The rooms are nice, a little old but still a ver classic european style. The hotel is really nice and the service excellent. The best thing is their tea service at L'Orangerie. Honnestly one of the best ones I've seen. Also don't miss their rooftop bar, great views and delicious drinks.

If you have one place to stay for a night or two and you want to reward yourself, then this is the place to stay. Excellent service, very nice rooms and great breakfast buffet in the morning, It's a well deserved place to stay when one is traveling a lot and you deserve to treat yourself to something great!

Wonderful hotel in BA which is meticulously maintained and staffed. Terrific indoor pools and gym. Would be a $1500 hotel in Europe, easy.

Beautiful place, that itself is overly expensive. It's impossible to have tea or coffee for a middle-class person. Nor to indulge! The price is in ounces of gold almost. 700 pesos a each snack! They're delusional!

A palace with exquisite taste and decoration. Dreamed rooms with all the services and excellent gastronomy. An oasis in the city, worth visiting.

Visited for afternoon tea. The staff were initially rather rude — the whole point of a five star is the service, this is a memo they hadn't received. After we actually sat down, food was fab, waiting staff were helpful and friendly and environment was lovely. Well worth a visit.

We went to have tea with several friends. All very rich but the service disastrous. The smaller tables were well served but to ours we had to ask several times to serve what was already hired. It is not advisable for more four pardons.

A classic of the most refined of Buenos Aires. The building itself is a work of art that is worth sitting and appreciating in detail. Although the prices are high, my experience is worth it since the service is much higher in quality, both in the service of table and in the atmosphere and the attention of the waiters. There is no compulsory dress code, at least during the day.

Four, Not Five-Star We supposedly had a King Deluxe Room; it looked out on roofs and was very strangely shaped. Unable to use the handheld shower; bidet was a waterfall waiting to happen. Room still not made up at 3 pm; we called and the desk asked us why this mattered to us. (We had the "Make up Room sign out all day. ) Well, it mattered because it was 95 and we wanted to take a siesta along with everyone else in the hotel. P. S. The maids were well tipped by us.? Wifi kept fading out in the room. Good points: Public areas are palatial and baroque; breakfast and tea were quite nice and service was excellent. The rooftop bar was lots of fun. Stay somewhere else and go to tea and the rooftop bar.

I attended a parade and I got to know the place for the first time. It is a beautiful place. All very neat, and organized by the part of the hotel. I hope to return soon. Highly recommended for events.

The brunch is excellent although this last time the salty was ok but the sweet… from another world. They must have changed WL Baker and it shows!

A fabulous stay in this magical hotel.

A very prominent place in Buenos Aires. The roof Bar on the terrace of the hotel is a very nice place to have a drink. The prices are not expensive, according to the place and the views of the city are very nice. It's not the first choice I would have chosen, but I was surprised at how comfortable and well catered it is. No particular wardrobe is needed to enter.

We went there for their Sunday brunch. Loved the experience. Drinks are 100% included in the price, which is not common in buffet style food. —

An experience to be lived. To the lovers of the culture and the architecture I recommend a walk in the neighborhood where the embassies are located. That place is a journey back in time to a golden age. The yellow bus tours of Buenos Aires leave you in many classic destinations, but there is much more to discover. Warning, if you walk out of the tourist corridor, take precautions, take them seriously. It's worth it if you know how to understand and enjoy.

An amazing hotel with superb staff. We stayed here twice now and both times were anything but disappointed. The hotel is located in such a way that one needs to grab a cab and cannot really walk to many places. That said, the size of Buenos Aires makes a walking a long-winded undertaking, so that wouldn’t be a fault of the hotel as such. Quality of the rooms, corridors and pool area was flawless. Once the staff even managed to work around us in our rooms without disturbing anybody. We felt welcome, helped when needed and taken care of: exactly what you’d expect from such a traditional and magnificent place.

An excellent hotel with a lot of level lunches and dinners are a dream and take the afternoon tea is like being in a palace the truth very but very cute.

The hotel itself is beautiful. I went to several events and it is always impeccable. I can't say the same about the Tea menu… While there is variety, for the cost and the place I do not think of the best… Not to mention that when I went I was charged 2 instead of 1… but I want to think it was a mistake without ill will.

The best place to meet for a coffee or a champagne. Elegant, quiet, excellent table service, of the waiters. Another world, far from chaos.

Beautiful turn of the century luxury hotel, that withholds the tradition of wonderful service, personalized attention, good bar, wonderful food. Romantic salons that respect the original style of when it was built.

We've come to the hotel for a snack.
The service is excellent. The bartenders were super attentive. And the amount of food was adequate.
In general, the snack takes place in a winter garden. This time it was in a room with no natural light.
It is ideal for people who enjoy the tranquility and the beauty of history.

I went to take the tea with friends and had a 10. A dream to be in there! Beautiful experiences!

A beautiful place of luxury architecture has luxurious coffee shop and obvious super expensive restaurant but it's worth it.

Luxury Classic hotel of Buenos Aires de Corte Ingles. It has a small gallery of internal shopping and a beautiful cafeteria. Very high prices.

I haven't been to the hotel per se, however i've been to the Sunday Brunch at l'orangerie and all I can say is that was spetacular.

I must clarify, I never stayed at this hotel and — after this last experience — I never will. I was walking with my service dog, doing my shopping around the area. Then, I crossed the street onto Alvear Palace Hotel. Four men surrounded me, a fifth one came in shortly identifying himself as the manager. I explained my dog was a service dog, I told them they were making me feel intimidated. They walked me out of their premises. It is quite clear to me now that Alvear Palace Hotel do not care for handicap people. What ashamed, everyone else in town has been most accommodating and respectful both to me and my service dog.

Location Prices correspond to the area … Breakfast is good, but it's the same as in other hotels of this class.

Alvear is a supremely elegant hotel, a classic of Buenos Aires. Located in one of the most distinguished areas, surrounded by restaurants and shops, it is ideal to enjoy the city. In my case when I come to BA I do not stay in hotels because I have an apartment, but I know the Alvear rooms because I have Uruguayan friends who stay at this hotel and I can say that they are beautiful, large and furniture style environments. The hotel in itself is a delight to the eyes, classic and beautiful. The service is impeccable and the restaurant is very good. If you are looking for is a classic and elegant experience this is the place.

The truth is that I am very grateful for the opportunity to say that I liked very much and I recommend it! Nor the duden, enter from an and enjoy! And if they are afraid, just look at the beauty of its architecture you will want to give a traveled spot, sure that Yes!
