Food is really good. They do the most amazing fish and chips also dog friendly.

Great and welcoming staff. Great room overlooking the harbour. Very pet friendly. Great food and a good selection of beers. Definitely recommended.

Great sea front position. Lovely roaring fire in the bar. Nice service. Food was good though nothing to wax lyrical about. However, the puddings — £7.95 for a tiny “tumbler” of cranachan! C’mon folks! All the puds were similarly priced. These prices were on a par with, for example, The Witchery in Edinburgh! That’s mental! We would come back for a main meal but might need to remortgage the hoose if we fancied something sweet. Just saying.

Lovely doggy friendly bar and restaurant, Enormous fish on my chips, and really friendly staff made this the best impulse stop of our break here.

Busted for lunch on Friday the 2nd August, food was great, quick and friendly service to top off a lively visit to Portpatrick.

Stopped in for lunch. Food was lovely, staff were welcoming and service was prompt! Can't ask for more. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in for food today, and it was delicious, only had chips and a wrap, and my partner had macaroni and chips but was the best I have had anywhere!

We arrived with no reservation, the staff were just superb. Nothing was a problem. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast included in our overnight stay was substantial. Just a top place to stay… with views. Did I say amazing the staff were…

Was there yesterday for folk music festival. Everywhere was very busy. So not the best time to give a post… but it is very enjoyable.

It was dinner time so I visit the pub here. It was amazing! Spectacular view of the rough coast, nice staff, and great meals! Not only standard pub food, but also many fine dishes with fresh local ingredients. Tried scallops and fish. They were fantastic. Wide range of drinks, too.

Popped in here for a drink after a long days walking. The staff were friendly and there was a good selection of both local and typical drinks available. Sat outside by the sea and soaked up the village scene. Didn't order food but from what I saw it looked great. Only not a 5* as the indoor decor was a bit run down and wasn't as appealing as others in the area. Still worth a visit though.

Have been to eat here 3 times during a holiday week. Food really good but plates for main courses always cold. Prices are reasonable and service ok.

Stopped here for a meal when we were on holiday. First class. Would recommend you try.

The view out to the harbour is amazing and especially on a sunny day it's hard not to want to move to Portpatrick. We brought our dog along and the staff at Harbour House were so nice to her during our dinner that we returned the next morning for a full Scottish breakfast. The staff couldn't have been nicer!

Great hotel. On the promenade. Good food, rooms were very cosy, lounge with coal fire. Dogs very welcome and no charge. Open late in evening and staff very helpful. Good views and coffee shop across the road that accepts dogs too. Enjoyed my stay.

Very nice staff. Lovely food. Very nice room, big, clean, a hint of luxury — lovely bed linen and toiletries. Public areas are very tired and badly need a refurbish. The entrance was very off-putting. It took me to see the room and have some food before I was convinced. The bell at check-in didn't work though it lit up so appeared to. I had to locate someone. Well worth a stay but not at all inviting on first internal impressions.

Lovely visit to the harbour House. Good price, modern clean room, well located and good service. Only misses out on 5 stars as the 'double' bed was two singles pushed together.

Good hotel at a good price. Great location. Staying in the "dolls house" and after a bit of a climb we found a huge modern family room. Staff very friendly and excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend The Harbour House.

Lobster risotto was fab as was the apple crumble with custard.

For the price you pay its a bargain. Good clean rooms, lovely breakfast, staff excellent nothing a problem. Most enjoyable 3 nights.

Owners are so accomodating Great wee spot.

Good food, fast friendly service and a great location.

Dried up steak pie … so dried up it was black and hard around the sides … fish greasy and stodgy inside the batter … chips frozen cheap ones so dry they had to be covered in sauce to be able to swallow… I sent my steak pie back only to be told all the pie was the same only to see it being served to the people next to us. Very poor this is a pub that relies on it's location rather that produce good food.

Lovely view from the conservatory. I wanted a Cajun chicken and pasta dish but was worried it would be too hot for me. The waitress said that as each individual dish is cooked on order she would ask the chef to make my Cajun chicken quite mild. My meal was delicious, as was my boyfriend's. Was def mild! Would def recommend a visit to Port Patrick and the surrounding area and of course, dinner at The Harbour Hotel xx.

Great place. Warm welcome from the employees, excellent food and brilliant position overlooking the harbour waterfront, makes this the ideal location to enjoy Portpatrick, also affectionately know locally as "The Port".

Lovely, friendly hotel. We stayed in room 4, it was clean, warm & very comfortable, with magnificent views. The staff really helpful & friendly. The bar/lounge had a welcoming atmosphere with a lovely open fire on a cold & winters night. Dinner & breakfast was delicious … Will definitely be back.

Would have given it a 5* except for poor reasons bar syaff.

Cosy local pub, good food and a decent pint.

Busy little place (always a good sign! ), but the staff coped brilliantly, food was excellent, salmon with cajun spices and thai rice and burger finished off with ice cream and panna cotta, all completely delicious! Highly recommended.

The location is perfect for a sea view, especially on a sunny day. There's always a friendly smiling member of staff to serve you, and are all happy to help.

The fish and chips was lovely.

We have been going for three years and love it — the food is great, the fire is cosy and they serve beer too — that's a triple whammy of awesomeness. Be sure to try the steak pie as it is more steak than pie. Also the macaroni is great and the surf in turf (when its in season) is worth visit alone. Lifeboat week is the yearly local festival — be sure to get in early for a seat ad it has the best view of the fireworks in the village. All in all, can't recommend more! Look forward to our next visit, Johnny & Kirsty.
