A great place to unwind. Large room with quality fit out. It was quiet. The food was good and the staff very helpful. The hotel is right next the the rail and tram lines that take you right into the centre of Edinburgh.

I have stayed in many hotels, and I can honestly say, the staff here are brilliant, so helpful and friendly. The hotel is immaculate. Food in restaurant is fantastic. Really can't fault the place.

Glad I chose this place. Nice property, near tram and train. Easily reachable from airport by tram. Polite staff, good breakfast and dinner options. Strongly recommend this place.

OK, so this is pretty much 'the usual' Premier Inn experience, but sometimes it's nice to know what to expect. Liked the location just minutes walk from the tram service that gives such a frequent service to the airport and to the city centre.

Perfectly located. Good parking. 50 yards from tram station to the centre of town. Friendly, quiet, good breakfast and Costa Coffee on site. Very good.

Superb location to the tram etc. Lovely staff however reception is automated at times which defeats the purpose of reception for me. Our room was in the new wing which was superb! We received a surprise gift in our room after a university interview which just made our stay. Again, lovely staff made the difference.

The hotel is amazingly easy to get to from the airport. One of the nicer premier Inn rooms I have stayed in. Staff are very welcoming, they very kindly kept my bag for me as I arrived way before check in.

Very good site, modern and with train station and tram very close. I recommend it totally for rest and quiet visit on public transport to the city.

Really good location. Though got woken up two mornings by housekeeping and the a/c is really loud. But besides that really clean and would stay again.

Fairly new Premier Inn beside Edinburgh Park Tram & train stop… ideal to visit the city without taking the car all the way. Interesting journey in the snow and a bit convoluted nearby among all the Financial Services Offices but good old satnav got us there. Perhaps some grit/salt in carpark would prevent falls on black ice?!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Very comfortable room, friendly front office and housekeeping staff who is always ready to help. This place is very close to the tram and train station; just hop off the station and a minute walk to the hotel. It takes about 30 mins from Princes Street to this place by tram. There is a shopping centre just opposite the tram station where there is a Tesco and other stores. Very convenient to pick up water and food. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to stay on their Edinburgh visit.

We cancelled the flight The Beast from the East and we stayed there. A very nice hotel with a first-rate kitchen.

Usual premier Inn, close the the Edinburgh Park Station. Place is in the middle of nowhere it seems. Hotel is clean and modern. You know what you get with a Premier Inn and this does what it says on the tin! It has a Thyme restaurant and this appears to be a new Thyme menu.

Good position, next to train station, tram station and well connected with the airport. Fantastic staff that always went the extra mile during this crazy 'beast from the east' storm, hitting Scotland for days now. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. This hotel misses the 5 stars on this review because the food served in the 'Thyme' hotel restaurant is consistently bad. Hop on a tram to the center and head to one of many great pubs.

A lovely place to stay. Close to tram line for both the Airport and City. Very comfortable. Rooms very quiet and facilities very clean. Will stay here again.

Room clean and as expected. Helpful staff, including in reception and bar/restaurant. Shame the wait for a table for dinner was so long (9th Jan — apparently there was a staff shortage) but once I had a table it was a great service from Abbie and others. Very attentive and hard working staff. A great location and free parking. Thank you all.

I think that this is one of the best Premier Inns that I have stayed in. Right beside Edinburgh Park Station which as a disabled person is perfect. Has a tram into the city centre right near the hotel. Rooms are comfy, food is good, service is good and it's good value for the price.

Nice and friendly staff, at the moment the hotel is being extended but it doesn't interfere with the running of the hotel. Nice and relax place to stay it has a bar and restaurant. The rooms are nice and clean with basic Wi-Fi in all rooms.

Good location (2 minutes' walk from the train station) and great price. Perfect if you don't mind getting the train into town. Room quality is what I'd expect from a premier inn — function over form, and it does this beautifully. A solid pick.

Very pleasant hotel situated in a handy location close to the Gyle shopping centre and tram/train stops. Staff polite, friendly and helpful. Hotel undergoing significant work on an extension but service unaffected. Will definitely stay here again, perhaps when down for another Scotland game.

Nice rooms hotel was being refurbished when we arrived. Tram stop to city centre 2 minutes away and only £3.60 return. Great buffet breakfast help yourself and all you can eat. Would stay again.

Good clean and comfortable room for our family with everything we needed for our overnight stay. Walking distance to the trams into central Edinburgh which is fantastic. Free parking is a bonus too.

Great location next to Edinburgh park station with handy and frequent trains and trams into Edinburgh or the airport and a shopping centre next door. When we were there work was being done on the hotel, such as putting in RFID keycards to replace the magnetic strip keycards, part of the hotel was in scaffolding and a building site next door. I hope it was that which caused the kitchen to be so small that you had to book a table and there was no bar meal option instead. The room was pretty decent, breakfast was standard and pleasant enough. I've never before encountered a check-in online process for a hotel. I did this and still there was a problem allocating the room to us (and to others) which was clearly down to the Russian sounding lady on the check-in desk who perhaps needed a training refresher that day but we were well looked after when this was pointed out to the manager.

Arrived at 18:30 to be told to book a table in the restaurant immediately. Earliest table was 20:15 as the kitchen was at capacity? When I got to my room no towels and was told by receiption that they were waiting on a delivery. They eventually turned up just before 8pm. Dinner in was mediocre to say the least. This hotel is in a perfect easy to get to location but it's management's needs to get things organised. The business traveller cannot expect to arrive and not be able to freshen up before dinner and then be turned away from the restaurant as they were "full"

Very handily placed hotel. Great links to the city centre with rail and tram links right on its doorstep. Currently has building works going but not too obtrusive.

