Stayed two nights for Daughters Graduation! Hotel Spotless! Staff Amazing! Nothing was to much bother! Breakfast was SelfService! Not a lot to chose from but Adequate! Would we stay there again DEFINATELY.

I stayed here over weekend as I was attending an event at the Dundee regional performance centre Excellent hotel in a great location. Comfortable rooms. Bright public area with great views breakfast and friendly staff. Excellent. I will definitely be back.

Very nice place to be, this is my first time lodging here and very excited.

Very basic cold and overpriced. There was no bath products provided.

My Aunt & I stayed there 16/10/21 — 18th for a concert in room 215. Ended up staying extra night. The staff were super friendly, helpful & went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant & enjoyable as possible. Had great laughs with them. The breakfasts were lovely & the bedrooms were quiet. I would definitely book with them again. Had a fantastic 3 days away. Well Done Dundee 😀👍.

Unhelpful and incompetent staff!
Booked this hotel to see family as not seen them in 5 months due to lockdown, chose this hotel as it was the only one that stated they allowed bookings but party members had to bring ID, after calling the booking staff not once but TWICE and being told all hotels were open to the public we got a message 30 minutes before leaving to be told the hotel wasn’t open till the 15th, we called to advised we had spoken to booking staff who advised it was open and on booking. Com advised you only need ID and we were told off a women at reception we were wrong and it doesn’t say that and they have had multiple issues with their booking team giving out wrong information, if this is an ongoing problem as they stated why has this not been rectified and why are customers still able to book for dates not the hotel isn’t open?
Very very disappointed in the way this was handled and the lack of manners coming from the female member of staff.

Central location not bad price. Breakfast as to be expected, nothing special. More local better bars/pubs than the hotel bar.

Had a 1 night stay, room was very spacious and clean, really comfy bed and pillows,
10 mins walk from the train station,
Breakfast was lovely, hot, and continental.
Friendly staff.
Would definitely stay again.

Nice room and decent Wi-Fi. Bar area nice enough although check-in wasn't easy (confusion over bookings which was entirely the hotel's fault! ). Breakfast pretty good although they ran out of bacon (cardinal sin! ). Very strange stairs set up too that took you all over the hotel!

Good clean room, good breakfast selection. Very please to and professional staff. Only issue was hairdryer not working properly. Good location in central Dundee with paid parking behind hotel.

The twin bed room was a decent size. Not al9t of choice at the bar but wasn't expecting loads. The service was excellent.

Nice place. It has a great location and it's quite quiet. The breakfast in the morning is good.

People were nice and helpful, breakfast was great, rooms were nice and clean. Can't complain! The door for the bathroom blew my mind, what design! They'll fold the end of the toilet roll into a triangle before your stay, made me feel so very special.

Best holiday inn I have stayed in. £65. Very clean, comfy bed, professional staff. I knocked down a star because they had no flora (vegetable oil spread) and I am vegan so could not eat anything apart from fruits.

It's a right hotel for having three stars. Nothing special. If you find one better see, it is enough for one night, but would not go several nights, tends to crappy.
The best of all is that it is very well located, very central. You can walk through the pedestrian area from the hotel, but don't expect magic, you don't have them or you'll find them.

Would recommend this hotel anytime. Easy access to the shops, visitor attractions and car park a joined behind for easy access.

The holiday inn Dundee at the tay bridge is one of my favourite places to stay welcoming staff comfortable beds great breakfast, been coming here for years know central to everything wouldn't go anywhere else first class.

Excellent service clean and tidy. Good selection for breakfast.

Good holiday inn express. Practical and comfy at a very reasonable price. Staff very friendly. Ask for a room at the back, the sound proofing is not the best. Stay here on a regular basis and whilst it's not the most glamorous, it gets the job done admirably.

Plumbing problems, hot water stinks, maybe bacteria, two days after drinking coffee and tea have diarrhoea.

I was very disappointed in this stay we have stayed many times before and my husband uses IHG hotels a lot so we decided to use some loyalty points this stay we were in a twin room, weren’t given a option the room was tiny and we could not get warm bed very uncomfortable the room was clean but sink in bathroom was cracked the staff are lovely never had a problem with the service breakfast not good bacon was nearly raw sausages over cooked no fruit and very little choice.

Inexpensive, quiet, friendly. Especial regard for a really comfortable bed. Location is good for local restaurants too.

My mum and dad were up visiting me in Dundee and let me and my partner have a look around the hotel. I must say it was really stunning inside and my dad said the breakfast was magnificent.

Easy to find with multistory parking behind the hotel with direct access to the hotel. Reception staff very helpful and pleasant. Room was adequate with good shower/bathroom. Braw view of the tay bridge. Very comfortable clean bed. Carpet was a tad grotty though. Breakfast was a self service buffet with the usual cereals, continental and cooked selections. Plenty of breakfast beverages. Breakfast area very well kept and bright. Would happily use the hotel again.

Nice place, the complementary breakfasts was good with a variety of food. Rooms and bathroom are clean and neat. I really recommend to stay there.

Tired and in need of refurbishment. The first rooms we had were in the centre of the second floor. One facing forward suffered from road noise. The one in the quiet zone to the rear was above restaurant extraction fans and also refrigeration plant which came on about every twenty minutes during the night. Both rooms had drafty windows, needed repainting and grouting in the bathroom. We asked to be moved and the staff were fantastic, finding us rooms on the third floor overlooking gellatly Street. Better rooms and far quieter. Hopefully with a lot of new capacity opening in Dundee this hotel will get refurbished up to a standard that matches the friendly and helpful staff.

