Never stay again uncomfortable bed bathroom smelt like sewerage
The bunk beds directly underneath the aircon unit and the atrium lights shine through the blinds all night making it hard to sleep and the pool is dirty and not kid friendly.

Very interesting place. Comfortable beds. Close to everything.

Only was there a couple of nights but the whole time was horrible, only the pool and tennis is available, as well as the children's playground but that was so runned down you couldn't play on it with out getting hurt and the pool was all chipped on the sides so when kids would run around n jump back in there was cement chips in the pool, yes there is room service and a restaurant but it's expensive! So we bought back our own food to find out there was a communal microwave at the front reception, their is only a kettle and teaspoons to make coffee or tea so we had to go to the reception for cutlery (not sure about plates n bowls weather they have them) but we stayed with our disabled nan and they have disabled rooms which was nice but the toliet seat was broken and would pinch and slide.

Good place for an overnight stay if you are visiting Canberra or on the way to Sydney. Not that far from Canberra city centre.

Friendly staff, quiet location but close to Airport and Canberra. Pros — Good value, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, onsite free parking, hot showers with plenty of flow. Cons — restaurant wasn’t open, needs some maintenance (sauna, general wear on carpets etc). Overall — I would stay again.

Old style hotel, not a bad place to spend a night, would expect more for the price, the rooms were full, no facilities in the room, no extra towels in rooms and furniture is also very old will not pay the price for such a old place.

Really poor customer service. I was turned away during check-in because they never received a booking from Expedia even though I had a booking confirmation. Instead of trying to help me resolve the issue, they gave me a generic letter of who I should contact to resolve the issue. When I rang the number, I was advised that they do not deal with the general public and deal only with the hotels. When I passed the phone over to the receptionist, Kim, Alan the owner stormed over and demanded that she hang up the phone because it's not her responsibility to help a guest with this issue. I was absolutely disgusted by his behaviour. Not only was he rude to me but also rude to his staff. I wasn't the only one that was turned away that day and to think that they have a generic letter that they just hand out instead of helping customers. I decided to turn to Expedia to help me which they did and they were able to book me into a much nicer hotel. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. On a final note, STAY AWAY!

Pretty poor experience here. Firstly the staff I met where great. Unfortunately that's all the good points. First impressions as we walked in were ok but when we went to Our room well, all the rooms face inwards towards an I door courtyard with lots of greenery a bit of an indoor jungle. No windows in the room but there was a glass wall covered badly by blinds so anyone in the outside can easily see in the gaps. One of the other walls was just painted bricks, kinda what i'd imagine the inside of a prison cell would be. The ceiling had The remains of previous lighting rigs. There was still size fridge in The room which was noisy as you'd expect from a full size fridge. The bathroom was large, dated, dirty and had a wardrobe with a boxed microwave on top of It, ironing board yes this is in the bathroom still, tiling was grubby and so was the floor. The bedding was questionable as to had it been washed or was the housekeeping department a gorilla that day with the amount of short and very long hairs that covers it, not mine or my travelling companion. The pool was a puddle, you could submerge in it but that's about all it was good for, and the surrounding area just looked grubby. Breakfast was ok, edible and very nicely presented as was the server. I have no idea why the comfort inn chain associate themselves with this establishment as it is seriously below the standard I expect from any place.

Its an old place but perfectly preserved. I loved the inside gardens and pool.

This place is good, I come here whenever I have things to do in Canberra as it is not far at all to anything in Canberra. The setting is light & airy, spacious, no 'sleep in a butterbox' type of feel. It is a venue that is a 'sleeper' because nobody seems to know about it, so I've always been able to get a room when I dropped in and usually at a fair price.

My family and I stayed here for 5 days, we really enjoyed it. Very clean and the beds are very comfortable, Air con and T. V, the pools, sauna, and gym. The Restaurant is nice, they cooked some beautiful meals. It is a very good place for families, the facilities are great! Very affordable too! We highly recommend this place for families or anyone that's looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday away. It's close to shops and only 10 drive to Canberra city centre.

Always very good service here. The beds are so comfortable a great place to rest a tired head! Although it's a quirky place with the outdoors inside the hotel it makes for a lovely experience. The rooms remind me of office blocks but it's a little change to the stereotypical clinical look of modern hotels. We always stay here when in Canberra.

This place needs a serious referb At check in we were informed that our room had been accidentally given to someone else. We had booked interconnected rooms as we had kids the manager seemed to be drunk and was dressed in track pants and a wallabies footy jumper I'm sure he was trained by Basil Faulty of Faulty Towers fame After half an hour of stuffing around we got given two keys to Side by side rooms that had a door connecting them but Basil could not manage to unlock it Needless to say we won't be back and won't be recommending comfort in Faulty Towers Queanbeyan to anyone.

Really amazing service! Stayed here over the weekend for the Spilt Milk music festival — everything went smoothly and was extremely helpful with booking transport/shuttle buses. Loved my stay thank you.

Just the right amount of comfort to have a good rest after a long trip. Nothing too flashy but does the simple things well.

I was here at camp for a day, may I say this was the most awful food I have ever tasted. The chicken was raw, potatoes were not cooked properly and for breakfast the bacon was covered in fat, the bread was as hard as a rock. The room beds were not even made, the bathroom looked disgusting, and we were told we couldn’t use a aircon because it costs money. Well guess what I payed money to stay here so I should damnwell have the right to turn on the aircon for whenever I feel the need to. I would not recommended anyone to stay here. I would rather camp outside.

