Ideal location, Pet friendly, warm welcoming staff, nice comfy clean spacious rooms & a lovely breakfast buffet.

Stop here a couple of times a month on business. Always a friendly warm welcome, comfortable bed and clean room ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mark was on tesk and was very welcoming and friendly, I felt at home in my room, Mark directed us very well and breakfast was great.

Friendly staff, however the breakfast service was disorganised chaos. No proper Covid policies in place in the restaurant. Rooms not cleaned daily, due to Covid Restrictions. Zero signage to inform guests of this. I suspect this is more about keeping staff wages down, after lockdown financial losses, than it is about Infection Control.

It’s had a really good renovation! Much better place to be now. Staff are lovely too!

Ridiculous service walked an hour to get there and we phoned to let them know we where nearly there and they told us the cancelled it and could not stay they also said we wear steaming drunk and couldn’t even talk ridiculous for anyone that sees this don’t go because they will let you down my friends where there the night before and there was a power cut and had to get there food through the window. What if we had no where to go they would probably still not let us in 😡really angry right now.

Been here several times with work. Fantastic. Love the location just off the motorway, spacious rooms, staff are friendly on every visit regardless of who’s on front of house. Recommended.

A family room that leaves you 1” gap between the bed and wardrobe. Bring this to the attention of the staff and get.

Was about to head back as couldn’t continue working in Scotland with no hot meals available in hotels.
Here still providing good food for guests but you have to take back to your room.

Have stayed here many times over the years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are fantastic and nothing is ever a problem the rooms are immaculate and now we can even bring our dog Bisto who had a ball and was spoiled rotten.

Nice clean room. Family friendly.
It was perfect being next to Toby carvery as our room wasn’t quite ready. Definitely stay again.

A warm welcome, rooms have not long been refurbished, very clean and tidy.

Get a menu and bar staff, waited about 20 mins to get served a drink because one member off staff was checking in guests and doing the bar.

They cancel pre-paid bookings even though late arrival advised and confirmed back. Also didn’t appreciate a mouse in the room.

Stayed here a few time's and we love it & its just been refurbed so lookes fab. Staff all good too xx.

Stayed one night while In Edinburgh for the tattoo. Beds very comfortable. Buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Hot and cold. Fruits and youghts. Breads cake and cereals.

Just under average due to poor understanding of good customer service and no breakfast variety. Breakfast not recommended. Otherwise all ok, bed clean and shower pressure is much better than other hotels. I would recommend this hotel if you needed a nice bed on your journey. But do not expect anything outstanding.

A great place to stay if your doing a show or something like that not to far away from the city of Glasgow and Edinburgh and other smaller towns and attractions what ever your age. A great selection of very helpful staff and all welcoming and friendly. You couldn't ask for anything more. The hardest thing was finding a way in with the coach and a space to park up. Lt must be easier with a car or van. But now I've been it shouldn't be a problem next time.

This is a very welcoming hotel. There is very easy access from the main routes. Best of all, it's situated on the edge of Strathclyde Country Park with its loch and its wildlife. A perfect place for a short break.

Poor and not what you'd expect from Holiday Inn. Shabby room very basic, disappointed to have to spend 4 nights there on business. Back in July and I will be looking for a different hotel.

Value for money. This hotel boasts of a locational advantage few can match. Reach here we'll in time to enjoy what Nature has to offer around. Hotel itself is a budget hotel so all the works are available. Breakfast is included. Parking is free and safe. I think all the above gives it a big thumbs up for your next visit plan. Infact if you have your own wheels then I suggest instead of staying in Glasgow this hotel suits in many ways and you can always drive into Glasgow for anything else.

This hotel is brilliant for business use — we use the meeting room for our annual AGM, hold Committee meetings in the lounge area and when we have our annual event the visiting dignatories are all put up in the hotel. The staff are very helpful — if visitors arrive early they will hold bags at reception until the rooms are ready, they will prepare rooms in the order in which arrivals are expected and they pin our welcome letters to their key cards so that each visitor is given their individual letter without us having to be there.

