Fab stay. Rooms were bit dated. But staff were helpful and friendly. Amazing breakfast.

Great staff could not do enough for us. Room was very clean an pleasant. Would stay again without hesitation.

Haven't been here for a while but did go last week met up with a few old pissheads that I haven't seen for awhile good general banter plenty of Sport on the TV good atmosphere drinks are cheap locals are locals.

Stayed one night at The Beverly, check-in easy, large room, large bathroom, very clean. Lovely walk through the park into the city centre, very convenient location and free parking.

A hidden gem on cathedral road, the staff are lovely. The food is great and the prices reasonable. You should try this place.

The buy one get one free burger offer is very good! This is a nice pub with a range of beers (not many real ales though), and they have big screens for the sport.

Great friendly place to stay, foods good and fair priced. Rooms could do with a face lift looking a bit tired avoid room three if your more than five stone wet through as the shower is tiny.

Good clean rooms good service. Rooms are serviced every day. The free breakfast i's only a continental style and you have to pay for a full breakfast. Book early if you want to use this for the Cardiff flower show. I used to stay at the Cayo Arms which was a terrible place down the road which thankfully has now closed!

Very friendly and welcoming place, stayed the night it was very clean and cosy. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend friends and family, especially at a bargain price.

Fantastic traditional British pub with a small modernised hotel upstairs. The manageress is a fabulous and the staff are always accomodating. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stayed twice and would definitely recommend staff are welcoming an helpful, food is good n value for money. Had same room both visits small but cosy and clean n 10 minute walk to city centre. Love it!

Car park is small couldn't put my van in it. Had to park on the street 20 min walk away. Room was tiny. Bathroom is a joke had to stand in the room to brush my teeth and wash face. Shower too small struggled to wash top half of me then had to get out of shower to wash the rest of me as you can't bend down. You can hear the bloke the room above walking about at 4 in the morning and having a pee and flushing the toilet. No choice with breakfast if you pay for it. You just get brought a full English. That needs cooking for longer they could save a fortune on breakfast if you got a choice. I left half of mine as I don't like mushrooms tomatoes or hash browns. They say in the menu it's lavazza coffee but it's nescaffee instant you make yourself.

Stayed 14 Dec, a very warm welcome, clean and very helpful staff nothing was to much trouble would definitely stay again.

Good location. Very spacious, well equipped room. Good atmosphere. Good beers. Good food. Overall very good place to stay in Cardiff.

Our visit was meet by an odour of stale beer as we went to reception from the adjoining bar, we then presented out details told the guy on reception we had 2 nights booked do we pay the additional now, no he said in the morning will we be in the same room as they are 2 separate bookings, erm I think so was his response, the room was basic and shabby the beds wrote not comfortable so not a great night's sleep, then to be woken at 7:30am by work being carried out at the hotel with banging of some discription for 45mins, needless to say we left and did not stay another night, oh and the sign on the reception desk says ring bell for help there is no bell only wires of where a bell once was.

Very friendly staff, lovely sized rooms, enjoyed the continental breakfast, though there is a the option to upgrade to cooked breakfast. Very central location.

Nice and clean with great and friendly staff. Decently priced for the room with continental breakfast. Wifi not working as such but mobile signals work just fine. Only downside, they close at 11pm so if you are late checking in, you will not be allowed in. Parking also closes at 11.30pm. All for security reasons but does restrict if you wish to explore around.

The staff are friendly and the pub is very welcoming. The Wi-Fi doesn't connect very well but they have TVs and music which is very entertaining. The food is good and it is at a very affordable price and so it is a great place to get a quick and affordable meal.

What the hell has happened to this pub? Awfull food, awfull bar staff which has no clue what so ever of customer service! Never again!

Good location on the outskirts of Cardiff. We went easily fro here to Castle on Roman Fort, Caerphilly Castle and the Brecon Beacons national park. It's also a short walk to Cardiff Castle and the heart of Cardiff. The hotel itself is located in Cathedral road which is a very attractive Victorian street. Good was just OK.

The hotel seemed Ok, but the room we were given was smaller than a cupboard, the bed was fairly uncomfortable, and the door let straight to the hallway in which everyone had to walk past to get in or outkf the building, leading to a lot of restless sleep. Average at best overall.

Decent room, slightly dated decor in hallways and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff solved all of our problems. Good prices and decent food in pub below. Continental breakfast included in price, cooked breakfast extra. Fan in room would have been useful in warm weather, and Wi-Fi somewhat unreliable.

If you are a woman you may not be served at the bar unless you are perseverant. Men first, at this pub, it seems. Evening meals very slow service and extremely unexceptional. Tomato soup from a can, probably. Took 45 minutes to get it too when pub not even busy! Breakfasts, however, were very good and service from the female servers was exceptional. Very lovely, friendly girls. The men, not so, I'm afraid. Accommodation was horrible. We were given a tiny closet for a room with windows that were either sealed shut or only opened a sliver so it was very claustrophobic. All the building's fans and cooking equipment was below our room so it was very noisy 24/7. I booked a room at this place a year prior and paid for it in full, as requested by Innkeepers and expected a nice normal room. Instead we had a horrid little room, too tight for 2 people to share. From the bed I could easily touch the side wall of our room. Upon leaving 3 days later, all rooms were open for cleaning and they ALL looked spacious and nice. Thanks so much, Innkeepers and the manager of The Beverley for giving us a nasty unwelcoming room, suitable perhaps for a single drunk young man leftover from a night at the pub not a couple travelling to Wales from Canada hoping for a nice experience in Cardiff.

Expensive in relation to what you get: it should be cleaner, tidier and more well maintained. Staff are nice.

Great ales, smashing food a cut above the average. But I wish pubs this good would publish local bus routes.
