Vila Mare

Girl in reception was very friendly and helpful, we arrived very late and she was waiting, even sent a message to check up on us. Opened a bar before season start as it was an early May visit. Even if she wasn't there, parents/owners are staying overnight and are always willing to help. Good breakfast, clean and cosy rooms, great location.

We stayed at the beginning of the season (early May), and there were few people at the hotel. The open parking near the hotel is free. The hotel's location is quite convenient — right at the entrance to the town, with shops and cafes nearby, and a beautiful beach less than a 10-minute walk away.
The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable; the room was cleaned perfectly every day. There's a small pool and five sun loungers. The hotel offers only breakfast — eggs, sausages, cheese, fresh vegetables, olives, cereal, fresh homemade pastries, juice, coffee, tea, and fruit (we had apples and oranges).
For lunch and dinner, it's easy to find a nice place in town with a varied menu, or you can order delivery directly to the hotel.
The care and friendliness of the hotel owners deserve special mention — they were always available, recommended great beaches, cafes, and bars. We arrived late and checked out early, and they waited for us and even prepared an early breakfast.
We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Mare just before the start of the summer season.
The rooms were impeccably clean, the staff could not be more helpful and friendly and the beds were comfortable. Nothing was too much hassle for the staff, who even shared their recommendations for our stay in other parts of Albania.
Breakfast was included and was tasty and plentiful with some nice touches like peach jam made from the family’s peach trees and bread from the local bakery.
The pool was nice and clean with comfy sun beds — I think the beds are in the sun for most of the day — around 11:00-17:00 but I don’t know exactly as we spent most time at the beach.
The location was great, it’s about a 15/20 minute walk to the main centre where the beach you see on Instagram is — this was our favourite beach but it is different in season as you have to pay for beds etc.
The route into the centre of Ksamil is easy and there are a lot of highly rated bars and restaurants en route.
Hotel Mare is very close to Ksamil beach which was quiet when we went but it looks like a place that will be lively in the summer as there is a beach bar etc there.

Great hotel with nice staff members. They make sure you enjoy your time and have everything you need. Breakfast was delicious and the manager was always smiling and saying hi to guests. Definitely would stay at this hotel again in the future when visiting Ksamil.

We reserved for 4 nights at Mare 2 and they made us switch hotel to Mare 1 (That has the same owner). The pool had a strong bleach like smell. Breakfast wasn’t that good. On our last day, when we asked workers for towels, they said that this is a service that they no longer offer for us. There were no toothbrushes and toothpaste. They changed the towels regularly, but I wouldn’t recommend going there without personal hygiene products, because they didn’t offer conditioner, and body wash and the hair shampoo was very low quality too. It was 95€ for room for two persons, only breakfast included, no umbrellas or anything and after my experience, I find it overpriced for what they offer.

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Room 304, queen bed and bunk beds, large balcony with a slight view of the ocean, small but clean room, air conditioning, strong Wi-Fi. No problems with daily cleaning. Delicious breakfast, small pool, large parking lot. 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The owner and his daughter are very kind. This is a recommended hotel in Ksamil.

Price and quality of the hotel is wrong. We had a family room with a bunk bed for the children. The room was proper but the airco, quite necessary, stopped in the nights. One evening after coming back from the beach, no warm water available.
Missing were the small bed lights. The room had one ceiling light. Not nice for the children to sleep.
The breakfast is very disappointing. Scrambled egg was very poor. The sweet pastries were very dry and not tasty. The bread was awful old and dry. We had in other Albania hotels much better breakfasts.
Swimming pool is OK.

Lovely family run hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious, and tidy 5 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Very pleasant, helpful and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was also great, and I would recommend staying here.

I spent 3 nights at Hotel Mare when I was in Albania. I thought all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was very spacious which was great. Nice marble bathroom. The swimming pool was a decent size to cool down and there were some sun loungers available. The breakfast buffet had delicious Albanian food which I enjoyed each morning. Hotel is in Ksamil in a convenient location. There was no tea / coffee making facilities and there were no English language stations on the television. At the time I stayed there was major construction happening next door with a lot of noise (although I acknowledge this is not the fault of this hotel). Overall, an enjoyable stay and I would recommend it.

Super pleasant stay. Sara was incredibly nice and helpful. She helped us with transfers, gave tips on local activities, and was overall very pleasant to deal with. The owners/personnel were kind and polite. Great breakfast, clean rooms with balconies, a nice pool area, and short walking distances to get to the beach clubs and restaurants.
10/10 would recommend.

Lovely hotel with an amazing value for money ratio. Super nice family who runs it. Very clean. Good pool. Close to the beach. Circa 10 minutes walk to the centre. 3 minutes walk to the supermarkets. Plenty of free parking for hotel guests available.

Fantastic stay! Sara (I think her name is) and her brother are super friendly and helpful. I asked in advance for vegan options at the breakfast and she was super nice and had the kitchen make a yummy risotto, grilled vegetables and also bought soy milk for cereals / coffee.
They have a bar in the reception that I didn't try but I think they make cocktails, and they also have a fridge with soft drinks and beers.
The hotel is clean, comfortable sunbeds and a beautiful pool open until 10pm! They also let guests borrow towels to bring to the beach! My room had a balcony with pool view and the door had a sliding mosquito screen which is convenient. Only a 10 minute walk to the main beaches, bars and restaurants.

Wonderful hotel, services, breakfast, owners, staff are awseome, thank you so much for our great stay! Highly recommended!

Our experience here was just wonderful — we arrived VERY last minute after abandoning a terrible hotel experience in Sarandë two day early. Ashera (sp? ), the woman who owns the hotel, is doing such excellent work. The breakfast was outstanding, the coffee was the best we had in Ksamil, the rooms were clean and well-kept, the shower was hot (and needed), and the beds (and bedding) were the most comfortable we’ve been on in our travels in a long time (and that is one of the most important things we look for — we are so well-rested).
We didn’t get to use the pool because we were busy, but it looked beautiful. Ashera made sure we had everything we needed at any moment, including delaying cleaning up breakfast in case we wanted more and ensuring we had coffee to take even when we were leaving. When we come back to Ksamil for a future summer vacation, we will absolutely book here. Thank you all so much!

Only the best experience. Rooms are clean and cosy. Staff having a smiley faces during all day. Breakfast are being refreshed till the last minute, different option every day. You can also taste food from different cultures (Italian etc. ). Great location, easy to find with spaceous parking lot. Situated outside of the centre rush. Happy we had a chance to be here!

Nice familial hotel, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Room si nice and clean, but the view is really not beautiful.
Swimming pool is too small to enjoy.
Breakfast was very correct, depending on the day, you have more or less choice.
I recommend for one or two nights, not more.

Excellent venue — clean, comfortable and close to the beach. The young lady at the reception was extremely helpful and professional and went the extra mile to accommodate requests (e. G. Travelling back to my country). The whole staff was very friendly and professional — well-done!
