Scodrinon Hostel

Very good place that we got recommended by a local. I don't think there is a place as good! The rooftop gives you spectactular views of the surrounding mountains and parts of the city. It's very nice to have a drink with the sunset.
The owner is also very attentive to the safety and well-being of its residents and volunteers ;)

We stayed at the Scodrinon Hostel on the good advice of Elda from Animals Need Me and we were delighted. We were a group of 40 people and Rob the manager welcomed us very well. The interior is modern and very well decorated, everything is clean and well maintained. The view from the rooftop is great and the staff treated us very well even though we were sometimes noisy and a bit messy. Thanks for everything, if I ever come back to Shkoder I will gladly come back!

Had a great time at Scodrinon Hostel. Very helpful organising any activities (hiking, swimming, bikes, luggage storage). Even in a large dorm room bed setup is private and clean, bathrooms always stocked, good communal areas and cheap prices! Highly recommend.

This turned out to be an excellent choice for my stay in Shkoder. The place is very well set up with excellent facilities and served an excellent drip coffee with a complimentary breakfast. A special shout out to the Manager Rob who found me a bed at short notice, arranged my bus to Theth and kindly agreed to store my bag while I went hiking. Privacy curtains in my room would have made this a truly well earned 4 star experience. The airy n spacious communal space on the top floor has the best views.

Very nice hostel with a rooftop. Good location at the end of the walking street.
I especially loved the ice cube machine because it was super hot and I love cold drinks.
I stayed in the female dorm which was nice. It has a locker with key for every bed!
The bigger mixed dorm also looked nice with curtains.
Just beware that it’s loud. I stayed there 2 nights and people were still loud in the night. I didn’t mind because I had earplugs.

Such a wonderful place! Clean, comfortable, and an amazing rooftop view. Rob is an excellent host and manager, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. If you want to get to know the lovely city of Shkoder, this is the perfect hostel.

The manager Rob is a very nice guy! He even brought us free breakfast and homemade wine :) The hostel itself is super beautiful and clean, and the terrace is very spacious and with the perfect view over the city.

From location, staff, dorms and mattress: everything was superb — breakfast was included which amazes me even more bc you get really good quality for the low budget price one pays. Rooftop is nice to chill as well. Another advantage: maybe you are going to meet the hostel-cat (named 'garbage') on the rooftop!

I just had the best stay here! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel so welcome and were always around to help with anything I needed. The rooms were super clean and cozy, and I loved the atmosphere in the common areas. Plus, the location couldn't be better, right in the heart of everything. Loved my stay at Scodrinon Hostel! Appreciate the welcoming vibe and sense of community established by Rob and Kyla. Made some wonderful connections here and would love to return! The rooftop view is fantastic! Breakfast includes homemade apple jam! The place is always clean and is well run.

I've stayed at many hostels, but this one in Shkoder, Albania, is my favorite! The included breakfast is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is clean, safe, and well-managed. Located right in the heart of the city, there’s plenty to do nearby. If you're traveling through Albania, this is the perfect spot to unwind, I highly recommend it!

Best hostel I have ever stayed. Comfortable beds and there’s big lockers for bags. And you can easily book the transfer to hikes. At evening times there’s very social vibes. The staff members are very helpful. As a femal solo traveler felt very safe. Female dorm has great view to mountains. Breakfast are simple but delicious. Wine and rakia there is amazing and it comes from owners. Amazing, thanks to everyone that I spend my time with. Will come back next summer!

The location and amenities of this hostel are great, as well as the views from the rooftop terrace. I loved the little pod-like structure of the beds, which allowed for a lot of privacy. They were quite spacious as well. The only reason my review is three stars is because of the manager, Rob. At first he was appeared very kind and helpful. But when I was there I saw another side of him when he, in my opinion, crossed some boundaries with other female guests. It made me feel unsafe in the hostel and I was glad to be leaving the next day.

Great hostel in a central but quiet area. I stayed for 5 nights in a shared room with 18 beds, but it felt spacious and private thanks to the smart design. The top-floor terrace offers a stunning view, and the staff and volunteers were super friendly! Highly recommend, and I hope to return in the future!

Great hostel with a lovely staff! The rooms are very cozy, you have curtains, light and power on every single bed. Also the toilets are always clean. I love the rooftop’s vibe for work and chill :) very safe for solo women.

Ended up staying for almost 2 weeks even though we were planning only few days.
Place is awesome, great staff, chill area to hang out and nice breakfast. Everything clean and perfect atmosphere for getting to know the town or people.
Big shout out to the owner Rob who can help you with staying hydrated with raki and knows how to balance being chill and strict. He just owns.

I've been traveling for years and this hostel is in the top 3 of my favorites in the world. Spacious rooms, super clean facilities, super friendly staff, delicious breakfast and the best possible location. Perfect balance between socializing on the terrace and calm/silence in the rooms. Ideal for digital nomads. ♥️
