Absolutely loved every minute. The hosts were wonderful and very lovely. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Myself and my husband had the most amazing time. Thank you to Tony for being so generous with your time, thank you so much for letting me help with taking care of the horses. Robyn and Micheal.

We had the most amazing time here as a family. My kids were obsessed with Delta and Douglass the 2 beautiful dogs that live here and Jenny and Tony were so accommodating and friendly. We went on amazing walks on the property, the kids fed the horses, we swam in the pool and toasted marshmallows by the fire. We highly recommend Hidden Haven, no better way to reconnect in every way. We plus our dog Link had such a wonderful relaxing weekend! It’s 10 out of 10 🙌 Loved every minutes being the beautiful natures, listening to the birds singing and sound of the winds, watching millions of stars at night and meeting wild animals! This place is super dog friendly 🐶 Our dog Link loved running freely, swimming, walking in the bush and also playing with the owners dogs, Doug and Delta☺️ If you are lucky, they will knock your door to say hello, too😆 We stayed in the cabin with loft. It was clean, warm, very well equipped, with extremely comfortable beds! We loved the fireplace and siting in the deck. The owners, Tony and Jenny were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for having us! I can’t recommend this place enough! We will definitely be back!

We used a camping area at the top of a ridge over looking the valley. Amazing with great views and so quiet.

2 night stay in July 2021 as a family of 5. Absolutely beautiful place to stay — location was amazing and very relaxing and cabins were warm, very well equipped, with extremely comfortable beds and spotless. Plenty for 3 teenagers to do including tennis, table tennis, pool and adventurous bush walks. Owners very friendly and accommodating — treated us almost like family. Can’t recommend Hidden Haven highly enough — we will definitely be returning, with mountain bikes and dog next time.

Great place to unwimd and relax on a weekend. Peaceful place, lives up to its name 'Nirvana '. I have visited twice. Great service by the owner and the care taker of the property.

Amazing place. Far from everything. No phone, no inherent, no locality around. You can listen to the nature. You can enjoy the silence. The cottages need to be revamped quite a bit. But the ambience covers for everything. Loved it. Highly recommended. Once again, please don't expect a star hotel like confirm.

Do yourself a favour & take some time out at this beautiful retreat. Lovely rustic accommodation. Sit on the deck & listen to nothing but the birdsong or enjoy Rainforest reflection walks. The motto is “Just Be” and you certainly can here.

What an amazing place. The host and The Owner (who happened to be visiting Retreat) simply outstanding. Big hotel chains should. Learn a thing or two from Nirvana. Very welcoming, warm, friendly people. Beuatiful serene property … living amongst birds. You just cant have enough of this place. Well apointed rooms. Excellent cooking facilities… lush green, the host and Manager was simply outstanding in customer service. We would go back again and again and again and again… well done Team Nirvana. See you soon.

A serene place offering walks and beautiful scenery with rescued animals to spend time with and relax at night-time by your cosy warm cracking fire. And your dog can enjoy all this alongside you, because they are welcome too!

Myself and my partner visited this place last weekend for our 3 year anniversary!
Omg what can I say we arrived in the rain at dark we woke to the magical beautiful rainforest we went exploring thought the yoga walls very relaxing and the sound of beautiful wildlife, it was clean comfortable and very relaxing would definitely highly recommend for anyone who would like a weekend away with there loved ones or family. I must say it felt like home walks animals relaxation and extreme 4x4 tracks. If your looking for a weekend away go them in Barrington I can't wait to visit again! a weekend is not long enough.

My husband & myself had a lovely weekend away at Nirvana and loved the feeling of “Just Being”. The tranquility and ambience of the bellbirds, the babbling brooks and rustling of the trees filled each moment with relaxation and peace. The meandering of tracks and trails were easily accessible. Our loft cabin was warm, comfortable and well maintained. Our weekend filled us with gratitude, and thankful memories in a rather factious world.

What a great place to get away to relax. Lovely views and great staff. Beautiful and green from all the rain. Will be back.

We have just had an amazing few days at Nirvana Spiritual Retreat. We kept the kids busy with bush walking, tennis, mountain biking, swimming, fed the horses and cooked damper on the fire. We ventured to Gummi and swam in the waterfall. We went on a night walk and saw glow worms. Ingrid the host is very friendly and helpful. Our cabin was great, perfect for a family of 6, we will definitely be back to Nirvana Spiritual Retreat.

Truly a peaceful and beautiful environment to spend some time. Accomodation exceeded my expectations, super clean and all fittings were of a very high standard. Welcoming and accommodating hosts and so wonderful to have the horses wandering happily around. A great place for walks on the property and easy to find solitude.

What an amazing place to go and just relax. A couple of days up there has been incredibly good for our souls.

Serenity! Open space! Clean air! Beautiful river! Romantic lodges!
Australia countryside, flaura, fauna! We had been waiting to get here, far from the maddening crowd! And Nirvana offered us just that. What a place to introspect, to meditate, to rejuvenate! … Warning — You might decide to not get back to urban life!

This was a great find for us. Our dogs were welcomed and had plenty of space to run around; Ingrid (manager) met us at check in and ensured we were comfortable for the duration of our stay. We stayed in a larger than expected cabin that had everything we needed to prepare meals, relax and rest. Each bathroom even has a spa bath. Ingrid ensures everything is spick and span. The property is huge with loads of walking tracks, some challenging and others quite easy with two walks… signposted as mindful, reflection strolls. Take all your food as Gloucester is 40 mins away, though there is an on-site cafe for light lunches, coffee, and Ingrid makes delicious scones!
Don't expect Wi-Fi, though if required there is free connection near the reception area, but not suitable for reams of data.
Foxtel is connected for TV viewing (so we didn't miss GOT.

