Very, very disappointing! Hotel needs TLC in most areas. Carvery very poor with frozen vegetables and gravy in a Pyrex jug, unbelievable. Pool and beauty room nice. No literature to speak of in the room so no idea what time pool is open etc. Beware if you book DBB this includes the carvery and you have to pay more to upgrade to the restaurant. Tables covered in crumbs. Breakfast good but be early if you want hot food. This is a coach venue hotel so you need to eat very early or nothing edible left.

Amazing place would highly recommend Bosworth Hall to anyone thinking of coming here, whether it be for a wedding or a break. We came here for my Sons wedding and could not fault anything about the place. The service from start to finish was first class. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldnt do enough for you. The day was perfect and the professionalism and care from the wedding coordinator and staff made the day run perfectly. The setting and stunning views and relaxing atmosphere is perfect for a wedding and anyone to get away from it all for awhile. I will definitely be returning here for a weekend away relaxing and enjoying the spa.

Beautiful relaxation room and pleasant afternoon tea but not given any choice of what foods offered. Shower area, sauna and steam room very poor and disappointing — unpleasant smell, unsightly damaged areas, unclean, dated and desperately need to be refurbished along with the pool area. Staff friendly enough and treatment fairly enjoyable but not great. Actual hotel was amazing but spindles like the poor relation! Grounds however were beautiful and picturesque!

You get what you pay for. Just want a room for an overnight sleep and unfortunately didn't deliver even on that. Mattress is so hard it was like sleeping (or trying to) on concrete. Don't get me wrong I like a firm bed but this was ridiculous. Rest of the hotel and toom a bit scrappy and needs an overhaul. Lift broken. Glad is was cheap!

Excellent hotel for nice peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings. The hotel is a grade 1 listed building and has very interesting archtecture worth exploring not to mention the grounds which are very well maitained. All of the staff are brilliant very helpful, you can bring your dog with as the hotel is dog friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Night at the museum. Smelled like a spare cupboard. Staff unfriendly. Decor incredibly old, couldn't sleep in the bed. Supposed to stay for 2 nights, checked out after one. Not ideal for business stay, 7 quid for Wi-Fi per 24 hours. Will never say again.

Such a lovely place. Rooms are fairly standard but clean with facilities including tea/coffee facilities. Located in beautiful grounds with Market Bosworth. Restaurants, swimming pool… All available.

Just got back from Bosworth Hall and had a great time for 4 days. Great service, food and friendly staff. Very helpful and always with a smile. Even our 2 enjoyed the time at the hotel and grounds. Thanks.

To look at, this place is beautiful, interesting and in a great location. We stayed for 2 nights in a deal and so did most of the other guests. Food is very basic but wasnt too bad. However, the building is old and although clean and had character, I struggled to sleep with all the noise from other guests, the creaky floors and thin walls. The spa was Ok, did the job and the area in Market Bosworth village itself is lovely.

This hotel has everything you need, buffet breakfast with a large variety of foods to suit everybody, carvery or salad for dinner, tea, coffee, selection of fruit juices, and a comfortable bar area. On the premises is a spa building where you are able to pamper yourself all day, don't forget you swim wear, also a snooker room. There are some beautiful walks around the hotel ground, with much history, you can pick up a leaflet from reception, this hotel is ideal for weddings, funerals and other special occasions, definitely worth a visit.

The decor and overall look was the only positive experience for me. I was made to feel uncomfortable the whole time soon as I got there so I just stayed in my room and didn't have the confidence to use the spa facilities. Staff members were just staring at me and making me feel uncomfortable the whole time. I am assuming this was due to my skin colour as I was the only different person there. Members of the spa and fitness club also seem to have an issue with anyone that isn't as pretentious looking for them.

