

Awesome place with great facilities such as tennis courts, a pool and a restaurant. The staff are friendly and always happy to help you. Since the area is small you can easily walk to the nearby park and markets. There are beautiful landscapes all around! A great getaway!

Plenty of room for kids to play and spend a day there, coffee shop and toilets.

Great resort we went for a wedding and it was amazing all catered on site Good food, rooms and staff.

School conference with 21 teachers. Good venue for meetings, basic rooms (looking a little bit old), nice pool, but no pool towels (mid October), nice lunch, dinner breakfast … but they took our sandwiches away before we knew it … went to have a bite and they were gone.

My daughter was married and her reception held at Retreat at Wisemans in March. What a wonderful experience, one which I will never forget. Barry, Kath and all the staff were superb. Despite a sudden storm and wardrobe malfunction everything went smoothly for the bride and groom and all the guests. The food was delicious and the rooms clean and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending the Retreat to anyone thinking of a wedding or simply enjoying a few days at Wiseman's Ferry… you will not be disappointed!

Excellent experience! They were very accommodating. Rooms were comfortable, spa was awesome, restaurant fantastic. We had a wonderful stay here.
