I enjoyed high tea at Como the treasury. I loved the venue and presentation of the food. The tea was average. The finger sandwiches were tasty however the bread didn't taste fresh and was a bit hard. The crab treat was delicious. Scones we're nicely made. The sweets were all pretty good. I feel they were too chocolate dominant — I would've liked more freshness included with them in general. Overall I was quite pleased and would consider returning.

Relatively clean and well maintained. Staff were pleasant and friendly to speak with.

Firstly, the staff were enormously helpful. But the room was old and dirty. Location is great, very close to the Enmore theatre and train station. Wasn't super cheap for a room with a private bathroom.

Terrible business. Charged me, encouraged me to cancel a non cancellable booking and then sell the room again to someone else. Great business model but complete rip off. When you buy something there is an exchange of a good or service. I got no room and no refund. Yet another dishonest company that hides behind "policy" rather than fairness and common sense.

Not very expensive, close to public transport, lots of places to get food and drink around.

Disgusting place! Towels were full of stains and hair. There was mould growing in the basin and the shower. Soap scums everywhere. Random hair everywhere (sink, toilet seat, towels) The fan made horrific noise and kept us awake. No air conditioning. “Kitchen” was disgusting and I didn’t even wanna get close to it. Room was tiny and dirty, it hasn’t been even vacuumed before we arrived and the walls were full of stains.

Great location, cheap, room was ok, had a small balcony to look out but bathroom / toilet was tiny.

Much smaller than anticipated, not clean at all, balcany room more an overstatement on a small step attached to the wall.

RUN! Place smells of cat and cigarettes. Maybe the private bathrooms are ok but I unfortunately booked a shared bathroom and it was GROSS. The decor in the reception area is beautiful, but take a look inside the bathroom to the right of the tv. I tried several times to upgrade to a private bath or find another place but alas, it was not to be : ( They supposedly have free breakfast but there is no way I would touch it. The best thing about this place was the shuttle bus driver who came to take me away to the airport, very prompt and pleasant guy.

Be very careful with this place — if you call them the number redirects to a foreign call-centre so you can't actually speak to anyone in Australia. The place was so bad that I didn't bother to stay my two nights, and the foreign call centre staff could barely speak English so they pretended they didn't know what "refund" meant. I didn't bother to report them to the ACCC, so I just let them keep all of my money.

I was skeptical about staying here as there wasnt a lot of info available. But the room was good, water pressure in the shower was good and there was a good amount of privacy.

Disgusting. Dirty sheets! I only realised after I'd slept in it, that some else, or multiple people had slept in it before. There was BLOOD on my pillow slip, and my friend's. Mould all throughout the bathroom walls and in between the tiles, including a lovely wall of lint and bugs stuck to to it from the bathroom fan blowing the dirt in the air I suppose. The floor was filthy, looked like it hadn't been mopped in a while, and the ceiling fan had electrical wires hanging out of it. I felt like I needed another shower after using theirs. Staff were also standoffish and completely unwelcoming. Not worth the money.

Dont believe the pictures! We stayed there and it smelt gross as soon as you walked in. We walked down a dingy corridor to our room which used to be a laundry or bathroom. The bed looked clean but there was no doona cover on the blanket and it was yellow! The shared bathroom was mouldy and I showered with thongs on. I wouldn't recommend this to absolutely anyone.

Was unclean. Floor is sticky, doesn't feel mopped or wiped. There are stains on the pillows and on doona, which had no covers. Shower head is duct taped on the wall. Fridge is dirty, tea towel hasnt been changed in possibly years. Teas aren't in wrappers. I am sure you will rethink your tea 2 choice. The road outside is loud, walls aren't sound proof. Windows are made of perspex and cracked and dirty. Do not seal properly or stay open. And therefore myself and my guest could not sleep. There is no air conditioning and the fan sounds like it will fall off and kill you. There are markings on the wall. No spare toilet paper. Other people's hair was found in the bed, and a pubic hair was found on toilet roll holders. This raises questions as to whether the sheets are clean. There is no microwave or hairdryer as advertised and there are markings on the wall. The bin is also filthy. This place should not cost $120 bucks for two adults.

