Lovely catch up with my best friend food was lovely and very quickly delivered. Sat outside weather was gorgeous. Staff were very efficient and friendly 😃

Great location but TERRIBLE service from the waiting staff! Do not waste your money! It was a bad start when the waiter managed to drop the plastic pint glass of beer on the table that then went all over my top and shorts. Accidents happen and there was an apology but I did not enjoy spending the rest of the day stinking of lager. Obviously the drink was replaced and to be fair, our food was fine. That was the highlight. There were plenty of staff stood around having a good chat at the bar inside, clearly had no interested in asking if we wanted another round. We wondered how you make money as a business when u don't actively sell things. However, the staff knew what they needed to do keep those KPIs up! My friend figured the only way to pay our bill was to go to the waiters at the bar. He was then presented with not only the full cost of the drink I was still wearing, but also a full service charge!
After some debate with the staff on how "accidents happen" he knew that the concept of "good customer service" was well beyond the staff. So in the name of being able to enjoy our day elsewhere, they settled on removing the service charge and a 15% discount. Don't waste ur time going there everyone. Having done my time as a waitress in the past, it wasn't even a case of the staff being run of their feet. By far more interested in chatting at the bar than serving the paying customers!

Loved the atmosphere by West Beach. Super service.

Came here after 360i for brunch, I found it to be very dirty. The seats had not been cleaned in a long time. Crumbs, stains human hair on the seating. Table was dirty and sticky and the windows needed a much needed clean.
Very disappointed as the hygiene should be spot on especially in the current times of covid.

Good food and really great staff too, highly recommended.

I ordered Lobster and bacon caeser salad. Had to ask for a dressing and no Parmesan in sight… but enjoyed it.
Glenn has breadcrumb fish and chips. A bit overcooked if we are honest but still enjoyable.
Wine… cost £27 … yet to buy in a supermarket is £7.99 … but if a high “ mark up” if you ask me?

Brilliant service and asked about allergies when I ordered due to nuts being used. Top service and professional care 100% recommended.

Poor value for money and food disgusting, fish that wasn't cooked properly and soggy chips. Certainly won't be going there again.

Starters was bland, mains roast beef, was cold, sent back, fresh plate brought out. A third of a carrot does not constitute vegetables. Unappetising.
So to pudding, rhubarb cobbler with ice cream. Pot was lovely and hot, but sadly pie was cold all 4 dishes left. Very disappointing food. However front of house staff were quite sweet and very apologetic.

Cheap and on the sea front with polite and helpful staff… but not for me so I stayed somewhere else and got a refund. It's run down and shabby and I understand things wear out but, there's no mattress or pillow protectors and dirty carpets and the standard room I was shown had blood stained pillows that look like someone was murdered in there, the windows didn't close or lock, the thin curtains were hanging off the rails so you couldn't close them so good luck sleeping once the sun and seagulls were up. The easy access room was better but still not for me.

In desperate need of a dame good clean (Take a look at the dust on shower runner, vent, behind wall lights it carries on. ) Needs the plaster sorting. Replace the rusty curtain poles, I cant discribe the windows. Shower gel smells of disinfectant. Being positive: — the staff were very nice, friendly, helpful and the complementary hand soap was lovely.

Room 102 is the best in the house! You can make your own food and lie in bed looking at the English Channel and the old remains of Brighton Pier. The staff are quality, friendly, and versatile. I give the West Beach Hotel 10 stars not 5!

Rooms are fantastic for the price. Although when we arrived we were first given the wrong room and then keys to a room that someone was staying in. We also found the £150 deposit taking several days to return if you paid by card a sting in the tail.

Wonderful location, very helpful people, always attentive to your needs. The best cooker ever.

A slightly cheaper hotel for Brighton But In need of maintenance. Uncomfortable bed. Far from luxury. Not good value for money.

Dirty as a rathole. Heating was broken in my room. Staff is nice though.

