Very close to the town centre, Nice clean rooms, very friendly staff and clean B&B.

Very central. Easy walking to everywhere. Although on a busy street, very quiet overnight.

Staff and rooms were fantastic, very clean and close to all amenities. Only tiny issue was no vegetarian option for the cooked breakfast, but this could be easily rectified. Parter had the full English and he said this was very good.

We travelled to York in the beginning of July and were fortunate enough to get accommodation at the Georgian House B & B. We cannot compliment them enough. We had a really lovely comfortable room. The breakfast was a full English. You also had a choice of yogurt, cereal or if you couldn't face a full English you could opt for scrambled eggs on toast. The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. We would definitely go back if we are ever in York again. Heather M South Africa.

Comfortable family room which is clean and tidy. Near to the town centre and easy walk to all the local sights and attractions. Unfortunately no parking due to building work but lots of parking nearby.

The hotel position is fantastic however customer service leaves a lot to be desired! Came down for breakfast morning 1 to witness one of the waiting-on staff get a public dressing down! Morning 2 came down to no table for 4 set up so attempted to move a chair to turn a table for 2 into a table for 3 to be told in no uncertain terms in front of a full dining room that we were not allowed to do that and that we'd have to sit on separate tables! Even when two two-seater tables were available to push together this was not offered to us. The tea and coffee in the rooms was not replenished neither were the towels changed or beds made up! Expensive rooms for very poor service I'm afraid!

Friendly and helpful staff, even to the point of giving me a safety pin for my top, clean rooms and even though didnt have breakfast we will do when we stay again, even after checkout we were allowed to leave our bags while we continued enjoying the city, which was definately a bonus.

Great location and perfect price for a central guest house. Rooms are very nice, worth upgrading to the four poster room.

Lovely b&b however room 10 (twin room) was very drafty at night & the beds were very uncomfortable. The bathroom was modern and the shower was very powerful which was nice. Will likely be back.

Great little hotel that served my needs perfectly. Excellent location — all the main attractions within walking distance (even the station was only 10 minutes walk). Room was cosy and well equipped. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again!

Very nice accomodation, staff very friendly, didn't have breakfast as it's optional (£7 a head) so can't comment on that. Fabulous location and excellent price compared to other options nearby.

Very awful experience. I am really angry with them. Never go to this B&B. When I checked in, the reception is unwelcome and unfriendly, without smile or any welcome words. We have already purchased the breakfast but they said I didn't, we have argued for a while and they said ok I will have breakfast. The next day when I am having breakfast, I waited for some time and said we want to order the food, they let me wait because they have to serve the other table. After 10min when the other table get their food and they come to me and the attitude is unfriendly. Then just after the waitress wrote our meal and she immediately turned to another table behind us. I mean, if they are following an sequence that they can only serve one table after another table get food, why they don't do it to the table behind us? Then when we check out, we get the wrong code to the parking and called them to come help us, the staff with white hair answered and she said ok but nobody come. I called another time and another staff picked up the phone and come out to help. I rarely get angry with one person but this time I just cannot calm down.

What a wonderful place to stay. The room was great, comfortable with a nice bathroom. You can't beat the location an easy walk to everything you would want to see and do. The owner was friendly and helpful along with the staff. If you need a place to stay in York, stay here.

It was ok. Friendly enough staff. Nice enough room and good location. Slightly dubious cleanliness of the shower head and bathroom in general (4 poster bed room) It was a quirky historic place, just outside the city walls. Decent cooked breakfast.

Love staying here. It's warm and friendly and easy access to the minster and shops and great historical pubs and buildings❤

Great location, friendly staff and a nice room, if not too flashy. They were extra helpful with parking — allowing us to stay parked there on the day we checked out for an extra £6. Car park very small though so check for availability.

Best thing is location. Small rooms ok prices, nice shower, but just ordinary, nothing exceptional.

Stopped here last May and loved it, nice staff, amazing location and lovely rooms, booking this place again this year and probably every year for mine and the girlfriends anniversary.

Fantastic b&b clean and tidy staff very friendly would definitely recommend to family and friends going again in june.

We stayed for the weekend of 20/03/15. The first night other guests were constantly slamming the back door until 4am and this started again at 7am! The room, No 14, was situated so that the back door, was adjacent to the door of the room as was the door to the cellar which was permanently left open. We complained to Graham, the owner, who arrogantly dismissed our claims and basically said take it or leave it! As we were only there for one more night, and York was busy, we decided to stay. The room was in the process of being refurbished and had wires sticking out of the wall in the bathroom. There wasn't a wardrobe so they put us up a canvas camping one! The rest of the hotel was grubby and in need of updating. This is the problem, as York is so busy, the management can treat guests with disdain. When we left the following morning, to add insult to injury, they attempted to charge us £119 extra!

Amazing … just got back from staying last night 29th July we stayed in the new Mews accommodation. Absolutely gorgeous couldn't fault it … Really friendly staff every single one of them and Breakfast was Fabulous. Really great location 5 mins from Minster and lots of attractions will definitely be back that's for sure… we will be staying longer next time.
