They couldn't do enough for us It was my daughter's wedding. Stay two nights. Food was really good staff and management were excellent rooms were really nice thank you we all had a great time.

Friendly staff who make you most welcome. Excellent standing of accommodation and facilities.

Nice and clean too cannot comment on the food yet as have not been for dinner.

Stayed for a couple of nights in a disabled room;. And I have a gluten intolerance. Staff bent over backwards to help, room fabulous, care taken with dietary needs, staff have such a fantastic attitude, any requests dealt with quickly. Would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Very nice and welcoming staff lovely place.

Everything is just perfect, staff, hotel appearance, food, cleanliness, outlook, all brilliant, and we are only here for an overnight stay for a treat, but we forgot playing cards and when he could not find a pack the very kind manager went out and bought us a pack of cards, given that the weather is terrible, it was a very kind thing to do. All staff were so very friendly happy and helpful. I will definitely come back here.

Had a lovely meal last night, staff couldn't have done anymore to make us feel safe and even with masks on had a smile.

Just home from our second stay at Balgeddie House and we will definitely be back! A lovely hotel with a beautiful garden to relax in. The room was very clean and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Even with social distancing measures in place all staff were friendly and approachable. Our family king room was perfect for myself, my partner and our 6 month old. Beautiful gardens and lovely bar/patio area. Dinner was great and we had a great nights sleep.

The staff are top class great friendly people and the food plus service is pure spot on would recommend if in area should stop off an stay for night or 2 and lovely big grounds for sitting out side.

Came this evening partners 40th birthday tea. Meal was beautiful. Nice and got on arrival to the table staff all very friendly and accommodating. Didn't feel rushed were able to go at our own pace. Would highly recommend.

Room was spacious, however shower head was disgusting, Covered in scum… hadn’t been cleaned, which looked liked in a looooong time, complaint made, then returned to room with it clean,?
Bar area ok, not much atmosphere. Room service is pretty poor, only sandwich choice, but it was ok due to being hungry.? would struggle to recommend for £125 a night.

The food is poor tho breakfast is ok — different chef? … As a points card holder we are promised the best rate. This is a false. Booking. Com offering double rooms about £20 cheaper than the best western website are offering single rooms for the same night. Repeated phone calls direct to the hotel go unanswered …

Balgeddie house take a bow, your staff are the most helpful I have come across they will do anything for you to make your stay great. The food as always was amazing. The rooms are always clean and fresh. Thanks again balgeddie house see you next year.

Here is what I get paid to do. My partner and I booked in here today. Thought we would have night away with out teejay out dog. Well I'm sorry to say the lasgangna was very very dry. No white sauce through it what so ever. Leaving with no Breaki tmrw that's for sure. They need a decent head chef and also certain staff need to listen to what we order. Mistake can cost there job. Right enough of me yeah paid to be a reviwer not happy with this food here at all.

My husband and I had our wedding here 2 days ago and we can’t thank the staff enough for everything they did. It went so smoothly from start to finish, and a special mention to Sarah who went above and beyond to help us during the planning process and throughout the day. Nothing was too much of an ask. The food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and the rooms immaculate. We had the best day here and would recommend it as a venue to any couple. Thank you Balgeddie.

Spent a nice night here with my hubby a few months ago. The meal was lovely although we dined in the less formal dining room. Enjoyed the pool and Spa. Breakfast was fab too. All in all a lovely stay. We will be back.

I have stopped here many times as it is in a good location for me. Nice friendly staff.

A beautiful place to stay with fantastic gardens. The staff are helpful and friendly. I had a beautiful bedroom and really enjoyed a relaxing break. Beautiful fishing harbours in driving distance.

Last minute visit, very pleasantly surprised by the level of service and food, simply outstanding. Staff were attentive and the food was simply scrumptious, the icing on the cake was the green tea, raspberry and jasmine cake, such a delicate finish to any meal. We will certainly be back. Please keep it up.

We went swimming and joined the health & fitness facility for a 6 week trial membership. Good facilities for disabled people. Had a nice coffee in the bar afterwards. Saw the Fife Bus there. Impressed with the staff.