Good points. Beach front with stunning views, clean, spacious room, reception staff pleasant. Not so good… Very noisy from main road, hard to sleep, take earplugs! Nice walk in closet but not many coat hangers and what looked like a wardrobe was actually a fridge and microwave… And sink etc, nice. Curtains not dark enough, needs a dressing table and full length mirror in room and maybe a clock, TV is very small. We had very noisy people above us, hardly slept first night, floors are laminate too… Complained on 2nd night. Slippy bathroom floor and shower not very powerful. View best part.

Stairs! So many stairs. Even for rooms on the ground floor! Not particularly wheelchair friendly but the staff are amazing.

Room was okay… me my partner and 4 year old daughter in one room was quite a squeeze. But they did supply a child's bed free of charge. And as it was only for one night it was fine. But for any longer it wouldn't be ideal. Especialy in the summer. A plus in the room was a kitchen behind cupboard doors which contained a microwave. Plates bowls knives and forks and spoons. With a sink unit. And underneath was a fridge with very small freezer. I was impressed with this. Plenty of storage for clothes and stuff and bathroom was very nice. No bath but good shower. Not an amazing view. But considering the hotel is on a side lane I was happy to atleast see some nightlife and a small part of the peer. Overall our one night stay was more than okay.

2 star Hotel in every way. Nice enough for a few nights. Great location if you want a good base for what Brighton has to offer. Very well priced but I assume that was due to time off year. No issue with noise and even had a sea view even though one wasn't requested. Rather dated in places and a minor refurbishment wouldn't go amiss.

We went on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. What could have been nicer… beautiful view and lovely food!
The Sunday roasts were amazing! My husband had the roast beef which was tender and flavoursome and I went for the greedy pork belly roast, which was fantastic. What was also unusual was that all the veg was particularly good. The parsnips were perfectly cooked and a little bit caramelised, which was gorgeous. The roast spuds were crunchy and tasty and the kale, which isnt usually a favourite of mine, was just lovely. Lastly, the gravy was superb, dark and glossy :)
All washed down with a couple of mojitos… perfect!

Lots of things where broken in the room. Light bulbs out, window catch unhinged. The windows where so thin you could hear every thing. Didn't sleep well at all due to noise. Elevator felt like it was going to break ever time you used it. No welcome pack or local guild. The restaurant attached didn't speak a word of English. Do found it to hard to even book a table. Would go here again.

Had a sea view but was very cold. Windows did not shut properly and the heating did not seem to come on until quite late in the morning. Otherwise good value for money — just bring a few extra layers if not staying in the summer.

Visited for Sunday roast as a group of 13 including 7 young children. We often eat out on a Sunday and I can honestly say this is one of the best places for a roast we have been to! Plenty of food, great quality and value for money. Service is great. Lovely setting with amazing views of the sea, even in winter. We will be back %

This is a pretty standard hotel for the area. Rooms are dated. The heating didn't work in the room. My friend was really cold in the room, particularly as we went in the winter. Although that was just our room. It does seem like a bit of a cash cow. Corridors are dated. Carpets are dated. I'm sure it's seen better days. It has got parking right next door, 15 pounds for 24 hours which is convenient! Not the usual long walk from car parks to hotels! Overall, if you've come to see Brighton you won't be in the room much! If you want to go clubbing, this hotel is a bit far from the new pier where everything seemed to be going on. Although walkabout and Yates is a short walk from this place. Definitely a solid 2 stars.

Nice place to stay in a reasonable price. And the Brighton Beach is right across the road. Easy access to local restaurants and shops. Enjoyed my time staying.

I was ready to give a good review. The Hotel is abit shabby, the staff during our staff were very helpful. Trouble was I left my charger behind. Rang the hotel, they confirmed they had it and assured they would send it to me. That was September … still waiting. I did ring again, a young chap assured me he would send it on. Then hung up. Not sure how he was going to do that, had no idea who I was or where I lived. I'll buy another charger. But I wouldn't recommend — simply because of their cynical attitude towards customer service — what a shame.

Great view! good location! Bit sad for shutting down heaters at night. For large rooms it could get pretty cold! …

At the check-in we had to deposit a big amount (GBP 150) for any damage — never had something like this before. Well, we were lucky with our room in one of the upper floors. The way to the room was like a maze but the staff explained it well how to get there. The room seemed to be newly renovated as everything worked fine and was clean. The water pressure is like zero and the water temprature in the shower changes all the time but eventually it worked to shower properly with a little bit of patience.

