Royal Hotel Oran - MGallery Collection

I don’t usually write reviews, but after spending 10 days at The Royal Hotel MGallery in my hometown, I felt I had to share just how exceptional the experience was from beginning to end.
I arrived at 3am, tired and expecting a quiet check-in, but instead, I was greeted by Yassine, whose warmth and professionalism set the tone for the entire stay. Naima at the front desk was just as lovely, always smiling, helpful, and genuinely kind.
Breakfast each morning was something I actually looked forward to, thanks to the great team led by Houari and Karima, and the tall head chef (whose name I didn’t catch, sadly). They made each morning feel relaxed and enjoyable, and the food was spot on.
A huge thank you as well to Assia and Amina from housekeeping, they kept everything immaculate and were always friendly. And I really appreciated Alilou from the security team, he was polite, reassuring, and just made you feel safe.
What stood out the most, though, was the warmth and genuine hospitality from everyone I came across. It didn’t feel like just good service it felt personal. I was made to feel welcome, valued, and looked after in a way that really stayed with me.
To everyone at the hotel: thank you for making my stay so special. You’re a fantastic team, and you represent both the hotel and the Accor Group incredibly well. I’m already looking forward to seeing you again in August.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, providing all the necessary comforts. I particularly appreciated the hotel's quiet atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, with fresh, high-quality products. The hotel's location is ideal, close to public transport, shops and major tourist attractions. I highly recommend this establishment for a successful stay.

Top 5 star hotel in Oran city center, perfectly decorated, really big rooms, clean, accessible, many restaurants at walking distance.
Friendly staff.
Good restaurant, to be honest is really worth it.
Big common areas, bars, working areas.
In general a good option for travelling to Oran.

What to say, this hotel could be one of the best in Algeria if the room were cleaned (I found 2 hairs in the bed) I asked to change they did but not even a sorry sir. Like it’s normal to found hairs in a 5 stars hotel. Food options are limited. This is definitely not at mgalery standard. Too bad this hotel needs a massive refresh.

I had a truly disappointing experience at this hotel. I booked a one-week stay but needed to change my reservation dates. The hotel refused my request and kept £750, offering no flexibility or customer support.
During my stay, I was told that bringing drinks from outside was not allowed, and they confiscated my beverages without any prior notice. Additionally, I booked a half-board package that included dinner. However, I was not informed that the hotel had two restaurants. I ended up dining at the one not included in the package, and they charged me extra for the meal!
The rooms are far from appealing, with subpar facilities that fall short of any reasonable standard. Overall, this was an unacceptable experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The bathroom does not have water, only paper, Muslims need water for wodoa.

I stayed one night on the beach and 19th of September 24, overall the hotel was perfect compared to the hotels in Algeria, the most important thing I focused on Algeria is the cleanliness which I have no complaint.
The only concern is abut the payment and my hotel hole check in process, I booked through booking. Com and hen I arrived to the hotel I payed cash dz25000 for the night, after a week when I returned to Australia I received a call from the hotel but I told them I am sleeping which was a middle of the night, I checked my booking. Com account I found a message stating that I didn’t show up and fees may apply, I also checked my Accor account to find out if the booking points has been claimed as I supplied the receptionist with my account number but till now nothing appeared yet, I just called the hotel now and asked for the manger, a lady told me he will call you back, I am waiting now to find out what exactly happened.

Most of the time the service was excellent. It is an elegant and luxurious hotel in a colonial style. The location of the hotel is perfect. The breakfast is not very diverse. Great lobby bar, the bar in the courtyard is rather simple.

I reached the hotel at midnight, the security agent was very kind, he detected me from the hotel entrance and offered a nice parking place.
The check in and check out was very fast with a great welcoming.
The room very calm, no noise, room temp just perfect.
Breakfast was somewhat good.

This reason to why I can’t give this hotel a 5 star is that 1 out of our 3 rooms was very smelly from cigarettes smoke. Not very pleasant for a non smoking family. But after a few hours with open windows, it got better but still not gone.
The rooms: beds and pillow are fantastic! Had a great sleep. But few lamp stands/holders were broken. Even though the windows opens to a very noisy street, the room is quiet with closed windows.
The staff is very kind and helpful, but the receptionist veeeery slow, so instead of visiting Santa Cruz viewpoint, we were sitting in the reception waiting. That being said, a huge group had just arrived before us and we were walk-in clients.

I loved the place, gallery and the artistic works around. The hotel is beautiful and well made, variety between the old style and modern. The rooms are clean and cozy. The team is friendly and nice.
Some points I suggest for improvements:
Rooms: add hairdryers, I didn't have one in my room. And toilet faucets.
Food: breakfast is cool but I would suggest more variations to meet the 5 stars hotels expectations, for dinner I think it is missing a lot, for the price per person, you should either lower the price or have more variety of food, I ate mostly salads as I didn't find anything interesting and I found it extra expensive.
Prayer Qibla: it would be really helpful to have a picture for Qibla direction.
So far my number 1 hotel in Oran, keep it up!

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was a great experience. This is the type of hotel where you do not feel like checking out. The Hotel staff were amazing. Very kind and respectful. Lots of english speaking staff. Food was great, room service was amazing. My every request was met. Highly recommended.
