Stayed at Ashtree House Hotel for a few day, I think 2012 or 2013

The attitude of everyone there of working to the same ends made it a pleasurable experience. The dining and sitting rooms are very pleasant spaces and our photos reflect the lovely atmospheric surroundings. The national mascot fire bear that had his 21st there was welcomed just like one of us. Thanks.

Beautiful character hotel with nice staff and lovely food. Will be returning next month when I’m back in Glasgow.

Paisley, Aug 27-28-29 Nice stay at Ashtree House Hotel in Paisley near Glasgow Airport. Walking distance to city museum and Sma-Shots Cottages museum, preserved textile workers' homes (worth seeing), and local shops. Ashtree House has restaurant for afternoon coffee or drinks as well as the breakfast. Ticky to arrive to via GPS due to pedestrian only streets. Suggest setting satellite guidance for 46 High Street, which is an excellent Rotiserie Chicken take-away on the nearest corner.

Very welcoming, very comfortable bed and a large room. We only booked one night before our flight home but would definitely stay here again.

We had great conversations with the staff. They gave us a suggestion for where to take a walk after dinner. The food was great at the restaurant on site. Clean rooms. They even arranged transportation for us to the airport the next morning. Would stay again!

I will stay NO WHERE ELSE! Maureen and Tom Stewart are Royals as far us Royal Stewarts can see No matter the lineage they are family to us! My sister Carol and I have been fortunate enough to have stayed here twice! Once in 2015 and back in July 2017! We arrived after a 12 day tour through the Outer Hebrides and wanted to end it at "home" We arrived on my birthday July 16th and were greeted by Maureen! She had rolled out the red carpet welcoming us "home"! The place is lovely ornate and welcoming. So beautiful and warm. The food is fabulous and I have not have a "bad" meal there EVER! The staff in house are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. I did not have a phone and Maureen allowed me to call the U. S. To speak with family! I will never stay anywhere else. Although, I understand the new hotel near the river will be ready soon. It will be hard to decide. Nope. I'm coming back to the Ashtree House!

I stayed here 2 summers ago, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ladies there are so kind and hospitable. I felt as though they genuinely cared. The room was so quaint and nice, and the breakfast was also very nice. I hope to stay here again someday, if I have the chance. Thank you for creating such a wonderful, homey place!

What a great way to start our vacation in Scotland, a quaint place to stay with great staff, our Scottish Breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous hotel. Massive room with the most comfiest bed ever. Breakfast was alright but nothing special really. Very peaceful hideaway with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of stairs, so tell them when you book if that will be an issue.

This is not a review of the hotel as such. I did not stay there as they were full. When stranded in Paisley the staff did their best to find another hotel in the area for me. As all were full due to Glasgow Airport closing during a snow storm, they gave me a phone charger and let me get my bearings and a quick boost before heading off to an AirBnB (their idea). Thank you Ladies, I really appreciate your help!

Lovely room, amazing bed, really friendly team. 4 stars because the breakfast was okay but not as good as the rest of the standards set by the hotel. Would stay here again though!

Very welcoming staff and experience all round. Ideally positioned for all the facilities that Paisley and Glasgow have to offer. Rooms so comfortable and homely.

Great atmosphere, Scottish flair like a castle. It's a little old, but that's how it should be. Technically all Good. Clean, No Complaints.

I have such high praise for your lovely, very comfortable establishment. From the minute I arrived until, 5 days later, sadly, I left, I felt as if I was home. Maureen and Tom, you are both such warm, kind people. Sarah, Emma, Anne and the sweet little lady who so patiently served our delicious breakfast each morning, you were all so friendly. An incredible hotel, perfect in every way.
Beautiful location, ideal spot that's as central as you can wish for yet still gives you the seclusion and privacy you need with stunning grounds.
We cannot thank you all enough, you made us feel at home, like friends and so so welcome.

This hotel is hidden away right behind a very active shopping district. The whole hotel has an old country house flair but features modern amenities. Our room was at the very top under the roof, accessible via a very narrow steep staircase only. Probably problematic for older patrons. The included breakfast is very minimal. Cooked breakfast needs to be ordered separately.

If your staying around Paisley this is the best place to stay. The staff are fantastic rooms lovely beds very comfy. Cant recomend enough. Well done for a perfect stay. Wont stay anywhere else in future.

Quaint old (1795) mansion converted into a 15 room hotel. Gorgeous old wooden casings, stone or marble fireplace mantles, modern washroom/shower facilities & electrics. Owners are wonderful hosts! A daily, Continental breakfast with hot porridge, tea or coffee OR scrambled or 2 Boiled eggs, OR bacon, with toast are available at extra cost. Afternoon tea is served daily 10:00am to 3:00pm (Teas, coffee, soft drinks, & bottled water are available) Menu for evening dinner (6:30-8:15) is in photos. note: 1) there is no lunch service! 2) there is no dinner service on saturday or sunday! please see photos for more info. Only Room 8 is on ground floor. All others involve climbing stairs to upper floor! Entrance to building requires climbing 8 steps. Very nice, quiet & quaint. Short walk to train, buses, shopping & restaurants.

Good potential, unfortunately not properly managed… it’s a pity… GOOD POINTS Typical grey stone house, CONVENIENT FOR GLASGOW AIRPORT (15 minutes drive), although not in a really nice part of the town. The MANAGEMENT is entrusted to a very KIND AND HELPFUL LADY, even if a bit “phantasmic”… like nobody was there… Other good points: huge room, with (one) big and good bed, shower, bathtub (quite hard to go in, because of its height)! MINUS POINTS The house appears a bit let down, nearly NEGLECTED… — SOME PARTS of it, the less visible ones, are MESSY AND UGLY — The wall around the window along the stairs is broken, like a HALF-DOWN RENOVATION — The window in our bathroom was very hard to close, and once done, it was impossible to reopen it — In the bedroom, JUST ONE OF THE HEATERS WAS ON; while IN THE BATHROOM, NONE! — One of the two beds was just a SOFA BED (despite the huge space in the room), with pretty THIN MATTRESS, and the METALLIC STRUCTURE which STICKING OUT was very uncomfortable when getting out of bed — One the (big) SHUTTERS in our room was OUT OF THE HINGE… potentially dangerous when moving it! There doesn’t seem to be any design leitmotiv… and the restaurant room especially, is quite too dark and with an incomprehensible mix of colours… everything but welcoming. BREAKFAST (except for cooked food, that we didn’t taste) : MINIMUM REQUIRED, and with WAITRESSES, NOT MUCH FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO HELP.

Love will Georgian building with up-to-date rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Quality all round, fantastic service, a real jewel in Paisley's crown. I would recommend anyone coming to stay in the town or visiting the area stays at Ashtree House Hotel. Tom and his family are genuine and very warm and inviting people.
