Horrible place and staff. My friend was discriminated against in such a horrible way. The manger had a personal problem with him. He didnt do anything wrong but yet the manger bold faced lied about him and had him banned for a year beware to all if they do simply like you they will bann you bullying and discrimination is not nice and I hate to see this kind of behavior from youth hostels with out a bit of proof he was banned just because the manger didnt like him no other reason then was bullied.

Had a fantastic weekend in yha Liverpool rooms large clean food good very secure staff better than any hotel iv stayed in would highly recommend yha and would definitely stay again x.

Well placed for the Echo Arena, Bold St, Duke St, Chinatown and Liverpool One. Great modern build with parking, bar, dining room and well appointed family rooms with ensuite. Great value too! Fab for pre-Christmas shopping.

This was my first time staying at a hostel and I would definitely go back the atmosphere was really relaxed and the staff were friendly and helpful. However I would say the bathrooms could have be cleaner their was a lot of hair in one of the showers on the Thursday when we checked in and it was still their come Saturday morning.

As YHA hostels go this is typical of their city hostels. It is really well situated just across from the ACC, Albert Dock and it is not too far to walk from Lime St station or city centre attractions like Cavern club. It was surprisingly and impressively quiet given it's main road location. Breakfast is well worth it too. Like the room door decorations (see photos).

Comfortable bed on a clean room. Central enough to where we wanted to be. Great breakfast. Can't fault place. Hen do.

This was our first hostel experience. We usually opt for hotels. The problem with hotels of course is family rooms usually accommodate a couple and two children. We have three children. We all stayed at YHA Liverpool in a private room with its own shower cubicle and toilet. It had three bunk beds so could accommodate 6 people so ample space for the five of us. The room was large. Everything was comfortable and the bunk beds were an adventure for the little ones and they did not want to leave. We are a Muslim family so really appreciated the fact that we could have our own space to offer prayers in the room and take our own food rather than have to be selective due to our dietary requirements. The dining room was superb and the shared kitchen was spacious with excellent cooking facilities. The staff were very nice and helpful. On check in when I asked if we could use the dining room to eat our own food we were told to just make ourselves at home and use whatever facilities we needed included to eat our own food. Excellent attitude from staff. The kids made a mess at breakfast time so I went looking for a dustpan and brush and was just told that it would all be cleaned and I shouldn’t worry about it. There was space for sitting outside. There was no issue with noise and everything was very clean. Excellent value for money. We will stay at YHA hostels again.

This place is perfect for the price! Staff was super outgoing, guy at the front desk talked to me for ages about dinner recommendations, cool sites to see, and helped me navigate to a work interview I was in town for. The rooms were clean and quiet and other guests were polite and friendly. Location is close to the docks and is walkable to a lot of neat things to see!

Nice YHA hostel. Excellent location — easy to walk to most places of interest in the city, nice atmosphere, good bedroom with ensuite bathroom shared by up to four guests. Fun decor especially in the dining room. Good access policy.

Staff were super helpful and nice. A short walk from all the attractions at the docks. Very pleased with my stay!

Good Youth Hotel, ideal if you are driving with its free parking.

All staff helpful bar 1. Brings down the place. If he was replaced would be better. Could be cheaper also. Beds comfortable. Could do with better choice at bar.

As a wheelchair user YHA Liverpool is one I will happily stay at again. Accessibility is good. A four bed ground floor had plenty of room and a good wet room with shower.

Clean, comfortable beds in the best location to visit the museums of the city.
In the vicinity there is a MC Donald is a KFC is not included breakfast.
There's the kitchen and the laundry.

Reasonable accommodation, clean rooms and kitchen, cosy lounge and the in-house pizza is super light. Very comfortable stay. Help desk is very cooperative.

Clean rooms with enough functions you need for a cheap stopover. Modern funky design interior with friendly staff. 24hour access and parking for approx 25/30 cars had no problem getting a space. Check out 10am. Only bad point the shower didn't work very well just trickled out but still usable.

High quality for low pay.

Fantastic hostel, very modern and spacious! Our room (4 bed en suite) was large and comfortable and the common areas were great for relaxing in. We really appreciated being able to come and go as we pleased during the daytime. The only negative is that the kitchen was a bit dirty — not the fault of the hostel staff, as it was spotless at lunchtimes, sadly some hostellers didn't clean up properly after cooking.

Fantastic hostel in ideal location with free parking and Wi-Fi. Room clean and modern, love the details like the wall heater where you could set your own thermostat to temperature of own choice and each bed having not just individual light and 3 pin plug but also two usb charge points, not to mention the door art! The staff could not have been more helpful. Had lots of local knowledge and took the time to give us a map and offered practical suggestions and directions. Adore the supper treat of carrot cake and hot chocolate for £3.50. Great value and quality all round.

