We stayed overnight on Saturday 2nd April. Fantastic room with huge bathroom. Had a tremendous meal on the Saturday night. Only downside was that the breakfast was very disappointing. Bacon had been threatened with heat, whereas, the sausage was deep fried. No toast brought with breakfast and no one about until we had eaten what we did of our breakfast to ask for toast. Perhaps something for the management to take on board.

Beautifully decorated, welcoming, excellent rooms and bathrooms. Outstanding food evening meal and breakfast. Staff friendly, helpfull and attentive Phil and Joe (i think). Would definitely return.

Visited here for Sunday lunch and, on the whole it was a very decent experience. A great location and interior, friendly and helpful staff and dog friendly in the lounge area. The food was also decently priced. When it arrived the food was extremely tasty. Ordered the beef striploin that came with two Yorkshire puddings and plenty of veg. The main point for feedback was the huge period of waiting between ordering and receiving our meal. It felt close to an hour and we therefore didn't have time for a dessert. The place wasn't that busy either when we ordered. This is one part that needs addressing to encourage repeat visits.

My wife and I booked a table this evening having read good reviews We definitely weren’t disappointed, the meals were amazing quality and excellent value for money, the staff made us feel really welcome If you get chance to visit you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent local public house with a very good restaurant within, on top of this rooms to boot, staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Disgusting service and will not be choosing to socialise or eat at this pub again after a staff member removed our plates and another member of staff stood behind them ready to literally slap the bill straight on the table without asking if we were ready for it or would like to see the dessert menu. We found the staff arrogant and rude and unfortunately spoilt our evening.

Highly recommended The Blue Bell, myself and my family stayed here prior to and after my wedding and every single member of staff were incredible and extremely helpful. They made our stay so welcome and went above and beyond including the day of wedding! This place is a little gem and we cannot wait to stay again ❣️fantastic rooms, great food and drink and just a warm atmosphere. Thank you so much!

First meal out with my very best friends and what a beautiful place to go. Food was amazing. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Look forward to my next visit. Worth the visit all the way from Nottinghamshire.

We had beef roasts dinners last Sunday and they were delicious. Such good value for money as well.
We would highly recommend and we will be back very soon

Just had Xmas dinner at the Blue Bell. Fantastic service from the initial booking until we had finished our meal.
We went from a booking of 10 people to a table of 5 due to COVID-19 restrictions, within the last week. Not only were the staff empathetic, but they gave our relatives a full refund.
We have booked in for Xmas 2021 — A table x 10!

We have just had our 1st take away fish and chips from the Bluebell and they were totally delicious. We also got the chicken goujan kids meal for our son and the goujans were gorgeous and made from chicken breast. The portion size was huge, so we have 1 very happy boy at home. We definitely highly recommend and we're already planning our take away treat for next Saturday night See you next Saturday Bluebell x.

First time here and definitely not the last, great sercevies great tasty food the pub itself is beautiful and very clean had a great experience.

Excellent presented Food, and attentive service by the staff made a pleasurable experience for the 4 generations of my family Sunday Lunch.

Had Sunday lunch today food was delicious the surroundings were lovely and the staff very attentive we were party of 10 including three children aged 7, 4 and three who ate every bit of their meal definitely would recommend thank you.

Can highly, highly recommend staying here. Fantastic, exceptionally clean accommodation, excellent meals (we stayed for evening meal and breakfast) and the most welcoming, friendly staff. Cannot praise you all enough… thank you.

Walk into a lovely welcoming staff. Lovely fresh looking decor. And also the rooms are great and spacious. Ps not had supper yet but smells great.

Excellent food, lovely staff, great background music, I would definitely return, the only negative and it’s through no fault of the restaurant is that on entering, the locals stare and continued to stare while stood at the bar, but we were seated straight away so didn’t last long but still made me feel uncomfortable.

Lovely pub with a very warm welcome. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful. The menu offers a good range of choices and the specials board similarly. I would highly recommend a visit and would be surprised if people were not delighted.

We stayred for 2 nights and the room was amazing, very clean, bed super comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming it was like coming home to old friends.
We were so impressed we have booked the same dates next year and hoping to book at Christmas.
Can't recommend high enough.

Beautiful, contemporary accommodation in tranquil village pub with bedrooms and meals of the highest quality. Great attention to detail and good room rates make me wonder why anyone would want to stay elsewhere. Simply the best.

Bloody marvellous, Went for lunch with my geourgeous other. What a treat. We were show to a well laid out dining area which was clean, tidy and the glasses were sparkling. Service was impeccable, tentative but not overburdoning. Starters were devine, of a good sized portion and very well presented. The main courses were wonderful presented with a little flair, vegetables were crisp, wonderfully flaversome and hearty, the Sunday Roast beef was just exceptional, slightly pink, and melted in the mouth. The chicken was succulent,, the caeser salad was perfect, with real anchovies! No room for deserts, this time around. Will be back! HINT. We arrived at 4.00pm. So chilled.

