Very friendly staff. The rooms ok.

See view very happy, fresh bedding perfect stay.

Dirty, smelly, everything is old and broken, no Wi-Fi, even the buttons in the elevator are broken and tooo disgusting to touch, very rude staff as well. The best part of our stay is when we left. Stay away from this place at all costs, it’s not safe and it shouldn’t be open to public.

after travelling to Hastings for my uncles funeral from london me and my mum decided to book a hotel room last minute.
I messaged the hotel to say we would be checking in after 10pm as we was at the wake, we was told it was fine and the night staff would check us in.
When we arrived we was refused entry because I didn't have photo ID despite having the card I paid with and my booking ref. The man on reception had no compassion for us despite me explaining we were at a funeral all day and my mum is a cancer patient and 67 years of age! we was forced to sleep in my car. Disgraceful customer service and would never reccomend this hotel to anyone.

They were thoroughly helpful with the organisation of my husbands 40th birthday.

This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. 1. Walked in the room to find there was a big leak coming in from the window
2. As a result of that, there was mould around the window of our room.
3. At several intervals throughout the night, there were a group of idiots running around the hotel, slamming hotel doors and shouting — most notably at 10pm, midnight and 4am all of which woke me up. Pretty sure they were doing drugs.
4. It got to the point I would have honestly left during the night if I could, however my car was locked in the underground car park. Safe to say I will not be returning and will be asking for a refund.

This hotel isn't even worth 1 star, we had a family wedding on the weekend and about 10 rooms had my family in them, every single one of us complained about the state of the rooms, so old and dated thick dust, wallpaper half ripped of the wall, mould in the bathroom had just been painted over, honestly the worst hotel I have ever ever stayed in, onr of the staff was extremely rude, on the Friday day we noticed homeless people going In the lift and they smelt, and on the friday everning we noticed sex workers going in and out when we were in the lobby, we asked the recepetion lady who they were and did they rent rooms out by the hour and she said no but it was clear what was going on, we wasn't going to stay here but every other hotel had no space, please DO NOT STAY HERE!

Seafront location! Also, the hotel has a spacious reception area with settees to have a good read! Easy access to your room is a bonus. Lovely restaurant. Fully recommended, will be booking again in the future.

Rooms are very out dated… we had the family room it was tatty the bathroom was disgusting. We also hired the green room for our sons 18th it was also very tatty and not clean… it’s not cheap and we was told the wrong prices and charged another £100 the next morning. Such a shame as we have used the hotel and green room venue twice before and it was amazing sadly it has gone downhill.

Outdated rooms which were falling apart. Injured my foot on a loose bathroom tile. The room itself was small, smelt very damp. The electrics kept going off on the second night, with the manager getting very confrontational about what was being plugged in the room despite us saying there was nothing plugged in. Got stuck in the lift and on the final night the reception ceiling leaked with water dripping on us! overall made Fawlty towers look like a luxury resort! poor management, outdated rooms, faulty electrics and in general the hotel was just falling apart.

Now I know at less than £70 a night is average but this dump is way less than average it’s in the dark ages… dirty filthy bath room. Dirty curtains that look like that haven’t been washed EVER!

Great location, it is near the town and good value for Money. Would definitely stay there again. Just would like some more plugs in the room to charge mobile. Bathroom needs updating, its a bit rusty.

My G/F is covered in bites from the bed as found earwigs on the bed. Windows were filthy Breakfast was nice but small and over priced. Reception staff was abrupt on our arrival. We will never be going back. Was no satellite TV either just plain freeview not even HD freeview. Surley this a case for Trading Standards. Place needs modernizing.

Great location for Hastings, the beach and the Old Town. Rooms are clean but it is better if you can get one with a sea view and a bath. Staff are very anti smoking in there which is fine but don’t believe you when the smokers are next door and not you! Very reasonably priced and the Jali Indian restaurant next door is great. A good place to stay but heaven forbid you are placed in a room next to smokers as YOU will be blamed!

All I can say is I think the last time this hotel was cleaned was about 10 years ago! Absolutely awful! As soon as you walk in your met with the smell musky & dirty! On your way to the lift the walls are dirty and full of holes, once you enter the lift your greeted with paper makeshift numbers covered in sellotape. The hallways are dark dirty & the radiators are like something from the dark ages! Once we got to our room 202 the first thing that hit us was the smell again! The room had obviously not been decorated for many years! With orange & blue walls covered in holes & dirt. I ran my finger over the top of the TV & radiator which resulted in a inch of dust on my finger! The carpet was covered in bits of wood and other bits as well as someone’s old worn stocking! On entering the bathroom we were greeted with poo on the toilet seat! Black mould in the sink and the plug standing upside down on the side so you had to drop it into the hole! The bath was filthy all the enamel was worn off! The taps were rusty! The had left a plastic bath mat over the bath that looked about 20 years old! The floor was ripped! On asking the one member of staff in the hotel she had the poo removed and room hoovered but it was very badly done! Needless to say we spent the evening out returning late deciding to just sleep and run in the morning. On pulling back the covers to get into bed we were greeted with a black bug!

Stayed here on may 5th and 6th 2018 and very much enjoyed my nights stay here very much staff friendly and helpful had a very clean seafront room with wonderful views room was brilliant for me comfortable beds good bathroom etc chairs in room tea coffee in room which is great breakfast was brilliant OK for me will stay again thanks chatsworth hotel.

When I first checked in I expected them to ask how many hours I needed the room for! Indian restaurants attached is the best thing about the place.

Only used the basement suite for a party but it was good, other than having to go outside for phone signal.

Good location. Nice room. Close to the town and The Azur in St Leonards where I was having my wedding.

Staff unhelpful. Room basic but ok.