Staff are v friendly and helpful. I used the pool which was clean and pleasant. The jacuzzi is good. My partner said the gym was good, he used the cv machines. The grounds are beautiful with some huge, ancient trees. The catering let them down a bit. They don't switch the coffee machines on in the bar till about 10.30 and they seemed to have run out of many things on the bar menu during our two day stay. The food was nice and portions were generous (of the dishes available). They let us leave the car there for the day after we'd checked out. It's in a good location for visiting Bosworth battle field and not too far from Leicester.

Where do I start. Tired and in dire need of a spruce up. Room was freezing, dirty and small. Got upgraded to an executive only to find the windows rattled all night, the TV was broken and out the window someone had drawn a massive phallus in the snow. Amusing for some no doubt, not so much for any families. Dinner was as tired as the decor. The starter was more akin to your nans buffet at Christmas and the main which was a carvery only was near inedible. Frozen tatties, frozen Yorkshire puddings and a choice of two meats. One of which, the pork was not bad. But the beef… oh the beef… if you would've said to me it was a piece of leather I would've believed you without question. It was a joy to find the double bed in the bedroom was in actual fact two singles put together… We checked out at 8.00 am the following day. Disappointing.

Really nice, large room at a reasonable price. Only negative was there was no shower curtain over the shower and only a hand-held shower head in the bath which was a little awkward. Really enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna.

Located near Market Bosworth market place, a reasonable place for a quiet drink. The hotel parts look nice — old, upmarket, but was only having a drink on this occasion. The bar area feels a bit kind of 1970s or care home-ish. If you drink beer you won't get any real ale here. These are only minor criticisms though, it was clean, service good, prices reasonable.

Impressive building and plenty of public spaces to spend time in so no need to leave the hotel when the rooms are being cleaned and beds being made. Steps in the dining room mean that wheelchair users are dependent on others to get food for them but the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are many different levels in the hotel due to the age of the building but there are lifts to help with almost all of these. The staff in the Spa are very welcoming and excellent at the many treatments on offer.

Complete dump. I've stayed before and it was OK — you get what you pay for — but this time they have hit rock bottom. We were given a double after booking a twin. The room stinks of cigarettes. The door doesn't lock. The windows don't open and it's boiling. Oh, and they left some boxes of disgusting fudge in the room… Merry Christmas.

Surprise birthday with the girls. Dinner, breakfast, overnight stay and spa access. All was amazing on the hotel front. Unfortunately some of the spa facilities didn't work (jacuzzi and steam room) and we had no clue where to get the treatments from. Would come back if the facilities were working.

Really nice old building. The approach from the road is very picturesque especially with the frost on the ground. We only visited for the 3 course carvery. It nice, the meat was nicely cooked. Could possibly have benefited from a bigger selection of vegetables, but other than that the main course was great. The desert was equally as nice with a choice of 5 different cakes to have with either cream or condensed milk. Again could have benefited from having a hot pudding option. But all in all a very nice meal. Would recommend.

Impressive building located on the edge of a lovely old market town in Leicestershire. Basic but functional accommodation. Bed was comfy, however there was a lot of noise from above, not noisy guests but creaky floor and loud plumbing. The place is huge and a bit of a maze. The staff are doing their best but the whole place needs updating. The food was average at best (stick to the carvery, don't bother to 'upgrade'). Overall it's a cheap place to stay so don't expect too much.

Lovely amazing looking hotel. Good location close to the town, but very quiet area. The inside decor was very dated, the paint work was fresh but very messy (pain on the carpet etc. ). Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Spa area was basic and could do with some modernisation. But it was lovely to have this included in our stay.

Booked a last minute overnight stay for my husband and I, read some reviews and did wonder what we would find when we got there. We had a lovely overnight stay, my husband wished we could have stayed longer, yes decoration is a bit tired specially in corridors but it was clean. Our room, a double executive was a bit of a mismatch of furniture but again it was clean and the bed was really comfortable. My husband is quite fussy when it comes to food but he enjoyed his carvery dinner and buffet breakfast very much. We also visited the spa and pool which again were looking a little tired but the pool was a good size and more importantly the water was lovely and warm. We are trying to arrange another stay and are hoping to book a suite.

