Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here today. Food was amazing, beautiful setting & very reasonably priced. Definitely be back very soon.

We arrived, as per our 3 night booking, just after 3pm to the great surprise, or possibly horror of the lovely lady who seemed to be in charge. She informed us our room, a superior king sized room with garden terrace, wasn't ready so we waited on the terrace until she appeared with a swipe card for a room. We found or room on the first floor. It contained the smallest double bed I've ever seen, was approx 8ft square at most, had two extremely cheap pillows and one towel. I returned to reception to inform them that we had the wrong room to discover the lady had been replaced by an extremely stressed young man who apologised and said our room hadn't been cleaned but we would get the correct room for the remaining 2 nights and we could have a free evening meal to compensate, Fair enough. We returned to the bar at 6pm for our dinner where two other couples were trying to find a member of staff. We searched the premises but could find no — one. A gentleman had tried to check in just before this and had been told there were no rooms, he had produced his booking conformation and the young man I'd spoken to earlier had "gone outside to phone his boss" and was never seen again. Eventually, about an hour later we heard a noise coming from the kitchen where we found the chef who kindly cooked a lovely meal for ourselves and another couple who were locked out of their room (swipe card locking, and it had been deactivated).

This 'Lodge' Hotel was a great location for our walking weekend. The rooms were functional with flat screen freesat TV and was spacious with normal shower etc & facilities. The outside area down to the river was a surprise and treat, with plenty of outside sitting. All the staff which I'll not name but were excellent from front of house, the chef, and the lovely local girl on duty were all very friendly. Highly recommended this place as a stop over for 1 or 2 nights on your journey in what is a part of scotland to explore the local walks hills etc.

We had our son’s wedding here this weekend. I could not fault it! Carlos and his staff were absolutely fantastic. The venue was stunning, canopies on arrival were fresh and tasty, the meal was delicious and served quickly to our 80+ guests piping hot, as were the ‘bacon rolls’ at the evening reception. Carlos was extremely attentive and couldn’t do enough to help us. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Brander Lodge as a wedding venue! 10/10

Lovely setting and location, but was disappointed by the food, menu very restricted and lack of availability on some of the choices on the menu, food quality was not what was expected looking at the reviews, beef fatty and dessert burnt black, advised staff of dissatisfaction, but no reaction. No food served during the day as they didn’t have a chef. Room not serviced daily due to Covid restrictions (strange). Inaccuracy on final bill which was adjusted. Overall wouldn’t recommend or return.

Very disappointing. Where do I start! Room booked a room with king sized bed more like a 4 ft 6 inc. Only two very soft pillows. Bathroom small. One bath and one smaller towel for me and husband to share. Dining experience left a lot to desire Breakfast very poor. At £134 We expected a better service. I would not recommend this hotel to family or friends. Avoid.

Absolutely could not fault this gorgeous hotel one bit. Right from the start, had a call from Daniel confirming our stay and estimated arrival time earlier in the day, even checked up on us later on when we were later than expected due to traffic/road works etc, and was so lovely and welcoming when we eventually made it — even allowed me to purchase a drink from the bar even though the hotel was technically closed, which was definitely needed after a stressful day! Had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time, and the perfect breakfast. I wish we never had to leave! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Times are different and rating anywhere right now as places start to reopen would'nt always be fair. However there were two star elements to our stay at The Brander Lodge this weekend. The first was the food. The steak, medium rare, was to die for but the star 🌟 of the show was Daniel who I assume was the Manager. The guy was everywhere, tending bar, waiting the restaurant and servicing rooms. Extremely personable and a credit to Brander Lodge.

Just the most fabulous wee place. Closed the now. But it will rise, Phoenix like!

Great place for a meal with friends, or just a coffee sat on a comfy sofa. Staff very friendly and informative.

Amazing hotel and staff! Home away from home and will be staying again without hesitation. Food is superb and rooms are spotless. Love it here and will see you all again soon.

Stopped by chance for dinner on trip back from Oban, delicious food at very reasonable prices, great atmosphere with service to match. Could not fault anything except the apple crumble without custard. Look forward to staying in the future.

