We decided at last minute to have a night out in scarborough on a Saturday evening, managed to book in for the evening. Joanna is an excellent and most welcoming host, excellent and spotless rooms. The breakfasts are to die for, fills you up for the day, there was a new waitress taking our orders, who was lovely, she seemed slightly nervous and apologetic because she didn't see us enter the dinning room, but she need not be, she did a very good service and the dining room was full of guests. Looking forward to staying here again.

We stayed at the Cavendish Bed and Breakfast with our three grandsons. The staff were friendly and excellent as was the accommodation. Everyone enjoyed the variety of delicious food for breakfast. The grandsons enjoyed the guest room services. Great stay!

Nothing is too much trouble! Personal touches in the beautiful room are 1st class, breakfasts are 5Star!

Great B&B situated just a short walk from the beach front. Visited with friends for a last minute stay over on a Saturday evening and both en suite rooms where found to be spotless and functional with all the amenities you would want. We received a lovely welcome from Joanna on arriving who showed us to our rooms. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast menu, but we all plumped for the obligatory full English which was superb. Thank you Robert and Joanna. Great service. Recommended.

Absolutely brilliant hotel this is the 2nd time we have stayed here it's very clean & has lots of nice little touches now what can one say about the breakfast because this has to be one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.

Fabulous — consistently excellent.

Stayed in this nice B&B last some time ago but really enjoyed the Cavendish. The hosts (Jo and Robert) were first class with lots of helpful assistance for local sighseeing etc. The Cavensidh was spotless throughout and the breakfast was superb each morning.

Nice Clean room, free Wi-Fi, friendly staff and the lady owner was lovely. Home made fresh cakes on arrival, lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fantastic place. The food is excellent the rooms are spotless. Perfect location with only a few mins walk to the spa and town centre. Terrific value for money and would 100% recommend. We are back at Christmas and cannot wait … Gary.

Spacious and clean room with all the facilities you'd expect, including an electric power shower (very small cubicle, so not good if you're claustrophobic, but that can't be helped). Nice breakfast, great location (within easy walking distance of the town and seafront, but far enough away that it's quiet) and very friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend it.

Me and two friends have just got back from a 2 night break at this hotel and we were very happy with our stay. The service as soon as we arrived was friendly and informative; Rob gave us a tour and showed us to our room and made sure we were ok before leaving. We stayed in a triple en suite room and were happy with thr room as soon as we got in. It was extremely clean and tidy and well presented and we had everything we needed. Over the time we stayed there both Rob and Jo were very helpful and friendly and would ask about our day whenever they saw us. Both breakfast meals were brilliant with a wide range of choice to suite all needs. They were very knowledgeable of the area and we felt comfortable in asking them for advice on where to go and how to get places. The hotel is conveniently situated and I would definately stay there again and recommend to anyone looking for a hotel that offer grrat value for money. Thankyou again to Rob and Jo for our experience.

CHARGED FOR STAINING BED LINEN WITH MAKE UP! I stayed here with my teenage daughter at the end of March this year. It is a very small hotel on a pleasant road some distance from the centre. Our room was reasonably spacious, rather dark with old type furniture (as was the rest of the hotel that we saw) but it was okay. We had a decent nights sleep followed by a good breakfast, then we left. I did ask if we could collect a case later in the afternoon after our dance comp, but unfortunately that was not possible that day. Two days after we left the owner Joanna mailed me to advise there was staining to my daughter's bed linen, she presumed wine (I did have some rose but certainly did not spill any) linen was to be sent to a professional laundry and if stains did not come out they would have to charge me to replace. I did not see the mail for a few days as my 88 yr old mum had deteriorated and I had to stay with her (since gone into a care home), I sat down to reply to find a further mail had arrived 8 days after we left advising my daughter's ipad had been found in a drawer (I accidently left it in the main wardrobe unit) if I paid 9.70 for packaging and postage they would return it. I thanked Joanna and requested bank details to pay postage and enquired re the staining — I advised her the only thing it could be is a wash off instant tan product that my daughter uses for dancing, we and an awful lot of other dancers use it and never had a problem before.
