This is a budget hotel so that's why I chose it, plus the fact that it was handy to public transport to get to the city by train or bus. I recommend a trip to nearby Parramatta which boasts a bustling shopping centre and a beautiful picturesque main street. I found a great deal of variety in the types of restaurant cuisines and cafes on show, with plenty of places to buy your delicious grande breakfast! I stayed in the hotel for two nights in a double bed with clean white sheets and a light blanket providing all the warmth I needed. I had the option to adjust the temperature using the heating and cooling features of the air-conditioner, but in April, it was just perfect without it on. Although the all-in-one bathroom looked like something out of a motor-home, it provided an awesomely hot shower, with fresh white towels provided. Bring your own toiletries for this one or buy them from the vending machine downstairs. I would suggest you ask for an extra towel, or bring your own bath mat, as water tends to splash everywhere including around the toilet and outside the bathroom door, after a shower. Tea and coffee were provided in the room along with a kettle which meant you could make up one of those packet cup-o-soups from the vending machines whenever you needed it. Though one machine didn't give me back the right change when I put a $10 note in it, it had a great selection of meals, desserts, drinks and snacks available, with access to a microwave in the kitchen. Friendly and welcoming staff were run off their feet but were very helpful and always smiling. The cleaners came daily and made up my room with fresh sheets and towels. This is a good alternative for anyone wanting an inexpensive stay in the western suburbs of Sydney in a handy location.
