Coz of restrictions the hotel has done a great job wae beer garden and distancing and heating for drinker.

Another pleasant afternoon in The Royal, this time in the heated beer garden.
Great service and lovely welcoming staff Nicola and Karen.
It was also lovely to meet previous owners Ann and Irvin.
We will most definitely be back.

Just back home from a 3 night stay at the Royal, lovely little hotel owner and the staff very friendly the breakfast was lovely and plenty on the menu to keep everyone happy the room was clean and very quiet, just a few minutes walk to the harbour with some lovely restaurants we had evening meal in the Waterfront and also The Bank couldn’t fault either place.
Thank you again would highly recommend the Royal Hotel.

Hotel is fantastic friendly and very clean. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious and will be back here for some more breakfast the service was exceptional and did everything she could to make it an enjoyable experience. My family and I will be back to this brilliant place again and again keep up the good work.

The Royal hotel is changing hands, good events evening had Halloween there everyone was dressed up in disguise.

Just back from staying at the Hotel from 8th 12th Sept 2019 and can't fault it… Rooms were spacious tidy and clean with tea, coffee, biscuits and water replaced if used without asking✅, Breakfast was brilliant as well as relaxing in the Hotel's Royal Bar! Staff were friendly and the overall value for money factor was excellent, so if venturing to Anstruther/East Coast give The Royal Hotel an opportunity to put a smile on your face!

As our local hubby and I love it, owners, staff and punters are just so welcoming.

Spent new year last year and this! Friendly welcoming staff will return.

Great night great staff pop in as made so welcome.

There are many other places to go in Anstruther, the Royal would be my last choice.

Excellent staff and great atmosphere staff are very helpful and cant do anymore to make your visit the best place in town to go for entertainment and friendly place to sit and enjoy with your friends and family Irvan and Ann ate very nice people.

Beautiful place. Attended for a baby shower. Was a lovely place to go. The room is away from the bar and can be closed off. Only fault was irn bru can of juice was out of date. Didn't affect it as I had finished it before noticed. Part from I enjoyed it.

Breakfast great. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Locals very pleasant. Will definitely return.

Just back from 2 night stay @ the royal hotel, anstruther. Great wee hotel, bed comfy, breakfast superb, staff make you feel welcome. Will be returning.

Brilliant place great staff and well worth the visit for a we party with good friends thanks Irvan for a great night on satutday.

We had our wedding ceremony and wedding meal here yesterday. Ann, Irvine and staff couldn't have done any more for us considering this was the first time they had done something like this. Everything ran smoothly and like clockwork. The food was excellent and was served quickly. I don't think I heard a bad word all day. A wonderful day was had by everybody.

I have been in a good few times with family for lunch. Which has always been delish, and value for money.
But last night you did an amazing job catering for our family birthday bash. All 30 of us were well fed and with drinks flowing, the food was spot on and tasted great. Couldn't thank Anne enough for being so attentive through organising our secret party, and also to Anne, Alison and team on the night.

My family have done a great job with opening The Royal doors! Well done. Enjoyed the chicken parma ham dish last night — amazing! The free mulled wine was a big hit too. If you are passing through Anster you must stop in.
