Fantastic atmosphere with great food. It’s a hidden gem for campers. Lovely owners and spotlessly clean.

Super place for a getaway food is brilliant rooms great, we used it as a base to travel around the area the loch and views are amazing.
staff are super friendly and nothing is to much trouble.

Perfect camping field next to the hotel with amazing views! A peaceful place, helpful and welcoming staff, plus a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. I’ll be back!

Fantastic stay at Ben Lawers Hotel once again. Rooms, food and staff were brilliant. Everything in place for a perfect stay with covid restrictions, hand sanitizer stations everywhere, very well thought out. Thanks Paul and Dee. See you in March.

Just had another lovely meal at the Ben lawers hotel. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.

Bad experience in Ben Lawers Hotel, we went for a drink as we were staying at one of the fantastic houses locally. No hello on arrival, just looks. Didn’t feel welcomed, struggled to interact and serve drinks. This happened on two occasions. It doesn’t take much to give a nice hello and welcome customers, you would have thought that being remote hotel, that would have been the top of the list! But sadly no. Giving Scottish hospitality a bad name!

Just had a delightful meal in wonderful surroundings (the steak pie and chips being one of the best I’ve ever had! )
The service was prompt; friendly; attentive and genuine.
The environment and atmosphere was very pleasant; tasteful and the furniture and fittings to a high standard.
I’ve driven past this place a hundred times and often wondered. But tonight I chose to stop here for dinner.
Highly recommend this place. Top Marks.

Had a fabulous evening, best pizzas ever, lovely friendly, welcoming service from owners and staff.

Great stay. Welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere and made to feel ‘at home’ which is great when staying on your own. Food was great with room cosy and comfortable. Would recommend whether for a short break or business. Good value for money.

Stayed here last weekend with my fiancee. Cant fault the place one bit. Perfect location and owners were very friendly. The food here is amazing also. Views to die for what else can u ask for.

Friendly service, decent food, somewhat pricier than expected although far from anywhere.

Super cosy accomodation and quiet place to stop for the night. Stayed only one night. Plenty of good food on the menu and certainly recommended for shorter stays when hiking in the beautyful area. Got everything we needed and expected. Welcoming and friendly staff.

Popped in after a walk, food didn't start til 6pm, went elsewhere.

For £5 you can park a car here for the day while you head out to the local Ben Lawers range hills. If you have dinner at the hotel after your hike, this £5 is discounted off of your bill. The food is fantastic, with a good portion size for after a big hill day out bagging munros.

Shockingly rude. And completely unwelcoming. It felt as if the guy was angry at customers coming in (or perhaps not tolerant of others). On 3 separate instances, his behaviour was appalling and inappropriate. We left soon after just having our drink. Didn’t even bother ordering food. (We saw another couple go in after us and they walked out in 2 minutes). If I could give it a Zero. I would.

Just used there car park for the munros I was walking that day. There was a £5 charge. Which I think was ok for parking for 8 hours.

Unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. Brilliant day on the hills and surprised us all at the attitude of the owner. I felt embarrassed for dutch people we met who were 'welcomed' in the same manner…

Great meal after a long day hill walking. Only downside is I had the car so couldn't get a pint!

Stayed a couple of nights. Room was well presented, clean and had everything I needed.

Fantastic Food, one of the best cottage pies ever, all home cooked food. Paul and Dee are very friendly and Dee made us a special dessert which was lovely. We stayed in a local holiday cottage and visited Ben Lawers Hotel three times in the week. Would recommend to all.

Just left and I was trying to recall the last time I had such bad food. Probably when I was a teenager when I got my first house & started cooking for myself. Belhaven Best was undrinkable. The fella who I guess was the owner didn't take our complaint too well saying 'no one had ever complained' and that people thought his chips were 'perfect'. With hindsight we should have just walked out when we seen the plates of food.

Lovely small hotel that has recently been taken over by new owners. Beautiful setting and small clean rooms. The owners, however, were not pleasant at all. I travel a lot and stay in many establishments in Scotland and the attitude of these owners was extremely unpleasant. Myself and my partner stayed on a Friday night and after a walk we returned to the bar about 9pm where the owner was sitting in her pj's drinking a alcopop. Ok by me, I didn't mind her being comfy, we had a short chat and I got the feeling she didn't want to converse so we sat elsewhere. Her husband was running the bar and we ordered some drinks and we were talking about Scotland and independence etc and I was generally offended by his attitude. We didn't argue with his anti-Scottish diatribe as he was not for letting us talk much! He even slagged off the 2 locals when they left for the night. One was Norwegian and the owner says he doesn't know what he is saying and just agrees with him! We got the feeling he doesn't really like people and his offensive comments put us right off so we left to go up to our room. The next morning we were met with a very frosty owner who promptly told me to move from my seat at the breakfast table without explanation! I asked why and he said there was other guests sitting there but they were nowhere to be seen so we got up and left without breakfast. I know a lot of people in this area of Scotland and have since found out they are not well liked in the community.
