Well run town centre bar hotel with own car park. Bar meals and restaurant some rooms a little dated but clean and on suite with facilities. And meeting rooms. Some times bar meals can be a bit slow. Accommodation at reasonable price friendly helpfull staff.

Nice hotel rooms, spacious bathroom but massively understaffed and no-one seems happy to be working there. Breakfast was not good. Tables not cleared, had to wait half an hour to order and when it finally arrived there was parts of the order missing from the plate, wrong order of eggs and egg shell found in the food. Lunch the previous day was well cooked. Not sure if the hotel is worth the price.

Nice place to stay with a good restaurant. Breakfast could start a little earlier though, for those that need to get away. Not a complaint though.

Nice place to stay. Supposed to be scary. Read the leaflet regarding ghosts. Wasn't scared. Stayed 3 nights and slept like a baby with no ghostly happenings.

Needs a referbish, staff friendly, breakfast ok.

Central location, nice sized rooms. A bit dated and the breakfast wasn't fabulous. Overall a decent place for an overnight stay.

Friendly bar in the hotel, but seriously needs refurbished completely top to toe, to drag it into the 21st century.

The Bell Hotel is a very interesting building, the architecture is very spread out but each section feels dedicated to its reason for being there. The bar is pleasant and has a rustic feel, there's an offshoot dining area. The reception leads to toilets and conference rooms with the stairs providing access to the hotel rooms. At the back of the building is the main dining area. All the staff appear pleasant and willing to provide help. Certainly a reasonable place to stay and right by the river.

Brilliant place to visit staff friendly and polite, the manager should try and improve the place quite a bit, the other staff are very excellent and do there best to run the bell hotel, I do feel the management is very poor.

Room was ok. Clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi but won't work in the room, staff said it was an issue but couldn't do anything about it due to the server. Continued to drop out even in the lounge area. Breakfast was bland and average. Overall not a great stay. Doubt I will return.

Bar service is very poor. Staff lack concentration and education on bar service. Very quiet so I'm presume the lack of customers is due to lack of staff quality and presentation of bar is of poor decoration quality.

An interesting place with a lot of history behind it and friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

Good service with clean comfortable room. Good value for money and good breakfast. No complaints.

This once nice hotel is now a bit dated and in need of some TLC. The rooms are a nice size and have very comfortable beds, but the plumbing and bathroom facilities need a big upgrade to bring them up to modern standards. Our toilet broke twice in one day failing to flush. We had an inclusive breakfast, but due to a leak from the plumbing all cooked breakfasts where off. This left us with cereals and pastries, which were nice, but a big disappointment. The coffee was cold. Had this been my first stay here I would not return. However, the last time I was here was a much better experience. Can't fault the staff, they are friendly and helpful. We may be back in future and hope to see improvement.

Excellent location, tired accommodation, not the cleanest rooms. Service excellent with lovely staff.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds, clean linen. Breakfast great with good choice. Professional staff. However hotel a little tired and in places scruffy.

Popped in one lunch time for a burger and a pint. Can't fault the decor or the food and drink although maybe a little pricey for some. There was a small delay when ordering at the bar but the meal arrived very promptly and was served with a smile. I would definitely return again when next in Thetford.

Food was fantastic and very well priced, it was also great service with a smile!