Good location opposite the Tay road bridge. Has a small quite bar and breakfast is a good standard. Staff friendly and helpful. Have stayed their several times.

Comfortable beds, good customer service convenient location and nice views.

Checked in on the Saturday for September Weekend staying for 2 night. Arrived earlier than planned but fortunately our room was ready. Top floor with river view, just as requested. Parking was convenient, as didn't get wet when going to and from hotel. Location was excellent. Lovely walk from hotel to main shopping centre then onto bars and restaurants. Felt safe at all times. Breakfast was buffet style. Beans, sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs. Toast. Hot beverages. Room was adequate for our stay. Good size TV. Good size shower with hot water. Didn't use the hotel bar facilities, so can't comment on this. First visit to Dundee but will define be back and would definitely stay here. This is a perfect location to visit the overpriced but beautiful St Andrews. It took us approximately 20 minutes to drive.

The room was ok however there was long dark hairs on the floor of the bathroom and in the shower! The food was basic at best. For a lunch we had under cooked chips, soggy veg, Chicagotown pizzas cut in half & dry garlic bread! Condiments consisted of red or brown sources.

No hot water, no air conditioning so window had to be left open with noise from road; booked double but got twin. However the staff were friendly and helpful.

Basic rooms, poor Wi-Fi and a freezing cold public area with minimal staff. The food is actually okay.

We stayed at HIE Dundee for one night. You know what to expect with a chain like this so it really did what it said on the can (so to speak). The bar prices were shockingly expensive though which felt like daylight robbery and the hot food options were all straight from the freezer via microwave to the customer so I wouldn't recommend them. Room and breakfast were standard and good. The staff were very friendly especially the lovely housekeeper on 4th floor. Rooms are starting to look a wee bit tired and in need of a refurb. All in all good value for money and comfy for a city break.

Room was clean, was disappointed with food and service, we ordered pakora with a sauce as per menu, when it arrived it came without a sauce and salad leaves with no dressing, when we asked about it the lad said they did not have any of advertised sauce did we want a different one, my friend asked for chilli sauce they didn't have that either, my friend sent hers back and asked for it to be removed from the bill, the main part of our meal arrived, it was not the best, still had stalks on lettuce and wedges were hard, it was 1 hour before anyone came to talk to us about our meal, extremely disappointed would not go back or recommend to anyone, was booked by our company, will advise them not to use in future.

Quite new hotel, room for the 3 of us was good 2adults 1child, sofa bed for child, staff excellent and knowledge was first rate. Breakfast very good, great choice of both continental and traditional Scottish fare, eggs, bacon, sausages etc! Etc! Car park very near, but watch how much it costs, easy access to the hotel from car park. Very central, walking distance to town centre and bus and rail stations! Go on visit the hotel / dundee.

We had a very bad experience staying at this hotel. From the outside the hotel looks modern and clean but inside is a different story. As soon as we entered our room I instantly noticed the strong smell of cigarettes but I couldn't pinpoint where the smell was coming from. The carpet was disgusting and didn't look clean at all. Within our room there was a door that joined the room next door to us which was a problem when we were trying to get to sleep at night when all we could hear was the television from the room next door as the door didn't block any noise out. It was also at this time that we realised where the smell of cigarettes was coming from, which was the carpet right next to the bed. The smell was so strong that we could not get to sleep. It was also very noisy outside so we could not have our window open. Because of all this, around 1:00am we went to the front desk to ask if we could move rooms which eventually after finding someone to come to the desk they told us they didn't have any more rooms, so they sent someone up to spray the carpet and ask the people next door to turn the television down. Luckily the spray did work but after all the hassle we couldn't get back to sleep. The breakfast was very poor as the only choice for a hot breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage and beans which all tasted bland and horrible.

We were in the second building on the second floor and I swear we didn't hear a single noise the whole time we were there. It was great but everytime we went by the restaurant/lounge there was no one there.

At a Holiday Inn Express very good situation. Central location and nice view.

After an 8 hour drive in appalling weather all I wanted was a comfy bed and got more than that here! easy to locate with secure parking nearby (at a cost but not bad considering other parking across the country) got to the hotel easily and was welcomed by a nice smiley face who couldn't have been more pleasant to talk to and helped me with a mis-booking that my company had made. The room was a decent size, not the most amazing view (the carpark) but plenty of lighting both natural and artificial. The room itself was clean, tidy, well designed and most importantly smelt pleasant! the shower was amazing and all in all the over all effect was a tired me feeling comfortable and relaxed.

Stayed in this for only one night, but reception looking's good, rooms clean and modern, good facilities for an express hotel! Good central location and free parking in a Multi storey after 6pm. Also very reasonably priced! I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Stayed in July 2009 Apart from helpful member of staff rest is negative. 20 minute induction, given wrong room key so had to traipse back to reception, no air conditioning in room (appaling in modern/new hotel) especially as there on hot July day and sultry at night, noisy, minimalist breakfast — more a snack as no full English, could not open window more than a few inches so with no air conditioning like a sauna. Notwithstanding price poor value for money. And to cap it all had to pay for car parking. 2 out of 10 — that's being generous.
