Mt Warning Rainforest Park

Been coming to Mt Warning Rainforest Park since my daughter was little — we used to wake up early and do the Mt Warning hike. It’s a great spot with a beautiful creek, hot showers, a swimming pool, and a well-equipped camp kitchen with BBQs, fridges, toaster and kettle. Dogs are allowed, it’s peaceful with no noisy campers, and the atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly. Service can be minimal at times, but honestly that makes it easier to switch off and enjoy the surroundings. Campfires are permitted and firewood is available, which is a big plus. A special mention to Deano, a local Aboriginal artist who often paints there — you can go home with an amazing, meaningful artwork. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to unwind, surrounded by nature, and very reasonably priced.

There is a chance of yuppies /bunch of teenagers having a party. Pick your own spot. Close to murwillumbah and uki. Pool was dirty but the creek was fun.

Great location friendly staff cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything you would need. The park had a nice relaxing feel right amongst the rainforest would highly recommend definitely good value.

Love the family eco cottages, they are beautiful and very clean. The staff are super friendly and understanding. The creek where I spent most of my time is the most picturesque peaceful place. I’m loving watching big fishes swimming upstream. Big crayfishes jumping from boulder to boulder (never seen that before)

Never seen this before — I was loving watching good size fishes swimming upstreams, top half out of the water. Amazing! Crayfishes jumping from boulder to boulder, 🤭 and on me! — still couldn’t catch it. The creek water looks so clean, it made me feel like I could drink it! But I didn’t — I sipped my MacDonald chai while thinking it.

We camped out the back in the wilderness section, next to the creek. Good facilities — camp kitchen was huge! And toilet blocks while dated, were clean & the hot water was hot!
Grounds were well kept, and fire pits provided. Firewood avail for $15 a bag. Wifi avail through most of the park — an unexpected bonus.
Would definitely stay here again.

My Warning rainforest park was a lively place to spend a weekend. It is a beautiful setting and the park staff are friendly and helpful and the park is well presented. It was a perfect position for us to enjoy the area and to cycle the Northern rivers rail trail.

Beautiful place nestled in the forest so peaceful and relaxing. The man at reception was incredibly kind. I had called ahead to ask if there were any sites available, but could't book online. He told me not to worry and said he would wait for us to arrive, even though it was close to 7 PM. After a long day on the road, that kind gesture meant a lot. Thank you again!

This was the loveliest place so quiet, tranquil and surrounded by beauty. The cabin was fully equipped and we had everything we needed. Staff are great! Definitely will come again!

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The floors were filthy, and I found loose hair in the bed sheets, which made it feel unhygienic. Towels were damp and also had hair on them. There were dirty dishes left in the kitchen, no coffee and no bin liner provided. The G.
Oogle photos of the cabins are not as advertised. Overall, the place felt unclean and poorly prepared for guests. Would not recommend.

My family and I stayed for a few nights at the Mt Warning Rainforest Park (MWRP) during the most recent Qld school holidays along with a group of 17 family friends. Whilst the park ablutions and camp kitchen were a little dated, they were clean and all in working order and our stay mostly enjoyable despite the continuous rainfall at the time.
One incident however that had occurred at the end of our stay after we had left, has resulted in the decision that NONE of us will EVER stay there again.
Upon arriving at the MWRP, I noted that the staff member that had met us upon arrival, whom I later learned was the manager and owner named ‘Mark’, seemed quite distant and had a surly and even somewhat miserable attitude and this was reinforced with the one or two further interactions I had with him during our stay.
Fast forward to my family and I returning home from our camping trip, I had realised that I had inadvertently left some camping lights at our campsite and I immediately called the MWRP around 7pm and spoke directly with Mark about it. He suggested I call the following day given that it was by then, well after hours.
The following day, I sent an email to MWRP outlining the situation and providing my contact details also stating my preparedness to pay for all associated postage costs. I later also called that same day and spoke to Mark who confirmed that he had seen my earlier email.

Absolutely love this park, visited previously in tents, stayed in a beautiful cabin this time, tastefully decorated, great heating and amazingly hot water!

This accommodation is falsely advertised. It has mould on the curtains, paper thin curtains that give you NO privacy and aren't wide enough to cover the windows, cupboards with broken hinges, cupboards too high to reach with spider webs, a wicker chair on the deck with a mouldy cushion, lounge on the deck with a split in the sofa. It's advertised with having a main bathroom and an ensuite, but it's the same bathroom with a door from each bedroom.

We stayed in the cabins which have been renovated and were very comfy and had everything we needed. Mark was the perfect host. Recommended day trips for us to do despite obviously being very busy. Was nice to get away from everyday life and reset without the distraction of devices. Was so nice to be in amongst nature and we slept a lot. A little less rain would have been good so we could have enjoyed the facilities more but we didn’t have any control over that.

This place is in a great spot, so peaceful and relaxing. We have a large van and were given a spot that was perfect for us. I was a little worried reading previous negative reviews in relation to the amenities and management but there is no issues at all. The amenities might be a little dated but they were kept clean the staff were accommodating. Will definitely be back.
