Old world charm in a modern city. Great place to come and relax after a hectic day. Friendly owners.

Nice place to stay at the coast with some wonderful facilities like archery and table tennis. If you want to use the spa or sauna you'll have to stay for a couple of nights because it's only open during the day and it was still freezing cold at 11am when we left. The breakfast is pretty average too.

Every thing perfect but only the room is too small,

It was a beautiful 80s style European getaway. Lovely hosts and amazing surrounds.

A wonderful relaxing hideaway, run by two lovely, welcoming people. I only stayed for an evening but would love to go back again.

My husband and I are both from Switzerland and that Chalet is so close to what you get in the swiss alps. We were met by the friendly owners who showed us all the facilities. As soon as you get up there you feel right at home. Right at the parking lot you'll see some kangaroos. Playing tennis and bushwalks are definetly a highlight up there. It is definetly a good place to get away and forget the busy cities. We are definetly refreshed after our stay there.

Spent the weekend here with my husband, it's a beautiful place to get back to nature and enjoy the peace and quiet and the staff are more than friendly.

The couple that run this place are absolutely lovely. The spa in the spa cabin fits two people even if one of them is very tall (I'm 2 metres tall). The grounds are gorgeous and Batemans Bay is only a 10 minute drive away. In the cabins, 4g and Wi-Fi are a bit patchy, which is great 90% of the time, my girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the city and work emails anyway. Though it might be a little challenging if you want to plan anything from your room, Wifi is available in the Chalet though so it's not like it is a great catastrophe by any means. Kangaroos can also be spotted on the grounds in the morning as well as at dusk. This place is perfect for a long weekend away from the city.

I fall in love with this place! Is like going to Europe without getting out of Australia. Beatiful view of the ocean, lovely and cozy venues. The rooms look like out of a fairy tale (so their size was not an issue). And they were very clean. Plus the staff attention was magnificent and personalized. And the cherry of the place is it's humble but delicious included breakfast, served by the owners themselves. Didn't got to try the pool or sauna. So, dying to come back soon. Pay a visit to Herbert and Elizabeth and you will also fall in love with them and this little NSW treasure too.

A place to truly relax and unwind! Elizabeth and Herbert are such beautiful hosts who can't do enough for you. My son thought it was 'better than the Gold Coast'. Breakfast in the communal dining room was yummy and delightful and the bottomless cups of coffee are appreciated ;) Wallabies running wild, the fresh mountain and see air — we'll be back for sure!

A lovely welcome by the owners Elizabeth & Herbert who really made us feel at home in their cosy chalet. We liked the big veranda with the ocean view and spent quite some time there as the weather was great. We also liked the bush walks around the place and were happy to see plenty of kangaroos and wallabies :)
Highly recommended if you need a peaceful and comfy place close to the beaches.

Im sure if we ever got there it would have been lovely. We phoned to check a booking we had made online for over new year was correct as the confirmation email was unclear. We were told that it was not right but to cancel that booking and make another one directly with them over the phone. We explained there were 4 of us we wanted the two adjoining rooms, how much would that be for three nights? $690 and half would be taken at time of booking. We agreed to this and the payment was taken and we were really looking Forward to getting there to treat my parents who were coming over from the UK. We then got a phone call 6 hours later to say they had made a mistake and charged us for only 3 people and we would need to pay an extra $120. As far as we are concerned, that was their mistake and we had made an agreement. We quite clearly told them multiple times that there were four of us and even told them how my parents were coming over from the uk. They told us they would give us a discount of 10% which would make it $810?! How is $10 dollars out of $820 ten percent?! Awful customer service. Would not recommend it.

Stayed here overnight on a work trip with wife. Beautiful setting and great hosts. Highly recommended.

I sent my Mother and Wife down to Swisse Spa for a bit of pampering and a relaxing massage. Just as they were due to leave home to attend their "pamper session" they received a call from Swisse Spa to advise that they would need to push back the appointment time for another hour due to a staff member running late. Upon arrival at the Spa my wife completed the medical questionnaire and then received an interrogation akin to the Spanish Royal Inquisition. May I suggest that if you are not a Dr you should refine your commentary to your area of expertise. So at this point both girls were thinking of leaving, and in hind sight should have done so. The treatment rooms were cold in both ambience and temperature, and when my mother mentioned that the massage was a bit firm, she was advise to "breathe through it! " Please visit this business at your own peril. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement.

Peaceful-spacious, clean room-great views-bush trail to walk-Excellent service-Fully equipped Spa with a huge variety of services. Good value Elizabeth is a true professional in the Spa-knows her stuff-excellent facial and reasonably priced other services as well. Well worth it-felt great.

My two sons and I had a very relaxing holiday. You are ten minutes from Batemans Bay which is perfect because you don't hear the traffic and people coming and going. You can hear a diverse range of birds and wild life. The bush setting is perfect. Elizabeth and Herbert are willing to do what ever it takes to make your stay everything you want it to be. My husband and I stayed over on the October long weekend. Herbert and Elizabeth are so friendly and awesome host. It was a home away from home yet they make it so homely. Their hospitality is beyond words. The breakfast was excellent. The place is excellent. So quiet and peaceful with bush surroundings. We will definitely be back for another home away. We will try deluxe room or cabin ones next time. To Herbert and Elizabeth, thank you so much for your hospitality and make us feel so welcome. You both are one of the kind.

My husband and I stayed here on the June long weekend. It was a home away from home and went beyond meeting our expectations. We've stayed in over 70 different countries, in many different types of accommodation and I'd have to say this one felt the most homely. The couple that run the place are lovely and were eager to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We stayed in the delux room number 6. The room had a great vibe, light-filled, outlook with views to the bush and beyond plus everything you would need with a sweet old-world charm to it. Very swiss, very chalet and simply a delight to stay in. Oh, and the included breakfast was great.
