My husband and I recently had lunch in the new beer garden at the Boomerang Hotel, and we were so impressed.
The food was absolutely excellent, fresh, generous portions, and beautifully presented.

The room was in perfect conditions, really good housekeeping. Also the owners were really nice with us! Highly recommend it!

We stayed for 2 nights. The place was comfy and clean. Staff were nice and helpful. A hassle free stay is what you need on your holiday.

Close to where we needed to be. Room was clean, bed comfy and so tp the pillows. Road is very busy and noisy at night with trucks but overall would probably stay again.

Travelling for work, and got one of the last rooms in the budget section, usually used by workers. It was clean and comfortable, and had a good nights sleep.

We were very impressed with the large room, spacious ensuite, laundry facilities, desk, large balcony and generous breakfast.
We would definitely return. Thank you.

I stay here every time I have work booked in Mackay at least 4 times a year, Rooms a comfortable and clean, great location and awesome value. 10/10 would recommend.

Check in service was great, bed was comfortable for a good night sleep 😴. Price was very reasonable compared to other places.

First of all, I would like to commend the owners of the place. Although I arrived well before the official check-in time (11:00), I was still given the room I had booked.

The continental breakfast is great value with a pancake maker, toast, cereal, coffee and juice. The select dinner menu includes pizza, parmi and amazing rib fillet steak and is extremely well priced.

Quite a good room but the TV didn’t work. Convenient with The Shamrock Hotel across the road for a good feed. Quite spacious and comfy bed.

We recently stayed at the Tropic Coast Motel for one night while my daughter had a specialist medical appointment, and it was exactly what we needed.

Easy access to rooms, basic but clean — I was told no daily service however my towels were changed daily so — bonus if you need that.
Breakfast bar but no evening meals, pool on location too.

I would definitely stay here again based on the service alone. The rooms were also better than other motels I've stayed at — spacious, super clean (even the carpet! ) and comfy beds.

We had an unscheduled visit to Mackay and were in need of accommodation at short notice. Most accommodation in town was fully booked due to a large sports carnival in town.

Stay Mackay regularly. Best motel so far. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, great showers. Room towards rear very quiet, no traffic noise at all. Easy access and handy location.

I have stayed here many times before. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. It is so convenient being located right at the airport.

All Rooms are pretty decent sized.
A good staff roster let down by 1 bad apple who happens to be there majority of the time.

As a business, we have been booking our operators in at White Lace Motor Inn for years now, for short term and sometimes for stays up to a month.

Good central location, easy to find, easy access to the city centre for a meal, clean quiet and comfortable. All we needed for an overnight stay driving Brissy to Cairns.

Very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly.

Wonderful, friendly service. Low price yet beautifully clean rooms and modern ammenities. Very comfortable bed and great air cons. I won’t stay anywhere else besides here in Mackay again.

We had a very comfortable stay at The Alara Motor Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was absolutely amazing.

Highly recommend. Facilities are spotless, staff helpful and polite. Jimmy D's restaurant serves great food, is right next door and has a dog friendly area overlooking the pool.

Absolutely outstanding service from the manager Paddy and his wife. They really went the extra mile.

Stayed at Country Plaza Motor Inn in Mackay for an overnight stop and couldn’t fault it. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed however some colour would be nice.

Sun Plaza Motel is budget friendly and rooms are well equipped. I had a minor problem with the aircon remote which was attended to immediately.

Okay price for what it is. Bit of an issue with hot showers, but rectified by second night. Clean, bit dilapidated (VHS player next to TV etc). Stayed in worse.

We are family with kids had nice stay for 2 nights.
My kids enjoyed swimming and playing in the pool. Occasional flights landing gives a great view from the pool and pool area.

Conveniently located and clean rooms. The staff where friendly and helped us with a late check in by sending me the details I needed to access our room. Great place for short stays.

My wife & I had 2 nights accommodation in a perfectly located beach front villa (number 16).
Two bedrooms, well appointed amenities including both fans & a/c as well as a fully equipped kitchen.

For the price, you really can’t complain about this resort. The rooms are dated but clean. The beds are very firm, if you like that.

Very happy with our stay. I booked the family room and was very happy with it. Comfortable beds, good shower pressure, and very little noise from the main road.

Friendly staffs and very helpful, room was clean and wonderful. I will return for sure.

So ive used these guys a couple times now for a stop in before heading to work.

Good motel.
Excellent Rooms with good bed and mini bar as well as nice bathroom but would prefer some little soap bars for on my travel back tho the motel did supply nice biscuits and tea and coffee.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff and the location was perfect for me as it was close to shops and only 5 minutes drive from my daughter's house.

Very welcoming staff. Not the cleanest room u could find and the bathroom is a bit old. Otherwise all functionable appliances with all u need for a night stay.

Very nice homely feel. Debbie is great host and very accommodating. Wish I had more time to lax out in the massive bathtub.

Just a perfect place, I stayed 2 nights. Host is young gorgeous and helpful. Plenty of food in basket, bread in freezer, everything is marked to your room. Room is big and beautiful.

I stayed there 2 weeks ago and absolutely loved that they accept pets, I will certainly go back. The lady owner was a delight to talk to. The hotel and room are simple which does not bother me at all.

Visited Mackay for a friends wedding and chose to stay at the Ocean International due to the amazing hotel restaurant.

We loved our stay at Beachside Boutique, the room was absolutely lovely, plenty of room, great location, park and beach straight across the road, We ordered breakfast which was very nice.

After a 1200 k drive it was a great motel to stay in, apart from the people next door who left the TV on all night. I would give it 5 stars except the lady at check in wasn’t very friendly though.

Very clean and easy secure parking which fit my 2.22m high vehicle. Bit pricey but definitely very comfortable.

I recently stayed here and had the pleasure of staying in room 100 I enjoyed it and I love the atmosphere and the way the room was set and everything was clean and comfortable was fantastic.

Arrived in mackay around 10.30pm last flight and was greeted by one of the nicest night auditors. It felt like being at home.

Hidden charges, ended up costing $520 more after room booking, air-conditioning driped onto my face after cateract surgery.