The location was literally a two minute walk from Maggie Maes where we didn't our evening. The hotel staff were polite, happy yo accommodate our every request — including extra pillows!

Staff were pleasant. Rooms were basic but clean. Main road was noisy.

The new restaurant design is much better and the menu delicious! I ate last Friday a "Dirty Burger" which came with fries and spicy coleslaw, it was very good! Service was also attentive and friendly, especially the Spanish speaking waitress! We are really impressed by the new place (I think it was sterile before) and definately we'll be back again.

Entering the hotel it looked a bit run down but worry not! Room was spacious and toilet is large and clean. One star less as floor was squeaky and you could hear the people upstairs.

The room was not clean when we got there and the pillows are very small and uncomfortable. Needed about four of them to finally fall asleep. The view is nice and the staff will do anything to make you feel more comfortable.

Pretty nice rooms with sea view. Quite limited sockets but we managed. There is an elevator but on the floor I was in, there are a few more steps which was weird. The place is quite historic but is in a good condition. The place is just across the road from British Airways i360

Great hotel, Great price! We had a triple room with a view of the sea. The room was clean and had a great shower with plenty of storage space. As we were in the superior room we had a microwave, fridge amd kettle with plates, cups etc. All perfect facilities for us to make hot chocolates before bed. Only suggestion is that there was only 1 mirror (in the bathroom) and we felt it would have been useful to have another in the bed area. They only initial give you 1 pillow however, if you just ask at reception they're happy to give you more and the lift only goes up to the third floor (4 in total) and has a bit of a jolt when leaving the ground floor — so bend your knees! All in all great stay, lovely staff, perfect location.

The hotel overall is more than decent, although the photos used in its profiles (I booked through Expedia) create a slightly better image of reality (only the sea side façade has been renovated). Also my room was quite noisy being facing a street where there are dumpsters (emptied every morning around 5:00) and not having double glazing.

I actually got a room with a great view which was great. The food was good. Also where I was staying there was a wedding going on which was nice.

Jus to let you know I was a customer of yours yesterday and must say I was very dissapionted with your hotel I will be commenting in your hotel reviews the problems I had were I had a shower and all the water would not run down the drain I had to use the toilet walking threw pond of water throughout my stay also I tryed to switch on the TV and could not get to watch anything due to the signal being so poor also it was so cold in my room because of the draft coming in threw the Windows in there and the bed and duvet need changing they were so uncomfortable its unbelievable I am so fustrated that I did not receive the service I payed for normally I'm not one to complain but I just could not let this happen to another paying customer like myself and felt I have to inform yourself and your customers of my experience I don't want any sort pay back or anything jus a promise that you will solve these problems or start to address them before your start your next business day because I really do believe this stay of mine was way below standards even for a hotel which prides itself to be a non star hotel it was ridiculous it was a hostel more then a hotel.

Nice comfy beds, but when we did check in there were rubbish bags outside the lift door. That did not make it look good. Also the cafe that was attached to the hotel had a sign on it of repossession.

Good but some of the things on the bed wasn't really good but forget about it everything was good.

Very Clean from, tidy to. Fresh bathroom. Nice staff, reasonable price, room 201 a twin has stunning views of the sea.

It is what it is, a cheap hotel and a bed to sleep in. There were few thrills about the hotel but the location was okay. It was about a ten minute walk from the pier. I probably wouldn't stay again, a little extra would get a travel lodge located a little closer to the main attractions. I would say though the staff at west beach were nice and they did give the hotel a star in itself.

After reading the previous reviews for this hotel, I was rather worried. However, although the hotel is tired and in need of redecorating, it was clean and fine for our stay. It was also a reasonable price, expecially during pride weekend, where other hotels hike up their prices! Stayed for two nights, but only made it to one breakfast which was fine and generous with a choice of full English or continental. Both options included cereal and toast and the full English was cooked well (apart from the cremated sausage! ). This place would be stunning if it was done up, but then probably twice as much! The free parking was a god send during a very busy Brighton weekend.
