Carly has been the highlight of our stay and our dinner. So polite and happy! Food was great! Service was amazing!

Awesome food, great staff and a fun place for drinks with mates.

The food was delicious with huge servings. Couldn't fault any of it.

Had a Christmas catchup with friends. Had a lovely quiet corner dining nook.
Very attentive staff.
Meals were presented nicely, tasty and served quickly.

The blokebarman Daniel was bloody great definitely a keeper good worker and people skills thanks mate for making our stay beautiful xoxo lucky you are young.

Staff are fantastic
perfect place to stay after you have been punted from the races. 10 minute walk, or 45 minute stagger.

Always love having lunch here. Food is always beautiful and the service is even better.

Beer and wine top shelf especially the schooners of great Northern in proper beer glasses 10/10.
The staff were so good can’t thank them enough. Played our slide shows and was aloud to play our (my) tunes.
All the youngsters had an easy access into town.

We went to the hotel for dinner. If you want a great pub dinner they have you covered, very reasonably priced. The restaurant looked and felt modern.

Hi. My family and I had dinner at the Prem tonight. I was skeptical because the food has been less than average over the past 5 years. But tonight it was amazing!
My daughter and I had the lamb cutlets and they were divine. We ordered an extra because we thought the 2 standard cutlets would be small but they were huge. My daughters boyfriend ate our extra one as we were stuffed. The men reported that the steaks (rump) were tender and done to order, one well done and one medium/rare so I was impressed. Mum had the special chicken kiev and said it was nice but secretly I think she wished she stuck to her ol' faithful, fish and chips. Bread (garlic ciabatta) was nice but nothing special for the 9 bucks it sets you back.
All in all, was a delightful night and the food has improved 1000%.
On a side note… It was a shame that I couldnt use my membership card for meals as the business has changed owners, seems a little unfair that the punters miss out on a standard that they are used to. Lucky the food made up for it.
Around $145 for 5 mains and 1 bread. Drinks arent cheap, standard pub price (paid $30 for a bottle of red which is standard restaurant price) so unfortunately this will be a special occasion place and not a weekly feed (maybe a 15 buck snitty every now and then on a tuesday).

Just would like to say food has been amazing since the new kitchen staff have gone in we have eaten there 3 times this week already and already planned our next meal I stopped coming in for food last year as there was no quality but absolutely blown away with the service there is there now and the staff are so friendly and amazing I know ill be definitely getting word out how great it is there now.

Staff are great. I stuffed up my accommodation. They found me another option and dropped me off there.

Few gluten free options. I ordered the corn cakes and not a corn kernel in sight — very disappointing meal.

Went here for food and drink before a football game at the nearby atadoum, good lively atmosphere of other fans, an OK but not extensive beer selection and food was decent, had a pulled pork burger which was very enjoyable.

We had an amazing dinner with our kids tonight. All our meals were perfect. It was fantastic and the staff were so amazing. Nothing was a hassle. Thanks we will be coming back.

My mum stayed there for 2 nights, seems good value for money with the rooms upstairs, the rooms themselves were nice, slight urine smell in the shared bathroom but nice place otherwise. Nice layout downstairs.

I got lasagne for kids ordered 2 was served adult sized meals within that tony told us we were to pay the difference so he sent one off hes girls across to our work to collect the extra 16 dollars for there mistake the lasagne was dry as anything with a few soggy chips on the side not even a salad on the plate either n has charged us 20 each we got 2 … when we rang back up to let them know it was dry we got told they dbt think thet want to service us anymore we have been regular customers for years now n I can honestly say after being treated like this off tony for being a good loyal customer of the premier hotel is wrong n ot acceptable … so dont worry tony u will never being getting our money for ur overpriced dryed out lasagne n ur customer service ia disgusting … u lost ur buisness alot of ppl who eat there regularly as not 1 of us girls will be coming back thanks mate have a merry chrissy wont … nice christmas spirit u have for ur customers hope u dont treat your other customers as poorly as this it would be a shame if u do …

Great atmosphere, good meals, accommodation and hospitality. Entertainment Fri. /Sat & some other nights. TAB and huge range of botique beers, great place for before and after horse races. :-)

Location was prime if bad for parking but well presented and good service.

Clean well run pub. Lots of beers on tap. Good food choices and a great supporter of live music. Saw Bounty Hunters play some fabulous rock and blues and had a terrific Sunday evening.

Waitstaff were very friendly, and the place had a great atmosphere with the musicians from Newcastle Music Academy playing at their Live Lounge.

Wonderful lunch yesterday Crunchy Chicken Salad with Macadamia Nuts was to die for. Totally recommend this dish. Staff were just lovely as well.

Had a great meal there my husband n I. I had scotch fillet steak, he had nacos a very enjoyable meal. Would recommend the premier for great meals n bar staff were also good.

The food is delicious, the service is fantastic, the location is great, and it's very close to public transport. Definitely my regular!

Came here to see a gig. It's a pretty standard pub, though it's painted nicely and has a good amount of room. The beer garden is indoor but made to look like an outdoor area with asto turf and umbrellas. Lots of TV's in the area. Facilities are clean and family friendly.

Food orders were continually wrong. One member was overcharged by more than half the price of their order. After asking for no cheese then being told the meal didn't come with cheese, it arrived smothered in Parmesan. Not cool.

We are regulars for a reason. Great food, lovely staff, just an allround top venue.

Called into The Premier after a work function at the nearby Newcastle Jockey Club to have a few (more) drinks. The atmosphere and band were great, the staff are wonderful, the perfect combination for a great nught out.

The staff are very friebdly and the food is always excellent.

I had an awesome night listening to local covers band, the service was excellent with the bar staff even remembering what I was drinking.

Great food and service a little pricier than expected though.

The front bar was well laid out. The band were tidy. The best part was the people I was drinking with.
