Just had a fantastic weekend staying here. Rooms and setting are lovely, excellent service, the staff all very friendly. Food was amazing and a great selection of drinks. Stella Artios on draught is always a winner for me 🍻 We will definitely be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff… food… views… location… perfect!

We had a fantastic short break at The Bank in October. The room was lovely, the hotel was spotless with great food and a fine selection of drinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and worked so hard to take care of all the guests. A special shout out to Jessica who couldn’t have done any more for everyone. Looking forward to our next visit!

Place was a little quiet due to the current covid restrictions, but hopefully things will pick up again in the weeks to come.

Can’t fault food you should try the smoked haddock burger.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal on Friday night all washed down with really good wine, a big shout out to the staff who were all very helpful and friendly and especially Jessica who looked after us so well… we'll definitely be back.

Nice view from the dining room. Staff nice and efficient. Wife and I had the fish and chips paying an extra pound and was excellent as you would expect from a fishing port.

My husband and I stayed for the first time at the weekend, and definitely can't wait to come back, food was amazing, views from room are out of this world, so peaceful and relaxing, staff were very friendly and welcoming, very friendly village people are so nice, we will be back very soon xx.

My first time in The Bank last night and I would definitely recommend this place. 4 couples out for dinner and a good few drinks. Food was fabulous, service was great big shout out to Caitlin and the young guy who served us. The guys behind the bar were also great and even phoned us a taxi at the end off the night. The entertainment were "Mason" and they were fantastic great range of different types of songs brilliant singers. Dougie from Mid-Calder.

We had a meal for our friend's 60th birthday and we had a fantastic meal served by staff who were excellent. I had scallops to start followed by sea bass which were cooked perfectly, compliments to the chef. 5* quality in all areas of the restaurant and bar. Thank you all for a very memorable meal.

Visited the bank for a family meal and the food was delicious, the service we received was great and the staff were also child friendly as we had 3 children under 3 with us. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Went into the Bank Bar on a Sunday evening, was busy but not overly so. Ordered drinks which were fine. Asked for menus for food to be told they weren't serving food anymore. However, there were other tables with menus and ordering food including some that came in after us. Made us feel very unwelcome. Terrible service. Avoid!

The hotel is new and very nice, the customer service is absolutely bed no organizational and no a reception. They must improve the management.

Exceptional setting in an old 5 Star Bank for the kitchen, I ate excellent fish dishes.
4 stars for the room: very spacious, very well equipped but it lacked a hair of hot water.

Really enjoyed our stay. Superior room was lovely with a jacuzzi bath and everything you'd need or want. The restaurant served lovely food promptly. No complaints at all.

Great menu variety and atmosphere. Excellent portion size and value. Quality unparalleled. Fajitas the best I've had outside an authentic Mexican specific restaurant. Deserts are great and not to be skipped. Place of choice for a sit in meal in Anstruther.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal last night here, highly recommend trying the steak on the stone, was delicious, service was top marks as well even though the staff were run off their feet as it was a busy Saturday night they made sure everything was ok for us, also enjoyed a few drinks in the bar trying some of there selection of gins, will definitely be back soon.

Nice pub, restaurant with accommodation. Nice choice of drinks never had any food but what I saw looked good. Also never stayed in the accommodation so can't comment. However, a busy bar with both locals and vistors.

This review is for The Bank as a pub. Well, what can I say, superb. All the ingredients for a great pub in here, the staff really stand out, the look of the place, both inside and out is very classy. I drank here New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and the service was impeccable. There’s a great selection of craft beers/ real ales whatever they’re called this week and there’s loads of room, tables and chairs. By all accounts the food is great, but I can’t judge that, unfortunately. If you’re into your sport, that’s catered for also, with ultra sharp monitors. The general ambience is wonderful, but above all the staff really make the place, intelligent, super helpful, ultra polite and they seem to instinctively know what you want. Go nowhere else, just get yourself down to the Bank, you’ll not regret it!

Went for afternoon tea with my boyfriend, it was lovely! Great selection of teas, although we went for coffee. Sandwiches were nice too, but it'd have been good to have more veggie options! The scones and little cakes/pastries were lovely too, but the only let down of the place is there's no parking!

The Bank is excellent value. It is tastefully furnished and the rooms are very spacious and well appointed! The food was good although the full Scottish breakfast could have been warmer! The pancakes and bacon were delicious! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Just spent a 2 night stay here and we had a lovely time staff are so friendly and helpful the food was delicious especially the steak on the hot stone cooked at the table to just the way I like it a good choice for breakfast only down side was no parking at hotel but we would deffo recommend it and we will be back at some point in the summer …

Superb service and delightful afternoon tea. The staff were always brilliant and very good with my 2 year old. The tables are a but tight but it's a lovely view from the restaurant. Everything was spotless and we will definitely be back.

Lovely pub/restaurant/hotel. Great food and lovely atmosphere. It used to be a bank and they have very old cheques displayed on the wall, which I found quite interesting.

Picturesque fishing village. The Bank has exceptional food and a wonderful view of the harbor from their dining room. Rooms have been updated. Renovations were still underway. Just wish we would have asked if they offered a harbor view room.

Despite booking (in January) of a quiet room not to the street, we got (in May) a room at the 1 OG on the street. When the cars drove past, the furniture vibrates. The staff, male, overbearing, made no institutions to change anything. We cancel and looked for something more beautiful. Never ever again!,,

This is Anstruther's 'club. ' Never really liked it. Beer was usually off, loud music played, obnoxious people frequented here. Expensive too.

Food was v. Disappointing. Had sea bass with "Crushed herb baby potatoes with smoked bacon and sun dried tomato salsa". Potatoes were boiled, soggy chips; salsa tasted of bland tinned tomatoes. Hardly any bacon to speak of. Fish nothing special. Poor music playing and mediocre service. Wouldn't visit again.

The whole experience of this hotel was superb. Bought 2 nights through a deal and was pleasantly surprised. Food was absolutely fabulous and rooms were modern and very comfortable. Staff were first class. Would recommend this hotel and will be making a return visit.

The hotel was excellent in all aspects. The rooms were spacious, modern, clean and warm. The staff were very helpful and obliging and the mangers very friendly and informative. Myself and my husband will make the short break an annual event or more if i'm lucky.

They allow dogs into the bar and that raises the profile of any establishment in my mind :-).
