The staff are good friendly and food isn't bad. Decent night out especially In groups.

Waited 20 minutes before our order was taken. I had salad with pulled chicken. The chicken was very dry. I asked for salad dressing and was offered salad cream. The giant couscous was not pleasant. We asked to order more drinks and we're told we had to go to the bar. Really not the best experience.

Went in expecting a general stereotypical 'ping' pub with half mediocre food and poor service. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised that the food was clearly freshly cooked and had not been microwaved. My wife and pur grandparents thoroughly enjoyed the food. The fairies were clean and adequate and the only reservation I have was that the staff were not poor in their service, they were almost too attentive… asking how the meal was before we had had a chance to actually even eat anything and then repeatedly asking throughout the meal. But other than that a very good meal and an enjoyed visit.

Very good service from all the staff. Food excellent recommended the Fallow Field for dinning or just popping in for a drink with friends.

Very disappointed with our visit. Steak ordered "medium rare" came out "well done" with no sign of any pink meat. It was returned to the kitchen along with other meals that had cold items (chips, burgers, onion rings etc. ), we were then told that the chef refused to provide fresh meals. So we ended up with no food for 5 out of 7 people. Have never experienced this sort of service before and will not be returning to this restaurant in future. Obviously here the motto is "The chef is always right not the customer".

Great hotel when it first opened but has gone down hill now. Reception in the hotel was better than in the pub — individual check ins for multiple rooms is a pain in the arse. Towel left in the back of bathroom door from previous occupant and light broken in bathroom also. I don’t know why hotels seem to always have deliveries first thing but the delivery truck for the pub turned up early and he left the fridge unit running so I’m woken up before I want to. The sleep well part of the hotel logo then completely dashed by a slack employee. Food in pub big portions and decent quality.

Great food, reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff. Ordered cowboy steak from the specials list. Was cooked to perfection. Good quality steak too. Ample free parking and easy to get to. Will definitely be back.

The meals were lovely and such a surprise to get a 20% off your next food bill voucher and even more of a surprise to get the price of one of our meals taken off the bill because it was mother day! How lovely was that. Well done Fallow Field :) x.

I've had the most wonderful mothers day Breakfast All my family round me a fantastic breakfast I felt fantastic. My waiter CHRIS was so lovley it was like having a 3rd grandson waiting on me It was a wonderful experience. Good work Sarah and Dave Jan x.

Great place for overnight stay at the inn. Good, quiet and clean room in an easy to reach location. Staff are really helpful and provide a great service. Pub is equally good although as with most places service does suffer a little when the place is rammed with people. Overall though a great place either for food, drink or for a stay at the inn.

Went for daughters birthday. Wide range of food and drink options, friendly staff no pressure to order within certain time frame or leave afterwards. Kids area clean and tidy as was rest of establishment.

Then to top it off my food looked like it was the reminder of what someone had half eaten (chicken tacos, that were actually 3 chicken tortillas with a skewer pushed through! ) and the katsu curry my mom ordered had two really long hairs in it. Took my meal off the bill and took 20% off for moms. Too many staff not trained to cope with a busy spell. If they need to know what nights they're going to be busy so they can arrange more staff what point is there at running an establishment that serves food? You have to be ready for walk ins, even though we had prior booked a table of 4 adults and 4 children; there were people who walked in after us being served their meals before us. I managed to count most of the front of house staff and there were approximately 9 staff working the bar aswell as waiting on. Very very VERY poor. I don't ask for a lot when I go out for a meal, just clean cutlery and to be served something like what the menu shows you. That's the main reason you order that item.

Really nice place, last minute destination for a meal out but well worth it. Thursday night steak night with a free bottle of wine with 2 people dining. Unfortunately waitress didn't tell us this as we didn't know till after we had ordered food and bought drinks. But fair play to the barman who pointed it out and gave us a bottle to go. Will definetely be going back at some point to try out their chicken dishes.

Stayed at the hotel attached to this place. Rooms are great. Customer service is really good. Good choice with breakfast.

We had Christmas dinner at the fallow field we loved it and we'll being going back there next year great service and great food x.

Can't fault the service the food was very good and the service was excellent. The only thing that I personally would complain about is as the driver not drinking my orange juice was more expensive than an alcoholic drink which to me doesn't seem right.

Love this pub; all staff are friendly and helpful. Danii is especially helpful and always has a smile. It's clean and the food is excellent and far better than the other pub (of the same chain) a few miles away.