Not much of a review writer but have traveled around the world a bit and stayed at a couple of so called nature retreats which always ended up being commercial in nature. Randomly got invited to this place by some mates and our interest picked up on the way from the Gloucester town to the retreat! From the moment we arrived, was treated with a warm welcome and a spick and spack cottage tucked away up the little hill. The cottages were minimalistic with the basics we …needed … and immaculately clean. Really didn’t expect to see a clean toilet in the environment … but was the Mrs surprised to find one with a mini jacuzzi! 3 days vanished walking in the rain forest, exploring the creeks, bird watching and well by having some couple time. Star gazing in the open skies was an eye feast. Pity couldn’t capture them on the camera … watching the sunrise between the hills was where we found “Nirvana”. Overall had an amazing getaway from the busy lifestyle … will go back for sure and hopefully soon! Pros : friendly staff, nature paths, trekking, river wall, bird watching, nature resort, peace at its best and well surprisingly the cows. Cons : pack enough food and drinks as the nearest town is around an hour drive and stores close around 4 pm.
The place is pristine virgin lands … avoid plastic, rubbish or dispose them responsibly.

This is my third visit here for 2n3d stay. I almost cancelled my trip the first time reading one of the negative comment. Here's something one needs to get, it's an outback. If you fancy Hilton comforts, please don't travel in lovely outbacks and stick your butt to your heated toilet seatings. If you love Australia and what it offers, I found this places as my top 5 places to go to in 4 hrs getaway from Sydney. Here's what I love, clean accommodation, personal space, activities to engage kids around the retreat (horse riding, farm animals), gorgeous landscape and one of the most lovely host. If you are genuinely looking for a value for money and a pleasant experience, Nirvana Spiritual Retreat is the place. Kudos to the owners, the Krishnan brother's (hope I got the spelling right). Highly recommended.

My daughter Rubie and I stayed at Nirvana a couple of weeks ago, along with us was my Great Dane Hippie and my mother’s sausage dog Sonny. The moment we arrived we felt welcomed and were so touched that our fur babies were just as welcome as we were. The Caretakers Hayley and Ben could not have been more helpful and we felt right at home by them, such lovely, lovely people. It’s such a gift to be able to relax and allow your doggies to run free and a bonus was the resident Dane Emmet, what a gentle lovely big he is. Nivarna is a peaceful place to be, threre are no outside nosies except the birdlife. The accomodation was exactly what we had imagined, rustic and homely. If your expecting to stay in the country, please expect country style. Things aren’t perfect for those who expect perfection, but for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and “just be”, it’s perfect. We can’t wait to visit again soon, Sammi and Rubie x.

Unparalleled quiet and serenity. My wife and I had a marvelous weekend getaway without our phones and enjoyed the bush life. The drive to and through the retreat is most beautiful and all the walks once can explore on foot (or in a 4x4 if you're more adventurous) make the space very special. There are also a few animals on the premises that are very friendly. Highly recommended!

Don’t waste your money and look elsewhere! This is a public complaint for Nirvana Spiritual Retreat: I booked in as a couple for late December, just after Christmas. We found the ad on a website and thought it sounded quite nice, but we were in for a bit of a shock! We booked in for 5 days and got there on the 28th, later than we were expected. There had been a couple of email exchanges with the owner prior, all seemed pretty good. We were introduced by a girl and a guy, I think the girls name was Stephanie. We were taken up to the rooms and the moment I walked in, I could tell someone had wiped down the walls, as they were still wet. Not only that, the hut smells like what I call ‘the old cat ladies house’. Anyway, I overlooked it. Later on we notice the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, the shower flooring had dirt all over it. It needed a pretty good scrub! The dishes and utensils were oily and some of them clearly weren’t given attention when they were ‘cleaned’. The BBQ on the balcony was feral, there was absolutely no attention to detail like they stated in their advertising. Fair enough if you want to ‘bush it up’, but ‘Nirvana Spiritual Retreat’? Yeah right. There were far more inconsistencies, but here’s the worst one. We were there for a day when we had an emergency situation in Sydney that we needed to attend to. I rang and spoke to a guy on the phone, informing him that we needed to leave early, and asked if there was a way we can get a refund.

Was supposed to have fully equipped kitchen. Not. Floor nails are standing proud and stick into your and tear your socks. There was rubbish left in the bathroom. It was swept into a nice pile but left in the room. One of the burners if the two burner cooktop did not work. One of the two bedside lamps did not work. Girl was going to bring to bring us wood for the fire when we arrived on Friday offered to bring it to the room for us as we handed in our key when leaving. Derrrrr. There were no visible signs for the walking tracks and in fact no visible sign of the tracks at all. That’s it, you decide.

Nice relaxing, friendly and knowledgeable host, no mobile reception, tennis court and walks… perfect vacation.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The Yoga Walks are a great way to reflect, explore and experience.

Simply divine Ayurvedic weekend at Nirvana Spiritual Retreat in the Barrington tops. Rajeesh and Kailash are the most generous and delightful hosts. I love their motto 'Just Be', and this is the perfect place to do just that. Great food, bush walks, massages; delightful, fully equipped and private cabins. Great for yoga and Ayurvedic retreats.

Absolutely ideal for a romantic time away. We loved the welcoming, casual yet luxurious atmosphere and just getting the log fire in the cabin going was an event in itself. This is a place to revisit time and time again.
