The hill to the sleep huts is not suitable for people who struggle to walk or are heavily pregnant. They class it as a drive which is not true. The rooms are like cells with no privacy unless you sit with your curtains shut all day which means you don’t get to see the view. If someone goes to the toilet a few rooms down you will hear it. It someone shuts their door your whole room will shake. I also contacted the owner before I booked about Wi-Fi and was told there was Wi-Fi. It wasn’t the best. We were told on the Tuesday the Wi-Fi was going to get fixed then we were told definitely on the Wednesday, it didn’t. By the Wednesday I had had enough and left. I wish I left as soon as I arrived! It wasn’t worth the money. Don’t stay here. My tent has more comfort.

Good base, comfortable bedroom, but no drying room and cookhouse extremely cold and needs work. Rooms very comfortable and warm. Really warm. We put heater on thinking it was chilly – then turned it off! Shower lovely and hot. Nice self-contained rooms. Nice veranda to walk along and leave boots/bikes on. Ideally situated for Brodick and east coast. Self-catering kitchen available. On/off Wi-Fi. Provide map of site in bedroom – only discovered bike storage on 2nd morning. Only discovered cookhouse as went onto website after arriving to confirm if my thoughts were correct and I had remembered reading about a kitchen as it is really not obviously. Went hunting and found it! Cookhouse (containing kitchen, bathroom, washing up area and dining room) needs loads more heaters. Only one (plug in electric heater). Extremely cold in cookhouse. Could see breath was so cold. Main door doesn’t close properly – fixing this will help with heat. Put some blinds up to help keep heat in. Cookhouse separate from bedrooms. In very odd building. Obviously old lodge and instead of redesigning and maximising space kept bathroom (with bath), kept rads (but took hot water boiler out). Wouldn’t use bath as extremely cold and the toilet has no toilet seat. Very odd bathroom obviously cleaned as we saw fresh towels but the rest was a cold half done room. Could make more room and warmer. Somewhere to meet people.
