Love this pub, traditional but modern. Lots of different rooms, great food offering just need a more interesting range of beers.

Really good beer selection including Cask Ales. Food is good as well, but can get a bit loud. Great local atmosphere and friendly service.

Just spent a night in this lovely hotel (first time visit). Excellent location 5 min walk into york, parking on site, clean rooms and restaurant, bed very comforatble. Staff made you feel welcome especially Gemma on reception but very friendly overall. Great breakfast choice also.

Nice rooms and free daily continental breakfast or hot breakfast and English "Fry" available for a fee. Great location right outside the old walled city and the magnificent York Minster Cathedral.

An absolute gem of a pub, well worth the few minutes walk from the Minster. The ales and gin on offer are great and I love that it is dog friendly. I will definitely be back!

Excellent little hotel, ideally positioned with free parking. Staff very friendly, clean room. Breakfast — cooked to order plus continental buffet — was wonderful with great service. Only complaint is that the toilet seats are rectangular, not bum-shaped :-) No food apart from breakfast but this is York with umpteen pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. If we stay in York again, this will be the hotel for us.

Had a lovely overnight stay with a good breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful especially after being allocated in a room 3 floors up which they changed immediately for a lower ground floor room.

A great place to stay and the staff are so welcoming. Bedrooms are spotless I highly recommend the Minster hotel.

Once again an excellent stay. This was our third visit to the hotel in the last six months. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is a good selection of pastries cereals up to the full English, (no vegetarian option for sausages in the breakfast) followed by the rounds of toast and marmalade. Room was comfortable and newly decorated.

Just got back from a four day stay at the Minster Hotel, York. Lovely friendly staff, great breakfast and a room with a four poster bed. The Hotel is in a fantastic location just minutes from York Minster and the centre of town. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Warm welcome, great location only a short walk to the centre of York with the beautiful Minster an Jorvik centre. Secure gated car parking on site for a small charge. Thoroughly recommend.

Good hotel for the money with very good selection for breakfast. Staff were very freindly and helpful. Traffic could be a bit noisy if in one of the front rooms.

Very comfy room. Great bathroom. Room 15 is on the drive leading to the car park so we a bit noisy.

What a lovely week end the hotel minister was beautiful. The staff were so polite and the room was also beautiful. The room was on the ground floor recently refurbished for disabled persons. It was like home from home. The breakfast was excellent my hubby had the full monty and I had porridge made with fresh cream OMG what a choice of breakfast full cooked breakfast or you could have the cold buffet fruit, yogurt, cereal, choice of cheeses everything was lovely. The Minister Hotel is about 10min walk from the city it was lovely. All I can say is if you are wanting to park your car up for the weekend and walk then this is the best way to do it xxx we have just booked for the new year cant wait x Please excuse my hubby in some of these photos he was a bit giddy xxx.

Despite the type of building, if you could incorporate an elevator or forklifts for the time of the suitcases. It's complicated to move on those stairs with lumps.

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Comfortable clean rooms, well trained friendly staff, great breakfast. Hotel has its own car park which is an added bonus and all for a fair price. We take short breaks about four times a year and never go anywhere else.

This hotel has so much character because of the building it is in. The staff is really friendly, and always greeted us. There were a few downsides, though: the mattress and pillow were not very comfortable, and our room was facing the street so it was really loud all night. Also, we couldn't control the heat very much so it was hot in the main room and freezing in the bathroom. I only got breakfast one day, and it wasn't bad, but not anything special. Despite all of this, the location is excellent and I would consider staying here again if we had a room that wasn't on the street.

Lovely, huge rooms and great staff. I loved the walk in shower and free products. We stayed in a cold November but the rooms were very cosy. We did not have breakfast but it smelled very nice.

Good place to stay with a large parking lot. Almost have a b&b feel. Very close to the train station and the old city center.

Glad we’ve found this little place… after leaving on bootham for years finally a decent pub off the beaten track with nice staff, good pizza, a gin menu and dog friendly it’s been redone like an old pub but with a touch of modern, just perfect just wish we knew it was there before… our new local for sure.

Really nice hotel. Parking through an arch which was gated. We didn't have a meal here. Breakfast was good. Room was en suite and clean. We had a room at the front which was a bit noisy. We are good sleepers though so didn't bother us. This hotel is not far from the cathedral. Would definitely go back.

3 star rated hotel. Recently redecorated. Has parking at the rear. We struggled to find a sub £200 room then realised it was bank holiday. This was what we came up with. We went with the least expensive room and it's a reasonable size with on suite that's been fine for the budget. Breakfast was generous with buffet plus table service cooked breakfast with a good choice of options. Has a bar area though I haven't seen it open… I assume you just ask for service. The staff are all friendly and have been very welcoming without being intrusive which is ideal. I'm happy with my stay and would recommend it. If you judge it against 5 star accommodation then you may feel harsher but I doubt you'd find better for the price. Again I'd recommend the hotel.

Spent New Years Eve having pre-panto pizza with the folks then after sending the oldies home went back to see in the New Year. Staff are so friendly and helpful and pizzas and sharing platters scrummy. Selection of ales (for him) and wine (for me) top notch. Definitely has become our place to go. Well done guys, keep up the good work.

Top ale, top pizza. A lovely warm welcome from the staff. The decor is warm and welcoming and has that traditional feel about it. There is a good selection of real ales, lagers, wine, coffee etc. Well worth the visit. Just found my new local.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in November 2016 and it was perfect! The rooms were gorgeous and cosy and it was all very clean, not to mention the delicious complementary cakes and breakfast! Hoping to return again soon!

A really marvellous B&B accommodation is excellent as well as the food. The only down side was the hot water for the bathroom sink was not hot. Other than that you will not find anything to complain about. Thank you once again.

We were in York for a week, what a pity we found this wonderful establishment on the last day. Next time we're in York, it will be the only place we eat, it rises far above anywhere else we tried. We were honestly disappointed with food in York until we found the Coach House Hotel.

Myself & my husband have stayed at the coach house on many occasions. We are always given a very warm welcome and the staff are all very friendly. We stayed over christmas & the new year again and had a wonderful time. The owner has always been an excellent host and we always enjoy reading the many cards and notes of thanks each visit. We have already booked to go back in the spring. Excellent.