Little dilapidated. Room key stopped working after one night, we was unable to enter the hotel or our own room with it. Front fell off a draw and my girlfriend cut her hand on another. The most worrying and dangerous thing was the supplied hairdryer in our room was clearly not safe and was sparking and buzzing. It not a bad location but I'd rather pay a little more for a less troublesome time. No accident book on site either apparently, and the bedding wasn't changed.

Fantastic location, friendly staff but my first-floor single room had paper-thin walls and noisy neighbours, disrupting my sleep. Definite 5* without them.

Think the room had been recently refurbished but still no sockets next to the bed means you need to manage your phone and iPad charging to minimise getting out of bed too often. Good value budget hotel in a great location.

Nice room. Sea view and affordable price…

Room good size but painted very funny dark blue and orange and was very much in need of refurbishment. Bed comfortable but very small, less than a standard double I would say. Staff friendly and polite. Bathroom very old and tiny. Bath and shower both seen better days and didn't fancy using them as looked very grubby. Worst thing was the window of room was broken and didn't shut fully. Was a very stormy night and wind whistled in all night making it almost impossible to sleep. Maybe other rooms are better but ours wasn't great. Oh yeah, no batteries in TV remote either.

Stayed in a single room. No105 now then I'm use to sleeping in a camper van or truck. Loads of hot water available tea n coffee and nice TV. Hairdryer I'm baldThe hotel needs a refurbish the windows in this room let all the cold in and you here street noise I'm use to sleeping with a fridge running and the st. Noise woke me a few times didn't use the bar I'm T Total it is well placed plenty of eating next door and hundreds with in walking distance underground parking at £2 for 24hrs literally 100yds away only met the receptionist she was pleasant but for the price I was happy.

Very run to the ground hotel. Bathroom is in need of completed refurbishment due to heavy mold and limescale as think as. Out front your welcomed by the local drunks that sit a seating block right by front door. Meals are provided by joint Indian restaurant part of same building. You get what you pay for.

We arrived at the hotel feeling very apprehensive after reading the reviews, but I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. There are a few issues, such as the enamel needs replacing on the bath, and a tile loose in the bathroom but on the whole it was a decent stay (we were there for 4 nights). The chap in the restaurant made us feel very welcome, reserving us a decent table every morning and giving us a discount on our breakfast. It's a typical seaside hotel, but certainly not the worse place I've stayed.

Stayed over night to see Boyzone on the pier, check in was fine, when got to our room vy disappointed in the tried decor, dirty Windows, dirty skirting boards, dirty curtains, really grubby all round! The bed was awful, so soft & uncomfortable! Creeky floor from the lift to our room & in our room. Breakfast was ok, but we've had a lot better. Not many staff around, only 1 guy for check in & 1 at breakfast. My husband also said morning to the housekeeping lady & she ignored him! This should not reflect on the price! Would not recommend!

This place has no parking and is in a poor state of repair.

Beautiful sea views but banging doors, freezing cold shower and nobody on reception to point us in the direction of breakfast. Tired decor but I believe that is reflected in price.

A nice hotel that is getting a bit tired but good service. Needs some new tiles. No Wi-Fi which is a major loss.

Lovely friendly hotel on the sea front. Very clean. Its basic but this is the 6th year we have stayed if it wasnt very good we would not have come back.

Spent a few days there nice place good view of sea and the night life is something else the shelter outside was busy first it was an old man and his dog sleeping rough he looked so I'll the dog was only small but all it was doing was humping the poor fella then there was this couple she was red hot I wish I had of taking a photo of them humping then they went on the beach to finish off and then the kids three of them drinking and smoking all this was around 3am.

The green room was a amazing club.

Lady at the deck very nice gave us a lovely clean room with sea views from two windows on the 3rd floor that had a lift. Big bath and coffee & tea & kettle also a hairdryer. Hotel could all do with a update but the prices are good for a enjoyable stay. For Just myself and husband.

The room hasn't been hovered in months and the bath was so filthy that we couldn't use it so avoid this hotel.

Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Room was clean and warm with a beautiful sea view for £34! Rooms do need modernising, but they do have modern HD Samsung TVs with HDMI sockets. It's budget accomodation and perhaps not the soundproofed of hotels, but it's location and it's staff are second to none. Would far rather stay here than the local travelodge!

Horrid hotel hadant been updated since looked like the 70, s t. V very bad reception, toilet would not flush, very noisy could hear everything inside the hotel and outside. Very disapointed.

Worst hotel I've ever seen. I couldn't shut an eye all night, the bathroom makes you think twice before using it and in the morning I had a back pain for all the £59 we paid. The nice staff does not cover these problems.

You certainly get what you pay for. The room was £55.00 which was a good price, on the other hand I will pay another £15 and get a better hotel. The staff were polite and welcoming, the room was very tired with damp areas around the windows, there was a double glazed window SCREWED shut. The beds are old and cheap. The main problem we found was the fact the room door didn't shut tight, this men't that we could hear everything in the communal hallway as if they were in the room. The bathroom hasn't been up dated since the mid 80's for the money, it is ideal for contractors and business use. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you were staying for holiday purposes or a family break.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and will store luggage on your departure day. Indian restaurant is fantastic and they will serve to your room. Doors are loud if you allow them to close. Room was a little dull with peeling wallpaper and limescale in the bathroom. Room was very cosy and besides the bad points it was a sea view with many great bars/restaurants close by. I did enjoy the stay.

1 widow sealed the other not able to close, (traffic noise. ) green marks in bath from dripping shower, curtain hanging down, windows dirty, tiles coming up from floor in bathroom. TV very poor reception. Fire door slamming in corridor no dampers keeps you awake.