Friendly staff… below average food… tired interior but our room was very clean. We spent two nights here through Groupon. Reading the reviews before we went, we asked for a room with a window and got one no problem. Only when they are busy so they have the use of three rooms without windows. The interior is tired and well worn but our room was pleasant and clean. The buffet is slices of meat and self serve potatoes and vegetables. Hospital food was nicer. The breakfast was a little better. Why do Britannia hotels give guests such awful food? We would come back of the food was good.

Got my deal on a groupon and I'm very glad I went. Although the room didn't have a great view and the window was clearly open when we arrived because of the rather unpleasant smell lingering in the room, the whole experience was lovely. The building itself needs a little TLC, but you get that with all old buildings in need of more funding. The staff were excellent from start to finish, the grounds were beautiful and the atmosphere was friendly all round. Well worth a visit!

As you drive up to the hall it's very impressive… that's where it's ends! Receptionist obviously hates her job! 5 hours trip and not even a smile! The walk to the room is dreadfull feels dirty. Sorry it is dirty the glass is disgusting dreadful! I hate writing bad reviews but if I owned this hotel I would be ashamed! You advertise a historic hall with well presented photos! The reality is it's a dump. When we asked on paying the bill how do you get to stay in the nice bit we had a response of its more money as though we couldn't afford it… I think you need a good look at your business plan. Unless you are happy with offering dirty. Cheap couldn't care less attitude service.

Beautiful layout, great location and really friendly staff. The rooms are a little dated but what really let it down in my opinion was the lack of care over a great building. I. E. At the bar there are carved wooden busts that have white gloss paint spattering all over, toilet lids the same and even edges of carpets the same. We stayed for two nights and had a nice time but a little TLC would make a huge difference.

Beautiful location in lovely parkland. Disappointed with the room, cramped. Bathroom not cleaned properly. Damp patches on wall in bedroom. Carvery meal below expectations.

OK to get away but not much of spa options in comparison to other spa places however the staff were excellent. Genuinely happy to help. I must say the Reception staff are however those who made the stay most welcome who helped to sort out a problem in the room. Arranged a prompt move to another room. Most importantly they did this without having to speak to supervisor and made the decision themselves saving time and effort. Very professional and smart. There are live events in the evening if you have nothing to do and the buffet food is not bad at all. I however do think the hotel group or chain who own Bosworth hall seriously need to maintain the building and renovate the place otherwise if it is very close to falling out of favour or continued reduction in bookings which would be a shame when the location, the people and the place make it great out of town get away or a peaceful few days away from out busy every day lives.

Perfectly acceptable base. A little overrun with bus parties of more mature years. Bedroom facilities fine although mattresses hard for my liking. Dining limited choice, 2/3 mains, in carvery but food hot and quickly turned over, breakfast 'English' but again fresh and hot with cereals, toast and fruit. Bar has limited seating but well stocked and sensible prices. Reception helpful when needed. JEWEL — Leisure facilities, pool great and better than average gym. Worth a repeat stay if visiting area again.

OK it's not perfect. In fact it's far from perfect but you do get more than you pay for. It's a very very cheap hotel (much cheaper than even premier Inn or travel lodge) but it's a great stately home with very nice well kept grounds. It gets 5 stars from me as it's £39 a night. If it was £130 a night like the Hilton Leicester it'd get 2 stars =D.

We recently held our wedding at Bosworth Hall, the day was fantastic from start to finish, the staff were brilliant, every little detail was provided exactly as we had requested, they couldn't do enough to ensure that our wedding was a very special day. All of our guests commented on how good the venue was and how good the food was, yes its an old building so some of the rooms are dated, but that was part of the charm that made us book it in the first place. Throughout the planning stages our point of contact was Harriet, we could not have wished for anyone better. Harriet’s attention to detail, planning and customer service was excellent, she comes across very well and is easy to work with, nothing was too much trouble, she was always available, she went above and beyond, as did all of the staff to be fair. The customer service we received was second to none. The wedding team at the venue took care of everything for us and liaised and worked very well with the other companies that were involved in setting up the wedding and that were involved throughout the day. A great day delivered by a great team, not a single complaint from any of our guests over the whole weekend. Based on our experience I would recommend Bosworth Hall as a wedding Venue to anyone.