David and his team of absolutely wonderful staff cannot do enough for you during your stay.
The place is spotlessly clean and so comfortable.
The food is very good value for money and absolutely delicious.
My room was both spacious and well presented, cleaned and tidied daily.
The bed was super comfortable.
I totally recommend the brander lodge and it’s staff.

Just home from a lovely meal for my Aunts birthday.
The staff couldn’t do enough and were very attentive; and the food was superb! We had Thai Green Curry and Steak and Guinness Pie — yum!
The dining room is spacious and tastefully decorated with a beautiful wall to wall scenic view of the outdoor environment.
Have been twice before with my husband and meant to review, but didn’t.
A special mention to Stuart, who waited our table. A lovely young man with a good sense of humour; very good at his job and a match for my husband! Will be back soon…

Wonderfull hotel. We stayed with a group of masterstudents for our studies. Boys in the chalet, girls in the nice hotelrooms. The chalet was great! Big space, big rooms and beds, everything available for your holidays. The owner and the barmen of the hotel are really kind. We had a good talk about kilts, playing tennis by yourself and had a big laugh all time long. Would really recomment the place and will come back in the future!

Beautiful location, super friendly staff, the food is AMAZING and the super king bed is just what was needed after a long drive. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again!

We had been thinking of trying Brander Lodge for a while. So glad we did. The food and service was outstanding! From the moment we arrived David and his staff made us feel like old friends — even though this was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last! Don't pass by this wee gem in the Highlands… Can't wait to go back!

We got married at the Brander Lodge on Saturday 16th December 2017. The day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. An absolutely stunning hotel in a stunning setting with a stunning backdrop. We were lucky enough to have decent enough weather for outdoor pictures in the gorgeous garden while our guests gathered in the warm and welcoming bar. We then went on to have a delicious meal — exactly what we wanted. The tables looked splendid and the decor overall was lovely. Dave and his team are absolutely fantastic. The waiting staff were so efficient and all the staff made us feel really at ease — they went above and beyond to make sure our guests every needs were catered for. Our day was indeed perfect and Dave played a massive part in making it so. He went the extra mile to ensure we were 100% happy with every little detail. My husband and I are eternally grateful for the beautiful start to our married life and cannot recommend the Brander Lodge highly enough. I wish we could do it all over again.

Always have a great evening whenever we go! Bar and waiting staff are always polite and smiley, and food is always amazing! The owner is usually about too and is always up for a chat! Really lovely place, would definitely recommend.

This hotel is a real gem in Argyll and Bute area. Recently renovated, it would be really difficult to find any faults. Add the stunning scenery and warm, friendly staff to the mix and you have your ideal stop right there. I also had an excellent lasagna there and spent a couple of great evenings by the fireplace in their cosy bar.

Food is excellent. Hotel rooms almost as good as the food. Staff friendly and very helpful.

This hotel is located in a tranquil surrounding. The en-suite is a walk-in shower room. The room has a coffee machine and the bed is very comfortable. There is a set of French doors that leads out into the woodland at the back of the hotel. If you need to depart early, the hotel staff is happy to provide breakfast before the stated time. There are plenty of space to park at the front of the hotel. The hotel also provides bath robes for the comfort of their guests.

Lovely location. We had a king double room which was spacious and very clean. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful — nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious! Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel after recent renovation, restaurant for breakfast and dinner generally good, but a bit unsteady performance over several days.

Lovely location. Place is very nice inside. Staff were very friendly. The weather was nice so the kids could go outside and play on the slide and run around on the grass. The food was very nice, couple of things were differently described on menu than what we got though. The chocolate brownie was absolutely amazing!

David is a great host, the newly refurbished premises are fantastic, and the food is great. Forget the green welly shop when heading to oban, 15 min down road is brander Lodge.

Beautifully refurbished hotel in a gorgeous location but what really made my stay were the staff and the food! The owner, the bar and waiting staff, the chef, everyone there was kind and pleasant and always had time to help. I had the best steak in a long time here last night, I let the chef do what he wanted to it and he cooked it to perfection, that was after a delicious haggis starter with whisky sauce too!

Relaxing and warm welcome, this hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food was home cooked and amenities were great.
