This was the most terrible experience I've had in a hotel in Asia, and I've been living here for 4 years. If I could give a 'no star' rating I would. Shortly after we arrived at the hotel, the air con broke in our room. We told the staff, however they didn't seem to know what to do, so told us to wait for their shift change and deal with the next receptionist. We decided to leave for dinner and hope we could resolve the issue when we got back. (Note — it was 30+ degrees outside so we were pretty insistent on working air con). As we were leaving, a large cockroach skittered into our room and we had to get it out as the staff laughed. This was after already encountering a small cockroach in the bathroom, which we thought may have been a one-time deal. When we came back from dinner, the air con was still broken and the front desk staff had not been informed of the issue. Again, we had to go through trying to explain the issue again I the staff, and they began making excuses and telling us it was fine and we could sleep in the room we tried asking for another room, or a temporary air con unit in the room but they refused and began to become argumentative. While this was happening, we encountered ANOTHER large cockroach that ran under our bed and 2 small ones ON the bed. At this point it was late (10:30pm) and we did not want to stay in this room anymore so we told them we were going to look for a new hotel.

I am in the suite with ocean view. The view is excellent, location is good, staff is nice, unbeatable price.