Clean and freindly great pillows and mattress breakfast is included and it was hot and delicious.
Could do with socket near the mirror for the ladies.

Simple accommodation with great staff and nicely situated for a walk around Strathclyde Loch and dinner at Alona.

Comfortable rooms with added bonus of free Wi-Fi. Buffet style breakfast also included free of charge.

First reception: No room for 3… of the shot 5 minutes after we make a reservation on Ebooker and there is!
Otherwise it's a chain and not really nice.

The room was clean and warm which was perfect for the cold nights and the all inclusive breakfast was well cooked. The staff were really helpful and friendly and I will be staying there again on my future trips.

Handy location and good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a little bit dated but very clean and tidy. More power sockets would be good. We would use again.

An extra star for the friendliness of the staff. Nice rooms with free Wi-Fi (couldn't manage to connect though) and breakfast included. Needs to improve breakfast variety. Poor soundproofing is not an issue until 'active Tuesday' is on and eventually you are part of a platonic trio. No nasty surprises hygiene-wise which is always a bonus!

It's ok for what I needed. Some reviews are a bit unfair. It's a holiday express. Rooms clean. Staff friendly. Restaurant is a bit transport cafe but still clean. Food is average and microwaved. Lacks atmosphere but again were not here to see Russ Abbot. I couldn't really tell there was was a motorway outside. Location is good.

Stayed for 1 night while away with work. Very impressed with the hotel. Very Clean. Pleasant staff. Plenty of parking. Nice breakfast. Free Wi-Fi was painfully slow.

This hotel fulfilled our needs for an overnight stay to break the journey from NE Scotland back to Lancashire. Comfy beds, clean room. The buffet breakfast included hot food (bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and beans) plus plenty of other items. Have to agree with another reviewer that the dining area did feel a bit like a motorway cafe! Any staff we met were very pleasant… no complaints there. Good value for the price we paid.

The location is perfect if your visiting M&Ds amusement park. There is a restaurant which serves carvery only next door and others within the amusement park. There are also vending machines within the hotel lobby. We stayed for one night and enjoyed the included breakfast which was served in a continental buffet style with eggs, sausages and beans on offer. Our room was big enough to fit a travel cot and it had all things needed for a comfortable stay. We did find the bed slightly small and too soft for our liking but we can be quite particular about beds, I have certainly had worse!

On arrival we were greeted by a a delightful young lady who informed us of all amenities, times of meals and room location. The reception area was clean and tidy as was our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.

Late arrival traveling on work. Warmly greeted at reception. Room is of an older style and nearing needing an update but clean. Found my room quiet considering proximity to motorway. Breakfast had a reasonable amount of choice and ideal for a quick departure with self service.

The noise! Imagine climbing into a large metal cabinet, having the lid closed and then some Z list celebrity hooking said cabinet up to the back of an HGV and driving down the road while you try to get to sleep… I've had more pleasurable ankle sprains than I have trying to get a good nights sleep in this faded wonder of a hotel. The noise from the motorway is biblical. No air con so with the windows shut its hotter than satans armpit, hence having to open the windows! Rooms are tired, dubious staining on the carpets (prob Satan again), a shower tray that floods the bathroom within 2 minutes so speed is required when showering. Breakfast was almost as pleasant as the nights restful sleep, as bland as eating cotton wool. And all this for a bargain price of £129 per night. Amazing value.

This Holliday Inn Express is well located just off the motorway with easy excess to Glasgow. Plenty of free parking. Some basic meals are served in the bar and Toby Carvery is right next door. Nothing much to complain about apart from no bacon served at breakfast and a little overpriced, at least on this occasion.

This is a quiet and very clean hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were bright and clean and offer hot drinks. The breakfast was varied but do not expect five star food.

Good facilities, quite small rooms especially when in family configuration but the bathroom was spacious. Location was excellent for our needs, close to the motorway and at the right point for deciding which route to take to the Highlands! Breakfast was nice, but like the overall experience, functional but nothing special.