Although one of our rooms was next to a noisy shower, our complaint was addressed satisfactorily and did not detract from this delightful hotel, spa and grounds. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast was very good — plenty of choice for everyone. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice shortbread with the tea making facilities. If you have difficulty with stairs, specify a room on the side with a lift. We will be staying here next time we are in the area.

No happy at all with the service I received Could not fine a member of staff untill exactly when I needed them and I find my self unable to enjoy my morning coffee as I have absolutely nothing to complain about lol ally and her staff hosted mine and my beautiful wife's wedding last night and we couldn't have bin happier the hotel is a beautiful setting in its self and the staff expertly lead by ally (manageress) gave a level of service and attention to detail that really made us feel like there was nothing to much every thought and eventuality sorted before we knew it was an issue hats off to you ally will be surly be recommending you to everyone.

Celebrated our Nephew's wedding here — tremendous! Fantastic setting & the staff couldn't have done any more to make it special. Food & accommodation amazing. Highly recommend it!

Stayed for 2 nights as a birthday treat for my husband. The room was spacious and well laid out. The bathroom had a comer bath and shower cubilble. It was spotless. The food was awesome. It was piping hot and more than enough on servings. Breakfast was cooked to order and was also fab. The pool was great and the sauna and steam room added to the relaxation. The staff were very polite and helpful. Would recommend and would visit again.

A very enjoyable two nights stay at the Balgeddie House Hotel, Glenrothes, Fife. Very welcoming staff, and a very nice room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was very and the service was very professional. Would definitely stay there again.

This place is not extravagant, but it has plenty of character. The rooms are very spacious, and the people are very nice. The food is good, and the breakfast is exceptional.

Great room in a great hotel. Well priced. Easy to find, and well positioned for adventuring around the surrounding area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was top notch. Popular wedding venue, so there can be a lot of noise and kerfufle if you're there when an event is on. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

Very rude staff couldn't care less. This place is much more interested in looking after the locals from the bar to to the health club. Your made to feel as an intruder. It is deffinelty not child friendly. The hair dryer exploded and burnt my mother's hand just to replaced with no concern. Place is a disgrace. I have stayed here before and it was amazing but things have deffinelty changed. You need to be a local to go in this place. Will not be back. Ignorant!

Had a very enjoyable meal at the balgeddie, service was fantastic, Very friendly staff. The only down side was the portion size… they were huge and certainly not good for the January diet best steak pie we have had out for a long time. Will 100% be back.

What can I say? Well it's better than most 3 stars so there's a start. The staff are outstanding and will go out of their way to help you even if the snack menu isn't available at the time they will do you a snack. The spa and pool are perfect for a casual user like myself. What I enjoyed the most is the peace and tranquillity. It is quiet and peaceful during the week. I can't comment on weekends but my 3 nights went by too quickly. Lovely locals in the bar from time to time and great food. Overall the staff and food were great and the building itself is historic and beautiful but not falling apart. I am definitely coming back. Puts most Best Westerns Ive stayed in before to shame.

Stayed for 2 nights just after new year. Couldn't have been happier. Everything here is done well, the rooms, common areas, pool and spa are clean to a high standard. We had selected a winter special offer from the best western website which worked out at just over £200 for 2 large double rooms. The rooms were large with good size bathrooms and were spotless as we're the ensuite bathrooms in both which were a good size, the beds were huge and comfortable. Breakfast was included on our deal, this included a self service bar and a few hot items from the menu. The food on the self service bar was fairly basic but tasty including pastries, fruit, cereals and toast. The cooled breakfast was well done, slightly better on the first morning than the second, it was perfectly sized, not too much but enough to fill the void. After the breakfast order was given the food was served rapidly within a few minutes and was nice and hot. The brasserie has a great menu with selections for everybody, I sampled the haggis burger on the first evening along with the chicken breast starter. Tasted great overall, particularly the burger. The salad was a little dry and basic, but did not detract from the rest of the food. The swimming pool was clean and well serviced with good facilities, sauna and steam room and decent sized changing facilities. Shame about the lack of a hot tub but still good overall. Great place doing everything right. Staff were some of the friendliest I'd ever met!