Top well located clean comfortable and welcoming.

Great quality hostel. The bedrooms are warm with good beds, where each has a reading light and charging plugs (also usb). The shower's/toilet are also very good, located outside of the bedroom, has two enclosed showers and toilets for the room guests. Each guest has a coded key to have access to the right floor and hall, meaning great safety policy. The staff was very nice and helpfull.

Location is great, 5 minutes to beatles museum and a Comercial zone and 15 to downtown, rooms are great, very clean, comfortable, and staff is also great, they're very nice. Definitely would return.

Location wise it's pretty accessible, near the dock. Friendly staff at the reception! The Wi-Fi is there, although the speed could be improved. Overall one of the best hostel experience you could get in Liverpool.

Our family room was ok: clean but dark / shower room missing toilet lid, tiny wash basin and shower curtain was torn/hanging off. Reception staff were friendly/smiley and I liked the dark haired lady who cooked the breakfast — she smiled while working and chatted (lovely Liverpudlian accent).

Nice place I stayed in July, ir it was a great time. The staff were really kind and helpful. Comfortable room, the bath wasn't too much good, really wet and uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn't included in the price. The had kitchen for meals and drinks Maybe the place is a little but far for the city center if you don t like to walk or use transport.

Fabulous hostel a couple of minutes' walk from the city centre. Clean room with comfortable double bed. The shared showers and loos were pristine. Lovely friendly staff and parking available. Can't fault Liverpool YHA.

This is a great hostel if you're looking for a bed at night. There isn't a big party scene here but the rooms and bathrooms are very clean, good Wi-Fi and confortable beds. The breakfast is quite good also.

Decent hotel, not the Ritz but good value. Few minor issues like wet room leaking into bedroom slightly, broken towel rail switch but no towel rail? and less than pristine rooms but not really dirty. For the amount of stags and hens it was relatively quiet for us. Beds comfy, shower good. No towels or shampoo/gel. Not a relaxing break but great location for town, ten min walk ideal for just using for nights.

Cheap and best place to stay with power packed breakfast to kick start the day!

Can't wait to come here again. The beds are comfy and the rooms are nice and warm. Loads of space and is very secure. Had breakfast in the morning which was really nice. Staff are really nice and helpful. Thanks for a great stay guys.

Great location, between Albert Dock and the arty Baltic Triangle area. They don't seem to have private rooms for two and so we got a family room for four. It smelled quite musty which was off putting but seemed fairly clean. Wasn't cheap so probably wouldn't come again. View of the cathedral from our window.

The best hostel in liverpool.

Very nice room. We had the family room with en suite. S staff were really helpful and friendly. Location excellent Liverpool one and the docks very close by. Beds were comfortable. Would recommend.

Had an accessible family room on the ground floor. Two single beds and a bunk bed with loads of floor space to put a travel cot up. Some noise from the road outside but otherwise quiet.

A beautiful place to stay, located near the dock and not far from the city center. If you are on a budget they offer cheap shared bedrooms with bunk beds and a bathroom, comfortable enough for the price. The bedrooms also have individual lockers to keep your stuff safe. Not included in the price they offer decent meals at their bar. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If I return to Liverpool I would stay here again without a second thought.

Budget hostel, close to the Centre of Liverpool, no breakfast (indeed), hostel rooms (ours was dirty, hair in Earth etc) and a bathroom (private) no shower, but with a simple tent that contributes to widen the whole bathroom. Free Wi-Fi and free parking (a dozen parking lots).

Room is OK, location is good.

I stayed for a night in YHA Liverpool. Generally, it was a good night sleep. There was three double bunker beds in a room. A room was taking 6 persons. The breakfast was good and I enjoyed my night in YHA Liverpool.

Terrible experience. Don 't pick this hostel! First of all Where can I start?, the whole place looks like a hospital, the atmosphere is just weird, doesn 't feel like a hostel at all, very depressing. Everything seems to be about money! Internet is ridiculously expensive, when most other local hostels offer it for much cheaper or free. The rooms lack colour and "happiness". Manager is incredibly arrogant, I'm not even sure why such a reputable Hostel chain, like YHA, would have a manager as such. She looks like the most miserable person you'll ever meet. And she definitely makes sure that you know that she's just really after your money. There are plenty other better hostels around the city, that'll offer much better service and REAL hospitality. Just look out a bit. Choose any one but this. I wouldn't even recommend it to my enemy to stay at this place. Don't save money when you know you're gonna have a bad experience. Spend a bit more, have fun and enjoy this great city! You were warned.