Spend 6 nights here. The hotel & staff are very nice, but the rooms are a bit noisy. Had a bit trouble sleeping here because of the guests upstairs and doors slamming.

Fantastically placed for visiting Edinburgh and being outside the city. The venue is clean, smart, and — as per — the staff are lovely. Do book early as the venue seems popular with business travelers. We stopped here for two nights and took the train in to Edinburgh. There's plenty of buses and a tram link too. On the other side of the station (Edinburgh Park), there's a large retail park. This has a Tesco store, which is handy should you forget anything. There was building work going on when we visited in August 2017. This didn't affect our stay and by the look of things, they're extending the hotel.

A nice hotel. They do miss out on some of the basics though. Staff are friendly and very quick to respond to requests.

Not impressive room, but definitely cozy. Breakfast is the best ones I have seen in any other hotel I have stayed at. Swimming pool could be deeper, but hey, it's family friendly. Great place to stay at!

I was there for a Christmas night out. Unfortunately all of the food was well below average, clearly prepped days before. An absolute disappointment on what was actually a really good night. The majority of staff were ok, but a couple were quite rude! Although I had a good night, I definitely wouldn't be recommending this place to anyone. And I doubt I will return. Has so much potential but isn't using that to its best capability!

Very poor food, ordered steak that was approx 4oz instead of 8oz, so thin that my rare steak was well done — would have been more appropriate in a sandwich. When complaining it was ignored. Following evening restaurant half empty but no one could get a table for 90 mins. My only conclusion is the school leaver that does the cooking in the kitchen can only cope with 5 tables at a time. Lots of unhappy customers. Although the rooms are very well kept, this has to be the worst stay I've had at a premier Inn.

Gave a 1 star for one of the male staff who was very angry and verbal at us for ordering a meal / breakfast deal wrong. Won't be coming back there if that's how we are going to be treated/ talked to.

Excellent service. Very close to the station and this may be some inconvenience if you mind the tram and train noise.

Location is perfect with the train station next door which allowed us to get into Edinburgh center with in 10 minutes the only thing bad was it was to warm in the rooms and the air con was to loud to sleep with it on.

Good clean family room, with views of the trains and trams which the children enjoyed. Friendly staff. Breakfast was fine too. Recommended.

I stayed here for one night with my husband and my 3 year old after a visit to the zoo. The hotel is in the middle of a business park and to be honest I didn't really expect much from it but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. We checked in smoothly and made our way to our room on the 1st floor which was a good size for the 3 of us and was nice and clean. We had included dinner and breakfast with our stay and the food was lovely and the waiting staff in the restaurant very attentive. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel great, booking in was easy — usual standards BE VERY AWARE OF THE TYME RESTAURANT — food appalling and I sent the starter and maincourse back Garlic bread very stodgy and the replacement was just as bad I thought I would go for a safe bet — burger and chips. — BIG mistake Sent it back and went hungry WORST EXPERIENCE AT A PREMIER INN RESTAURANT Don't get me wrong, I Love my food, and the company were footing the bill, but this was rubbish. Only saving grace was that the beer was good.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and I would thoroughly recommend it. Spotless, welcoming, friendly staff and everything you need for an overnight stay. We had a wonderful breakfast. There was so much too choose from. Very convenient for train and trams. Great location for travelling to Waverley, only two stops on train. WE really hope to return soon for another visit.

We stayed here with our 2 and 6 year old girls for a few days exploring Edinburgh. It is a perfect location. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable with the air conditioning making the atmosphere in the rooms ideal. The hotel is across the road from tram, train and bus stops making transport into the city centre very easy. We used the tram which cost less than £8 return for the 4 of us which we thought was excellent value. We noticed no noise from the train/ trams in our room. We will visit Edinburgh again and will not waste any time trying to find a hotel nearer to the city centre.

I feel there is very little reason to write a review on chain hotels. It’s like writing a review on McDonalds. Needless to say this Premier Inn was like every other Premier Inn. It delivered everything I expected including their ridiculously stingy 30 minutes of free internet. Location wise however was good, and once the tram network opens will have easy access to the airport. They offer free parking, yet poorly designed, as for some reason they have decided to block all pedestrian access across the car park so you have to walk along the road. My biggest gripe is the extractor fan in the bathroom was clogged, never been cleaned (though if you are a regular at Premier Inn's, this is typical across the group), along with the awkward placement of the liquid soap in the shower (right under the shower head so it sprays on it when you need to pump out soap (again seems to be a typical across the group). One minor positive is that we arrived late on a Saturday Night (around 10:30pm) and wanted a drink before heading to bed. Unfortunately the bar was closing (i think we got there around 11pm). One of the bar staff was kind enough to pour us a drink before he closed for the night. Otherwise if you need a place to sleep, Premier Inn offers all the basic comforts at reasonable (yet slightly high) price tag.

It's a Premier Inn, you know what you get at a Premier Inn and this one does Premier Inn very well. Nice atmosphere and the standard food is well prepared and presented. Clean and new it's right next to Edinburgh Park station and not much else.

Great room and service, especially from the receptionist when I first arrived and from the waiting staff in the restaurant. They were incredibly prompt and courteous, the food was delicious and there was just the right amount. The entire experience was very pleasant. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very well situation you can take the train to go tow Edinburgh. The bed was not very hard and you can fall asleep. Paid Wi-Fi but at least you can surf for free 30 minutes. The breakfast is not very good (not too much things) and maybe too expensive for the quality.

From the moment I stepped foot in the hotel I felt welcomed. The room was clean and well equipped. I went down to the restaurant and the manager and other staff were clearly passionate about their service and the food was excellent. Looking forward to breakfast.