It wasn't great. But worth the money I paid.

Rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy but like all of the surrounding areas it is an old building. Walls are thick and you can rarely hear noise from the other rooms. It is close to everything in newtown you need with the bus to the city just outside the door.

Terrible. Not at all how it was advertised on the website. Rooms were small and dirty. Bugs on the bed and the bathroom was terrible. For $100 I expected something a lot cleaner and modern. We checked out after 30 minutes of being in our room — we then booked a Hotel nearby for $15 more and got a private bathroom, large bed, aircon, fully equipped kitchen, and most of all it was clean. Total rip off.

Rooms are clean, beds are good without bugs. Bathroom is shared but there are at least 2 on our floor so no trouble getting the shower or toilet. No aircon only ceiling fan but weather was good for us at the time.

Good location, tiny & old room, clean.

Good central location near a variety of restaurants and bars, budget priced rooms that are clean, quiet and comfortable with friendly staff. A good stay for me.

Beware! do not stay here if you value your money, health and privacy. Stayed for one night and barely made it through 5 straight hours, leaving at the earliest check out time of 5am. Not only were their bugs in both bed and bathroom, but tissues shoved into fire alarm. The room did not look anything like online, had no air conditioning and was extremely overpriced. This was the LEAST of our problems, after a night of sleeping on top of the quilts, we awoke to check our bank account to discover $500.00 withdrawn from the hotel, in addition to the $149.00 room cost. We contacted the manager hastily to ask for information and were told it was due to a broken door after an incident the previous night. At the time, they believed one of the people staying in the room broke it but after a quick conversation were SATISFIED that it was not us, but someone else in the hotel. At this point hotel staff became extremely rude, both police and fair trading had to be contacted and we are still awaiting a result. At one point we contacted the hotel again to ask for business details to help with our complaint, in which they point blank refused to supply us with their ABN or even NAMES and were told if fair trading were contacted they would then deduct ANOTHER $700 from our accounts. Please do not risk your money and health for convenience.

Stayed there once, nothing like internet description, very grubby room, so small one person had to turn sideways to get into the bed which was very uncomfortable, the bathroom was tiny and grotty, coffee cups were cracked so bad the liquid leaked out all over me. Not worth $100.

Friendly and helpful staff but the scungiest and most poorly equipped hotel/motel room I have ever seen in my life. E. G. Almost no space to put anything, chipped cups, tiny T. V. Hard bed, broken shower head.

Dead gecko. I've stayed here before but this time, meh. Dead gecko on bathroom floor, noisy neighbours, stinky room, have to fill kettle from shower. For a hundred bucks you can do better than this. Disappointed. Oh, and Wi fi doesn't work. Lucky they provide a dust pan and broom.

Load, small, unclean, poor sercurity and poor parking. Not a motel. No on site reception. I would call it a boarding house with 1 star and only worth about $65 not $140.

Place to stay. Budget hotel in Newtown, clean, lovely atmosphere. With beautiful flowers @ courtyard, during spring season. Friendly staffs. It's very nice to stay and convenience, close to CBD, with bus stop the front of the hotel. 15-20 mins to the city. Cafe and restaurants around. Plus, close to the airport, just 10 mins. Love it.

Rented a twin room, very unclean, mould on shower curtain, thick dust on blinds, room only big enough for one person, only way to fill the kettle is to run the shower, double bed was 2 singles tied together, smallest TV I have ever seen and only channels you get are 2, 7, 9, 10 and one sbs, no HD TV at all, very noisy from local nightlife, car park is down a small back street not at the motel, told when we checked in room was ready and been clean but was dirty, we left motel for 2 hours after check-in and some body had been in our room while we were out, photo's on internet very misleading, very disappointed will not stay there again.
