My wife and two boys just got home from an amazing 5 nights at Star of the Sea.
The facilities are amazing, the apartment was stunning, the poolside Cafe and bar were great, and Bob the Boss and his staff were exceptional.
The only drawback was trying to get our apartment owner to go on holidays again this time next year so we can go again!

Been to this fantastic resort a few times in the past. I do recommend the resort, facing the beach, close to shops and cafe.

A good place with will maintained good facilities. Its quit around so its great place for walking around and relaxing. Beach, restaurants and cafes are in a short walk distance. Excellent indoor pool. Great areas fpr kids to play. Staff are kind and friendly. Can be costy during high seasons. Erina fair mall is about 10 minutes with good options for entertainment and shooping.

A group of 5 couples stayed here in the 5 bedroom penthouse in March for 4 days and was a great weekend spent with friends, plenty of room here for 10 adults, Unit comes with a large spa on the deck and lots of outside deck room to entertain on. Large covered tables with comfortable seating. There is another table and deck area off the kitchen which can be utilised to follow or escape the sun during the day. Plenty of showers and ensuites, bedrooms all generous sizes with comfy beds. A large dining area is also great size for shared meals with friends. Kitchen is spacious, clean and has all the modern appliances with a large refrigerator. A large pool is on the property which requires a walk down to the front of the property to access with lots of fun for the kids with water slides etc. There is a more intimate pool around the eastern side of the property which is a great place to relax. BBq area is a decent walk to the southern end of the property, but not that practical IMO. Restaurants & bars are close by with only a short walk to main street. Marina across road isn't that pleasant to swim as bottom is covered in rocks.

Everything I expected from a luxury apartment and more. Service was easy, accessible and convenient. Perfect place for families with plenty to keep everyone happy during day and comfortably sleeping at night. Bob is your MAN! He's a true gentleman.

Beautiful place, have stayed here a few times. A little dated and some of the layouts can be a little strange. Great pools and other facilities. Close to restaurants and cafes. Overall a great place for a get away.

Nice fully furnished units a short walk from terrigal beach. The pool is multi-level with a hot tub and a slide. They just opened (redid) the little cafe next to the pool area and is a nice set up. You can even swim up and order drinks. Play ground and other stuff for kids and good rates.

Awesome place. Would go back again in a heart beat. Great facilities for kids of all ages and the apartments are beautiful. Our room had an amazing outlook. Would go back again tomorrow if I could.

We have been regulars at Start of the Sea for many years now. Bob and the Team are outstanding and always greet you with a smile. The facilities are great the service is first class. Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. The ocean front rooms have exceptional views. Highly recommended if staying on the Central Coast.

From what I remember, this place is pretty phenominal in terms of having a holiday; there are some great views of the area when you look down from the veranda of any of the higher floors. There is even a pool with a water slide AND a bar on the pool where you can sit on the chairs that are in the water and enjoy any cold drink! Overall the best part I found in terms of this place is the pool. If I could id give it 4.5 stars.

Offers short term apartment rentals. It is probably a bit of a stretch to refer to the facilities as 5 star as there is not 24 hour reception or concierge. You also have to take out your own rubbish down to the basement which I found bizarre considering this is advertised as luxury accommodation. The apartment I stayed in was clean and tidy with up to date appliances although I did not actually use them. The walk to the beach is relatively short but down a hill (which you will obviously have to climb back up). I would consider staying here again but I would probably explore other options as I don't think this offers anything beyond a decent private holiday rental unless you use the courts or pools.

Totally loved this staying again in January. View was awesome.

Beautiful accommodation and amazing views all perfectly located walking distance to the Terrigal shopping strip.

Appliances available inside the apartments were not good enough to be 5 star, other than that the apartments were nice and other amenities were great, customer service was okay and can be improved to be more professional.

Overall, it was a great place to be. Staff can’t handle a situation in a professional manner, they have quiet a character in them and made me and my friends and family unwelcome.

6th year of holidaying here with girlfriends. Beautiful spacious apartments we all have our own rooms and bathrooms so great for sharing and private time. Spa service to apartments. Great friendly and helpful staff. Love the views and location, walking distance to beach, shops and cafes. Tropical grounds all make for perfect luxury getaway.

A nice place but be ready to cope with loud parties going all night… every night.

Excellent Accommodation & Staff — Some Items Do Require Attention. Stayed here over the past weekend for 3 nights for my Grandma's 80th Birthday. We had a 5 bedroom unit which was amazing, large and spacious with excellent views, very clean and comfortable. We have stayed at Star of the Sea and i'm sure we will again as apart from a few points it is a fantastic time away. The negative points I feel need addressing are the following: *Cooking utensils — Unfortunately the cooking facilities are completely unacceptable for the price being charged. The pots and pans were at best home brand from Woolworth's, the knives were blunt as a butter knife and the largest breadboard was barely big enough to cut a tomato. Quite disappointing when trying to cook breakfast or lunch for 9 people! Also some proper dish washing liquid wouldn't go astray over the small useless sachets provided. *Internet — 250MB per device per 24 hours is unacceptable in this day and age. It was completely unreliable and I find it hard to believe the 250MB quota was accurate as it seemed to last 15 minutes while sending simple emails. For the price being charged I don't think an unlimited data plan is asking too much. Its max $90 a month, room rates were close to $5, 000 for 3 nights. Apart from the above 2 points I highly recommend the place for a great holiday. Just don't expect to be able to work from here or cook too much in the room.
