Very nice and good value. The breakfast for £4 is exceptional.

Having been here a few times the food is normally nice, but we have been tonight and it was very dissappointing, waited nearly an hour for food then when it came half of it had to be sent back due to being cold. Wont be visiting again, feel like I have just wasted £35.

Fab atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had my sons 6th birthday party here, all of the staff were outstanding and helped me so much throughout the party! Food was amazing! 100% recommend xx.

Attended an adoption party/celebration last week. We had hired the static bus for the occasion. The pre ordered food was really good and the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Wonderful ambiance and great location by the river. All the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice hotel. Nice location. Lovely staff. Food was great, American Diner. Very squeeky floors on 1st floor though, great place though, would like to stay again.

Pretty decent for a good night's sleep. The hallways are quite loud but the bed comfy. Bar by the river is lovely. Great for kids with the outside area and bus.

Booked for 20 people to celebrate an 89th birthday which happened to fall on world cup semi finals night, however the service was still good even though it was very busy. The staff were so attentive & they couldn't do enough to make sure everyone was having a good night. The food as usual was beautiful & plentiful for the prices they charge. Would highly recommend a visit.

Fabulous day for our sons Christening at The Rivers last Sunday, we didn’t have to worry about a thing as Chris, Michelle & the team took care of every last thing. Great value room decor & kids entertainment too via Michelle. Thanks so much! Lots of our guests commented on what a fab venue it was. We all felt really looked after. All the staff are a credit to the place; 100% recommend!

Had an amazing night the "World cup widows" night for a friends hen do. Amazing views of the river, great service and fab entertainment provided. Good cocktail jug deals and food was lovely (curry bit too spicy though). Will definitely return maybe with family to try the American restaurant as kids will love the converted bus and views. Well worth coming from Stanley to this hidden gem.

Good price, food was good staff were extra friendly. Breakfast was excellent value.

Stayed at the Rivers Hotel while on a girly night away. Rooms were basic but well presented. Food in the restaurant is amazing for the price. Outside seating area overlooking the water was a beautiful place to sit and relax with a glass of wine. Staff were amazing and really helpful. Special mention to wee Joshy who had us all in stitches. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling for a night in Newcastle. Only £6.80 in taxi to nightlife. Could not fault the hotel.

Visited diner for lunch. Great food excellent value for money. Well worth a visit.

Just had some lunch and it was absolutely lovely. The staff are super friendly, food is cheap, the view is good, music is on point… and it’s amazing the staff are all autistic which is something you don’t see everyday, will definitely be coming back.

We have just had a 2 night's stay at the River's Hotel and WOW, it's one of the best places we have stayed. The manager & staff are friendly, polite and they can't do enough for you. The room we had was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the diner the portions are huge and the prices are low, plus the views over the river are an added bonus.
What really makes the River's Hotel stand out is the support they give to the young adults that need the extra help and training with a hands on approach to working in the hospitality industry. They are a credit to themselves… Well done!
We can't wait until our next stay and if we could have given you more than 5 stars we would… Keep up the good work you are all amazing.

Food was lovely service was good & people were friendly.

Rooms immaculate and clean. Good location by the river so quiet and relaxing. Only let down by the guy behind the bar who was more interested in texting on his phone. When asked if there was food available he replied "huh not at this time of night" still looking at his phone. Probably best really as he was scruffy and looked like he could do with a good wash and scrub also maybe a course in hospitality and customer care.

Beautiful view, really nice staff and even better room. Could not fault. Definitely recommend :)
