If I could this place a zero, I would. I have been living here for two months as a student, and have had nothing but trouble: dirty room with hair and bugs everywhere upon arrival, broken stove top, broken shower, an electrical breaker that goes off for no reason everyday, broken freezer that’s the size of an ice cube tray, and a roach nest that is living in my fridge. I am beyond disgusted and appalled. Don’t think twice about staying here. For the price we pay, there should be little to no problems. The place has no air conditioning, no window screens to keep out insects, and looks so far away from the website photos that it’s horrendous.

Overall above average regardless of the service. Room is good but it depends on which room you are allocated to. Not stardardised service (maybe caused by changing staff quickly) means you can expect quite different response from the staff for the same issue. Come if you accept you are paying for location.

Overall, one of the best on-campus accommodations that the University of Sydney has to offer. Apart from the convenient location, the "Village" has been my home for the past 4-years. Going into my 5th and final year, I have had the greatest opportunity to further my academic career and make friendships that last a lifetime! I've lived in both the studio and 5-share apartments. Both were very pleasant and overall pretty comfortable. I think the struggles of living at the Village has always been about cleanliness and the sense of community. However, there are two important things to point out: 1) The Village staff are always friendly! And it's a great concept to have the Residential Assistants (RAs) work at Reception and help run the community events! So if I had a problem with a bug, cleanliness, or any lightbulb and oven that needed to be fixed, all I had to do was ask! 2) I think when choosing to live at the Sydney University Village it is the best opportunity to meet so many different & interesting people from all over the world — undergraduates and post-graduate students. *Never limit yourself! *Sometimes step out of your comfort zone and have a chat with a new face. *And just as much as I love to talk, be sure to take the time to listen. At the end of the day, the cost of the accommodation is always the deciding factor.

It has its pros and cons, it can be a lot of fun and a great way to meet people, however it can get noisy at times. They try to make more money out of you in a few ways once you’re in. But the location is great and prices are reasonable.

Went to a party at this village and I found the place to be full of dull, politically correct hipsters.

It is the most pathetic of student accommodations I have ever come across. Extremely poor and incompetent management, rules on noise, smoking, maintenance, privacy not implemented. Disturbances throughout the year not one period is quite. A complete sham of organisation DO NOT WASTE your money here (I have to keep my identity private as the management is vengeful)

One of the worst place to live in Sydney for students… Rude staff and they are doing everything to steal your money as a student which is an absolute shame!

Great place to live during uni, despite minor issues. Convenient location, nice surroundings, good apartments… Sometimes other students can be a bit noisy, but you can still find some apartments where neighbours are mostly quiet, if you specify that in the application.

Stayed here while at Uni. Management don't care much for staff and gouge you for money once you are in.

Decent place to live and is relatively affordable. Can get loud at times, but it's a student accom so it should be expected.

Meeting rooms are good, lots of shade on the grounds.

Horrible. Terrible facilities, no amenities, and everyone who works here is useless.