It appeared to be very relaxing with lovely scenery and set in a quiet village. I have yet to try the food which is supposedly Michelin rated hence the reason for the later update.

Excellent food, very friendly staff and a great looking place. It looks like they have spent a fortune on the place.

Just enjoyed a wonderful night here. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Bathroom even had a stand alone bath and separate shower! Choiceof breakfast was good and the food was well cooked. I had their full english and my wife the eggs royal. Both were extremely tasty. Well worth another visit.

Beaut food. I had herb crusted haddock fillet and my Gaz had ale battered haddock fillet. Very fresh, flavoursome food. Quick service with a smile.

Having been several times before we have visited again today to round off our holiday and what an amazing new menu and the pudding sharing board is an absolute must … Not for the faint hearted in terms of size but what a delightful choice and amazing flavours. The best we've had 10/10 keep up the good work chefs … We will be back very soon.

Stayed overnight. The room was excellent; beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The food, all 3 courses, was absolutely delicious, and the staff were really friendly.

Food superb, service excellent. Could do with a better choice of real ales; personal preference only, but over all highly recommended.

We walked into the Blue Bell early doors yesterday to be greeted by a warm cosy fire, we relaxed as we quaffed a glass of prosseco! and then the chicken and tarragon pie arrived with it’s golden brown crust with the crispest fluffiest chips and lovely vegetables! The chicken melted in your mouth all we can say is compliments to the chef and the lovely staff…!

Lovely decor friendly staff Sunday lunch very tasty but also on the very small side, a teaspoon size of mash each and a small dish of veg to share between 3 of us meaning 1 broccoli floret, 1 carrot and 3 green beans each gravy could do with been thicker as was nor like a jus. £11.95 for a Sunday lunch is what I'd normally expect to pay but not for a meal so small but as I say very tasty will go again however I think I'd probably order 2/3 courses.

Nice menu. Lovely surroundings and very comfortable. The food lacks little touches. No bread with chicken livers then I got some buttered white sliced! No sauce with salmon an route. They did make some on request. Good wine list.

Had stayed at another hotel nearby the night before, so it was nice to have a change of scenery at the blue bell. The staff were very welcoming and more than happy to go the extra mile for us when we had any questions. The room was well decorated, with a great bathroom and comfortable bedding. The downstairs bar and seating were all well decorated also — fantastic furniture and the evening atmosphere was comfortable with the cosy fireplaces and music playing. We also had a dinner meal at the restaurant, which had a newly launched menu on the day of our stay. The staff were enthusiastic about the food choices and we tried a dish from the starters, mains and also the dessert board so that we could try every dessert. Overall a fantastic stay with great hospitality and food. Will definitely keep the Blue Bell in mind for my next stay!

Place is good, however, as we were celebrating a 90th birthday and orders had not been seen it took my relatives some doing to sort out and had to wait for quite a while for the meal, which when we were served it was good.

A delightful discovery! A gem tucked away in the countryside. Part of a high quality local food and drink group, the decor, ambiance and food were of a consistently high standard and although this was my first visit… it most certainly will not be my last!

Just on the last of a three night stay here. The whole of the establishment is tastefully decorated throughout. We had a lovely spacious bedroom (super king bed) with large ensuite bathroom, with slipper bath and separate shower. Food has been excellent throughout our stay, we've chosen to eat here each night as well as enjoying the full English breakfast each morning. All the staff were very welcoming, attentive and helpful, we honestly couldn't fault anything here and would highly recommend.
Looking forward to our next stay here.

Always a good shoot meal here. The vegetavles are the only let down with them being microwaved served a bit too aldente but otherwise good food and drink The offers seem good mod week too.

We called in for lunch and had a delicious meal with drinks for a fantastic price. The menu was exceptional with a separate lunch specials which is what we went for. Lots of good beer and lager and wine best of all its still a pub and you can just walk in. Thoroughly recommended John.

Extremely friendly, helpful and smartly dressed staff. Beautiful accomodation and restaurant and the food is excellent. Wonderful little village ideally located to explore surrounding area. Highly recommend a stay here.

Probably the best fillet steak I have ever had! Cooked to absolute perfection! Really pleased with the whole meal, decoration and ambiance was lovely! If you're going, get the steak!

What a beautiful place this was to spend our 20th wedding anniversary. We arrived early to check in so enjoyed a bite to eat and a couple of drinks sat on the terrace in the beautiful sunshine. The room we stayed in was No 3 and boy it didn't disappoint, finished to a very high standard with one of the biggest beds I have ever seen, the bathroom was also very large in fact bigger than a room we had in a London hotel. Food was outstanding and Staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great staff, nice area but a bit out of the way. The food and service is certainly worth the trip out though. It has obviously had a lot of money out into the building and it looks great.

Very disappointed spent almost £60 pounds for a meal for 3. They wasn't hardly anything on the plates and while eating we was rudely stared at also pointed at which made us feel awfully uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend if you've got children either.

Had a meal for 8 including a steak and kidney pie with home chips. Meal was lovely. Since new ow ership the place has a much better look and feel. Service was good. Would come back again.
