Absolutely great place to go, the food is is fantastic would highly recommend for lynch and dinner. Plus the staff are brilliant.

Was nice meal friendly staff well looked after nice view looking from the back — with Junus Vale.

It was lovely in the bear in and food 10/10 and beyond presentation goes a long way in my eyes xx.

Although we arrived rather late for lunch. We were given a lovely warm welcome. Food was excellent, nice homely atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

We stopped on the way home as we were hungry and needed a rest. There was a friendly welcome and a lovely open fire. The meals were excellent and there was a good selection of beers. Thank you.

I stayed for one night in the motel. Lovely large bedroom and spacious en suite bathroom. Excellent tea and coffee facilities, plus an inclusive breakfast in the morning. Totally dog friendly. The location is stunning and the staff are very welcoming. Totally recommend this place. I'm sure I'll be back.

Pleasant comfortable room. Very enjoyable evening meal with drinks in the bar. Great service with a smile and even willing to provide full breakfast service half an hour early on a Sunday! Would recommend.

We have our social nights here for our bike group. Lovely people both behind the bar and in front of it.
We've all eaten here at one point or another and we've never had a bad meal, in fact every meal we've had has been lovely. I thoroughly recommend the Eaton Mess.

Stayed at the Bear Inn for three nights, very friendly and helpful staff, food was excellent, rooms very comfy and views stunning would stay again.

The crowd was very friendly, drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were nice.

My Mother and myself arrived at the Bear inn at Burwash in E Sussex at approx 2-00 on Sunday! Parking was easy and on entering judging from the amount of people there the place is very popular. We asked at the bar if we needed to book a table but as luck would have it they were able to accommodate us. The dining room was light and airy with comfortable seating, white tablecloths and nice cutlery laid out. There was a carvary for those that wanted a traditional Sunday Roast, however we decided to have something from a menu which was quite varied but didn't run to many pages! We both had Sirloin Steak with peppercorn sauce fries vine cherry tomatoes garden peas and onion rings! We only went for the main course, which is just as well because they didn't skimp on the portions. The service was good, and we didn't have to wait long! We found it to be very reasonable on price with the bill for the two Steak dinners and two drinks costing less than £40. I would have no hesitation recommending the Bear to anyone!

Food was good, however the service was the slowest I have ever experienced. I had to ask for menus and after our plates to be taken away. Two young lads were the waiters and although polite didn't really grasp what they should be doing.

Visited here for a wedding, seemed like a nice pub. Big function room at back. The view over the valley from the beer garden at the back is amazing — look out for deer.

Good rooms 55 notes. Beautiful views. Great friendly staff. Good ales. Easy to find and get to. Can't fault it really maybe better Wi-Fi? Right off for a pint.

Visited the Bear Inn tonight with friends and had a lovely meal in a friendly atmosphere with smiling and attentive staff. Excellent value for money and and delicious food. Sure to revisit.

Nice country feel pub, with a big open log fire, friendly staff and locals. Good food, and good value. Kid and dog friendly. Great views from the beer garden on a nice day.