Big sized rooms with a great sense of style. Great and helpful staff most of the times. Also a very clean spa and swimming pool to use at your convenience. The gym is equipped with weights, treadmills, stationery bicycles and fitness mats. I like the fact that apart from gym they also have an area for various fitness classes. I personally like the old hotel rooms in the old part of the building just because the anti scolding thingy it's not installed in the rooms to regulate the maximum water temperature in the showers. And finally, the food at the restaurant it's really tasty and fresh although they only serve breakfast until 10 o'clock and after that the kitchen reopens at 12 o'clock, which for me that period of time is when I have breakfast most of the time. Out of all Best Western hotels I believe that Balgeddie House is one of the best organised and kept ones.

Had a great night here with my colleague and my work for the party night. Got here and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Used the pool, sauna and steam room which was really nice and had everything you needed. Then got ready and went to PARTY night. The food was great, can't complain about anything. The party was fab aswell. We slept really well although the room was hot (we had window open all night lol) had breakfast in morning also very good, then used pool and spa facilities again before checkout. Cannot fault anything will defo be back. Thank you. :-)

Lovely place; we stayed in the older part where there is no lift but it is beautiful. The newer part does have a lift. We didn't eat there as we visited relatives or ate out at mealtimes but I did overheard other guests saying how good their meal had been. We had a large family room with a good big bathroom. We were only there for 3 nights but its one of the few hotel rooms I would have been comfortable in for a fortnight. My son was very pleased with the gym.

I like it here, the rooms are a good size, the bathrooms are nice. Everything is kept clean and the Wi-Fi is great.

Ideal for the festival, 20 minutes to Ferrycross park and ride. So much cheaper than staying in Edinburgh.

I would like to say a massive thanks to Balgeddie and all its staff. I had my wedding at the weekend and it was perfect. The staff made sure it ran like clock work. You put alot of trust in a venue when you book it as your wedding venue but Balgeddie were amazing. Would highly recommend. Sarah was great on the day but also in the planning. And Lynn was my saviour in the evening. Everyone else was amazing too. Anyone booking here your are in completely safe hands you will have an amazing time.

I attended here as an all day wedding guest. Staff were all very friendly and professional. Good was lovely and drinks reasonably priced. Facilities were all clean and well maintained would happily return again.

A very unique feel to the place that makes it feel like a converted mansion… Not a standard hotel. Though very clean. Lack of TV channels not a problem with their well maintained Wi-Fi network. Third floor rooms slightly small and pipes had air in a them that makes them spurt a bit. The pool and sauna were excellent, though the close about 10pm. The bar and breakfast room by the back yard are great… Though the vegan options are, like much of the area, sparse. If they ever make part of the grass field into one of those highly manicured British gardens, this place would be amazing.

Clean room. Huge bathroom. Large swimming pool and it was very clean. Staff were very friendly and the food was great value for money. A good all round experience. (the reception area was confusing… The gym and main hotel reception are one and the same)

We should have known that when we walked into an empty dining room, this was a bad sign. Very poor service; as a group of 14 we were not given the option of specials and on arrival were told we had a set menu, we then waited over an hour from arrival to get any food and when it did eventually come out one meal was missing. There was NO apology from any staff members when the final meal came out 10 minutes after they went to "check where it is". The food was average at best. We will not be back.

What a beautiful place! A beautiful garden, great hotel with access to the SPA and the swimming pool. Everything you need to feel good and relax. A nice step!

My mum and my stepdad and I and some of my friends came to stay a this wonderful hotel as I was a bridesmaid for my friends wedding. I have to say every thing was superb the staff were wonderful and pleasant and attentive The food was delicious (especially the scottish breakfasts) the rooms were wonderful and we were given an upgrade (we dig not ask for one but they insisted) the rooms were lovely and clean and they even had a pool/steam room and sauna l and exercise classes. They even had plastic bags to put your wet swimming things in The weekend was fantastic was fantastic from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hotel 110 %