Not bad so far. The room are lovely and clean. Also the bathroom are lovely, the only thing I can say about is the breakfast is a bit poor, on a whole. Go across the road to Toby carvery for breakfast £5.98 full breakfast nd unlimited food nd hot tea.

Very good experience. Stayed here for a week. The staff are very nice. 1 of the review earlier claimed they only had 1 power socket. 2 rooms I had stayed on had 3 power sockets 1 for kettle 2 empty ones below the desk. I wish we had a few more. It was fine. The breakfast can still be improved. Can't complain it's an excellent price for such a good location.

It's fairly basic, but clean and friendly. I've stayed here a number of times, right on the edge of a large park/loch it's lovely grounds, but if you want something more than pub grub (or neighbouring cavery) in the evening you'll need to jump in the car. Very pleasent.

Clean and easy to park. Breakfast is open at 6.30 although I went down and it was all set up at 6.15. I asked for a standard room and was given a twin which is why it lost a star.

Good stay, staff friendly breakfast good, would stay again without any hesitation nothing is any trouble for staff if you ask for anything always willing to halp.

Situated just off junction 5 of the M74, this is a prime location for both Motherwell and Hamilton and has easy access to Glasgow. I stopped for just one night and it was a pleasant experience. Next door is a restaurant, but the hotel also offers a selection of food cooked on the premises. My room was a family room and had a desk, double bed and also a sofa bed. The wardrobe is just a rail, but more than adequate. The bed was more than comfortable for one night and I always like the fact that Holiday Inn give you a choice of firm or soft pillows. I like a firm pillow and so make sure that's my side. Only downside for the room was the wall light in the picture above didn't work and this made the room slightly dark. The bathroom was the standard size for a Holiday Inn Express, with the shared door between the toilet and the main bathroom area. The sink and mirror configuration I always find interesting and very useful. The value for money of the hotel was very high. The room, including breakfast, was only £70. Breakfast was OK, with a limited hot selection and a continental option too.

Excellent location and very handy for motorway and Motherwell, buy still quiet. Room was very warm. Standard HI Express breakfast, which is never brilliant.

Rooms are okay, and the breakfast is good, but could have a bit more choice for hot food. Plusthe corridor stinks of cigarettes.

Friendly staff, reasonable bar area, comfortable bed. Only downside is a very obscure bathroom/toilet door.

Rooms are small and basic but well equipped with freeview TV and ensuite. The free breakfast buffet is excellent. Convenient place to stay for rowers competing in events at Strathclyde Park.

I was only in the hotel for 8 hours but it was in the right place. The beer was cold, the bed was comfy, the shower was hot and the breakfast pastries were just right. I'd stay again.

I would not recommend. Appalling privacy and service. The service was poor and seemed very understaffed. I had a late night meal delivered from a local takeout that did not provide cutlery, so I phoned reception to ask for some to be told "I'm busy. Come down and get it". When I arrived at reception his "busy" was chatting to his friends at the bar, which is part of the reception. Not once was I asked "How was your stay? " The reading lights next to the beds were not working, the freeview on the TV was not working, the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working and the shower was extremely weak. The room was clean enough despite some markings on some of the furniture and the free Wi-Fi was the only reason I would even give it one star. However, the worst thing was the privacy. The walls are paper thin and every conversation or passer by in the hallway can be heard clearly, which makes an early night impossible. Any toilet use can also be heard clearly regardless of whether the toilet is in your room or the next But I guess you get what you pay for.

Horrible night spent pubic hair on toilet and faeces on light switch when reporting this manager came to clean it unapologetic and said we would get discount that never happened kept up with loads of noise from bar very rowdy waking my kids I KNOW It is cheap but u don't expect that basic cleanliness a Must back home feeling exhausted never again gone down hill over the years for sure.

Above the standard for an expresss, staff really friendly. My job involves early morning start, night staff very good and get me coffee and food at 5am! Clean rooms and a quiet night, just what you need.

Exactly what you would expect. Nice clean room, friendly reception people, nice bed, poor shower (hence the 4*s), great price. What else do you want from a functional hotel.