Very disorganised, the service is ridiculously slow and the food is average at best! Definitely wouldn't go back.

We tried it for the first time and found the staff attentive, the room spacious and clean and the food good. We enjoyed it.

My girlfriend and I are regulars here, as it's one of the few places that can cook a rare rib-eye steak well. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere make The Fallow Field our local favourite.

A warm inviting atmosphere with friendly staff and good service. The food's tasty, but the menu doesn't have as much variety as other similar gastro pubs as there are fewer vegetarian mains.

Great service. Great food. Cozy feel. Family dinner here two consecutive nights. Our preferred place when in Telford!

Sadly not good this tine. They mixed the order up firstly, meaning that my wife had her meal 10 mins before me. Her onion rings were cremated and the steaks not a patch on the usual taste we have come to expect. In fairness, they did reduce our bill by taking off the drinks and it was the first poor experience in four visits as usually the food is first class.

Staff were lovely and the breakfasts were delicious. Hotel is very clean and to a good standard. The only thing that let us down was the noise of some guests blaring music from their cars and drinking alcohol by them at all hours of the night. The windows from some of the rooms are by the car park which makes the noise level a bit much. Especially when trying to settle a baby. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars.

4 Days here. Hotel first class, probably the best around for this type of hotel. Rooms are perfect. Restaurant also very good, the usual high standards of the Marston group. Staff very efficient and helpful. Kept beautifully clean, certainly well managed. Highly recommend. Thanks for a memorable time. Oh yes Restaurant menus good, well presented dishes, excellent food. Wife a retired chef and was overall very impressed.

We went for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday 2017 as I didn't want to cook at home. There were three of us. The starters were horrible but the main was worse. I had pork leg that looked and tasted like turkey. The vegetables were like slops. The cauliflower cheese tasted sour and rancid and the leeks were all sloppy. The red cabbage was not fresh at all. The other two in the party had the chicken and chose a side of pigs in blankets. The chicken and the pigs in blankets were not cooked properly. We also had the Yorkshire pudding which was a good size but it was wet looking and soft and didn't taste nice. We did explain all this to the waiter and we were given 10% off our meal but really it was inedible so I feel it should have been free. We had dessert as well, which was nice but by that stage it was too late. I would never go back there again. The staff were friendly but the chef needs sorting out.

When this place first opend I went here with some. Let me say. Some more colourfull members of the community. A few visible tattoos on the neck. We wanted Sunday lunch but was told they were full. My friends said ok but I stayed and said it did not look full. To which a family walked in and got a table straight away. I was disgusted at how we were judged. I said I would never go back. A few months back I took my family there. I'll be honest it was pretty good food but the staff were stressed out. A good meal never the less. I took my children in for a drink one Friday evening. I ordered a lager and two cokes. The gas was flat on the coke I was told. I was told to take a seat and the drinks would be brought over. After 25 minutes the drinks were finally brought over. By this time I'd already got two replacements for free as it's not fair to keep young children waiting. The cokes I got were flat and so we're the originals when they were finally brought over. Nothing to shout about pub although it's clean. I will give it a low mark on customer service.

Had to wait ages. Fiery pasta sauce and was told that it was OK. 7 year old and myself disagreed, especially since this was for kids. Replaced but with same sauce so changed the entire meal which put us all out. Clean surroundings and friendly staff.

We chose Fallow Field for a family weekend break in Shropshire looking for good value for money and a proper family room. The hotel was easy to find and the check-in friendly and efficient. Our room was modern, clean and had proper beds for the children, not just a sofa bed so all great. Although reception was unable to book a table for us for dinner at the restaurant as it was clearly popular and busy we had a chance to go there for breakfast the next morning and again we had good food and enough choice to keep everyone well fed and happy. Definitely a holiday I would do again and given the exceptionally good value for money with a family room and breakfast all included we are already looking for other locations around the country to repeat the experience.

Really enjoyed the whole experience, the food, staff and atmosphere here are all top notch. Seating inside and out, younger children area and little play area to keep them busy and quiet. Nice selection of food and drink and very well priced. Food is extremely good and would highly recommend it to everyone of all ages and group sizes. Staff very helpful and attentive but not pestering, the perfect combo.

Been here several times, each time the service isn't the best, very slow to be seated, served and to bring the bill afterwards. The food here is very good, always cooked how you like and very enjoyable. Price is more on the higher end but for the food worth it, just the service lets it down, maybe worth hiring a few extra staff as seem under staffed with waiters.