Nice clean rooms. Good food and atmosphere. The spa area is great. Good access to local places of interest. Will definitely stay there again ☺️

Overall this place is great, the only hiccup being the booking in system, in our experience, please confirm your booking in advance of arrival! Anyway its a great hotel, we've stayied in Britannia Hotels before and this is by far the best, a beautiful setting, good food and drink. Also worth mentioning its dog friendly. Simply put, worth booking.

Returned home today after a 3 night stay with National Holidays. Great room, clean, nicely decorated, warm and gorgeous views. The rest of the hotel was wonderful too. The food was lovely. It was self service with lots of choice that was always plentiful. The staff were lovely, very helpful and polite. On all 3 nights we have entertainment which were singers. The first two were lovely entertainers who you could sing along to but the third night singer was a very talented young lady called Kate, supported by her husband Ben. She was an artist. She had the whole audience transfixed by her singing and was a true star. Excellent trip and wonderful stay here.

It's set in a beautiful location and from the outside is wonderful building. The inside however sadly reflects one of neglect and lacks a lot in amenities and basic cleanliness within the rooms. The decor is mismatched, and of a cheap, dated nature. Don't expect much from a shower in the morning as it goes from hot to cold and back again several times over. The bathroom was falling apart as well with a half hanging shower rail above the bath, toilet roll holder coming off the wall and cheap lino on the floor that doesn't even reach the walls leaving a gap of dirt.

Just got back from a wowcher spa break at Bosworth Hall. From looking at some of the reviews I thought I was going to arrive at faulty towers! Was pleasantly surprised. For the price we paid I felt it was excellent value. Set in a lovely location, with basic but clean room and food that was fine and that I would describe as value for money. I wouldn't spend hundreds ona break here but felt it was better than expected. The old TVs in the rooms do let them down a little and also the fire alarm woke us at 7:23 am which was from the toaster in the kitchen but we didn't have to evacuate. Overall it was a nice break in a nice hotel that isn't the Ritz but I didn't pay Ritz prices either!

Enjoyed a dinner bed and breakfast at Bosworth Hall hotel. After a previous stay we decided to upgrade the meal to eat in the Comptons restaurant, which was less crowded and a better menu than on offer at Jenny's. Food was great well worth the upgrade. The hotel does continue to look a little tired in places, but this generally add to the character of the old Hall. You can get some great overnight stay deals and I would certainly recommend for an enjoyable stay.

Giving one star is far to much for this dive. We stayed 2 nights our first room was tucked away on its own and very cold. Told heating would come on but failed to in our room. We complained and moved rooms to a little more modern looking room with the oldest TV in the world in it. As for eating in Jenny's starvery I would rather do the latter and starve it's worth taking the short walk to the village to eat in the pub or Indian. The prices are well over the top for the standard you receive. There is no phone signal but can get Wi-Fi. The bar is small and if you drink ale as I do well there's none. Cocktail bar is shocking £10.70p for 2 normal gins. The reception stank of raw sewage, fire alarm went off at 0800 for some unknown reason as was no evacuation etc. When we left they tried to charge us £65 for food we already had paid for the whole place is a shambles I would advise to stay well clear and look elsewhere.

Brought a spa day that included a treatment and tea for two. First impressions were great, lovely hotel, the pool was big and the heath suite facilities were good. Me and my mum had a lovely back, neck and shoulder massage and the ladies who did them were lovely and very good! The tea for two was nice! Would deffinatly go back! Thank you.