Nice people, excellent food, clean & comfortable.

Never going back. Went there on a school camp and our food was not even cooked. On the first night they forced a girl to eat the food even though she was allergic and she had a reaction. Surprisingly enough the teachers had big suites each but us students had to share a tiny room with 5 people and 3 beds… Our bathroom door was kicked in and off its hinges. So much more reason why I wont EVER go back or I will never recommend.

Rooms slightly dated but comfortable. Unique rainforest inside gives a nice atmosphere not seen elsewhere.

I came here on a school camp. My friends and I stayed in a room that was pretty big. The food there was delicious with great service. We had lots of fun and I would recommend this place to others.

Poor Customer Service I called to book a room; stated the payment method I wished to use the receptionist stated she would need to check with the management and call back which she did. Upon arrival gave further details the manager sitting next to the receptionist said the price was wrong and would go up by $20 a night, and her way of fixing their error was to charge the client more who had driven 30 minutes out of the way to go there. I refused to stay on principal so cannot comment on their rooms.

The location suited my needs, the rooms need some maintenance and TLC, bathroom very dated, room was smelly and wardrobe doors did not close… some of the hinges needed adjusting. Some different window coverings for rooms facing the atrium would be suggested, very difficult to sleep with the light coming through the window.
Restaurant was average, took way too long to get your meal, and it was average food.
Check in staff were friendly.

Despite only having one microwave, This didn't feel like an early grave, Unfortunately there was asbestos, But at least they take eftpos, The mattress was like a rock, And we almost left a sock, The TV channels were great, We'll be back here each year mate.

We used this hotel because of the free long term parking situated 10 mins from the airport. We arrived on 24 Feb and flew to Wellington NZ and returned on 8 Mar. There was a mess up with the return booking and the courtesy bus pickup but it all worked in the end. The hotel is a little worn but fine.

Cheap, clean, good staff, taps were a little funny and the towels were showing age, would go back however.

We stayed here for a full week when we attended the kanga cup 2016 as a team and found that the place accommodated us very well, nothing was to hard when we ask which made the team feel special, we will be rebooking for kanga cup 2017… but please when we book there is only 1 thing a few off the parents have ask, can you keep cans of bourbon in the bar.

Paid cash yet they still charged my credit card three phone calls later and a promise to look into it and call me back never returned any of my calls.

Good: the air conditioning worked. Not so good: Room and bathroom are in desperate need of an update, room was dusty, toilet seat was broken (they even put the paper 'seal' after cleaning on the broken seat), TV was mounted so you couldn't watch TV from bed, no Foxtel or movie channels (local free to air TV only), couldn't sleep because of noise from main road and trucks, it's in the industrial area of town. Won't stay there again.

It's an old hotel but the beds are comfortable and the shower works. You also get breakfast buffet included in price.

The room. Was comfortable and clean. With the exception of a little bit of noise outside the room one night, it was quiet. It was central to our needs and it was reasonably priced. We stayed there before and we're likely to stay there again.

What a beautiful place to stay and lovely staff thanks staff for making our stay pleasant I will recommend to everyone to check this place out. I have no complaints at all. Absolutely beautiful. ☺

My school also went there for a school camp, my school is quite big and I was in a room of 8 They gave us 1 double bed and 1 single bed So we all slept on the floor and the food was crap.

Booked family room for 4 via Wotif. First the good. Very friendly staff both on phone and in person. The interior of the motel is unlike anything I have ever seen and my family were amazed at the "atrium". Massive palms and other plants around little ponds and a little bridge. We were quite dumb struck on our arrival. Great air conditioning, Great shower. Now the bad. Family room contained 4 mugs, 4 cups, 2 tea spoons, no crockery for family room with no microwave. Wooden slat blinds look great do not keep out lights in common area at night. Only Foxtel was sport, nothing else, no in house movies. Indoor pool too cold to swim in, water covered in flakes of something I assume from the ceiling. Ponds around the ground floor in atrium are either empty, stagnant and non flowing. Carpet in some spots of atrium were damp. View from first floor onto plants and indoor gardens disappointing as plants were covered in filth. Children's playground needed mowing, avoided. Lack of cleanliness of interior of ceiling in atrium apparent to a 6 year old. This could be one of the great stay-overs in the ACT, management just need to build on the wow factor of the atrium and fix all the things that are in need of attention.

Me and my son really enjoyed our stay here, we were passing through to the snow and decided to take a break in between, I was going to book on Wotif but called them instead as I had some questions and ended up getting a cheaper rate direct! Rooms was nice and clean and well worth what we paid, I will be staying here every year on the way to the snow.

My school went there for an excursion and the motel was pretty awful. The beds stank and it was tight and cramped for four kids to a room. The worst had to be the bathroom. It smelt gross, the floor was mouldy and damp and whenever you turned on the shower, a high-pitched "squeal" would be heard. Like this: "eeeeeeeeeee. ".

Atrium smells a bit musty and Wi-Fi signal isn't very strong. Overall, it is a good value hotel near Canberra.

Clean and neat rooms. Nothing flash but worth the money. Staff are friendly.
