Had a scrummy breakfast here today great food great staff would deffo recommend xxx 5 star.

I have been here twice in the last week one evening for dinner and once for lunch.
Great friendly service adhering to all social distancing measures and food was lovely with huge portions. Definitely recommend and good to be supporting our local pubs and restaurants.
Table service is great and our waiting staff were helpful and friendly and a credit to the team!

I love this place but there is no atmosphere we went in four pubs and this was the only one that felt soulless and lacked friendly interaction from the staff last week we were here and Chloe was fabulous interacting with everyone making sure we had a great evening.

Had a nice lunch although my nethew was being a pain the girl serving us was absolutely brilliant and such a laugh.

Amazing quirky pub and the Roast Dinner was so good highly recommend to all.

I love the originality of this pub and all the little rooms and the decor. The owners have really turned it around. Had Christmas dinner there this year and it was lovely.

We frequently visit as a group of 14 + retired but active people, and always enjoy the food, and the staff are always polite, efficient and helpful.

Bring my mum and dad here for lunch some Saturdays for lunch. Food good value for money and plenty of it. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Have been here for lunch on many occasions, always good food & great value for money. The staff have always been friendly & I like the decor. I've also had several afternoon teas here which have been lovely, especially The Mad Hatters one with delicious home made cakes. So nice to have a relaxed, friendly place to eat where you don't feel you have have to rush.

Good food at very reasonable prices. First time there today. Lunch with two friends. Excellent menu choice and my pudding was delicious. Really fancied an Irish coffee after lunch, but didn't see it on menu.

A wonderful place to discover and enjoy a pint with nice staff and great food.

Really lovely place. Quiet and clean. Our room was on a ground level and we couldnt open the window so in 28+ heat it was really too hot to sleep. A fan was provided but it did pretty much nothing to aid in lessening the heat. Air conditioning is really needed if a window cant be opened but apart from that the staff are lovely and breakfast is amazing.

Hadn't been here for quite a while, so was pleasantly surprised to find it has been refurbished and has new owners. Barman on Thursday evening was friendly and welcoming. We had two meals for £10 — both very nice. They also now serve Westons Old Rosie cider! Prices equally competitive to the other pub chain just along the road (which I would avoid! ). This is a very historic part of Dartford and should be supported!

Normally customer service is great, but recently I went to order some food and drink and found the bartender to be rude and argumentative. I ordered a Stowford press and a Guinness, she poured me half of Guinness and after telling her I want a full pint started to complain saying it my fault. I kept quite of course. Then after ordering my food, just seconds of sitting down was already dished and served. It was bad, I mean mash was chewable and the peas were hard. I must say bar staff are usually great but the young girl with the tattoo on her neck and she is rude and make you feel you shouldn't be there.

Decided to try the breakfast — what a disappointment! Coffee was cold — sausage totally inedible, it was so dry and dehydrated that I think it had been reheated a number of times. Tomato not cooked just lukewarm. Cheap thin rasher of bacon. Cold toast (that was replaced eventually). Can't understand why it gets good reviews. Restaurants shouldn't have 'bad' days!

First time visit for a quick bit of pub grub. Very pleased with the kids meals and with the classic burger. Friendly bar staff too.

I had booked a room for December 2016 and confirmed I'd be coming. I fell ill on the day of arrival so stayed at home. Still feeling bad of being a 'no show' and will come by soon to apologise. I wanted to come as this place is very well looked after and worth the booking.

We went for the breakfast menu which was tasty, the place it self has loads of quiet rooms to sit in or a open area by the bar depending on your mood. Very clean and lovely staff the lunch menu is also good I would recommend the pie & mash, after living in London for so long I miss Manze pie mash but this is great I finally have a local that tastes great. Im now a regular and you will be too.

Went for a market day breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful, as this food option is not written on the menu. Food was great! Top quality sausage! Will definitely be having this again. Place was clean and tidy, with a traditional feel. Very much enjoyed my experience.

Down for London Marathon and stayed for 2 nights as had great transport links to london city. Hotel has spent quite a bit redeveloping it and the rooms were superb as was the food and people working the bar areas. Met the owners who were interested in your opinion and lovely folk to talk with. We will stay again.

We stayed here for a night in the family room, (room was massive). The staff was very polite and friendly, food was fantastic. Loved all the history of the hotel which we were fascinated by. We would definatly stay there again (very impressed)

Stayed overnight in July 2017 and found it surprisingly atmospheric, but now that they have upgraded it and don't seem to have raised the prices much. A double room at circa 60 pounds is not bad methinks. The bar area is great. This is was a coaching inn on the way from London to Canterbury or Dover.

Working over the road at nationwide used there car park all day at a great price and then redeemed the parking on a fantastic breakfast at a very gd price.

Older reviews of this place and the current 3.5 stars should be ignored. The room I stayed in was excellent. Clean, tidy, modern, quiet and comfortable for a really good price. Breakfast and parking included in the price. The pub itself is also very good with a decent selection of beers, pool, live sports and good food options. Highly recommend this Pub/Hotel.

Went into the bull today and was promptly told to remove my hat as there is a no hat policy. I questioned the manager about this and he replied that there had been some disreputable people in and this is what prompted the policy. I asked him if I was disreputable (I am 70 years old with a walking stick and a cold head). There was no answer so I and my wife walked out never to return.

Friendly environment. Great staff. The Royal Victoria And Bull is a great place to stay or enjoy a drink and some food. The tea room is perfect for a cup of tea and catch up with friend. Definitely enjoy a cake.

The lovely new coffee bar section recently closed for renovation. It was lovely before, I can't wait to see what it's like now. The hotel kitchen supplies the coffee bar, so the food is excellent.

Had a couple of great lunches recently since the pub was refurbished. It's great to see the place looking refreshed and just a change of attitude in general. It feels like the staff want to be there and the place has had a lot of TLC injected. I'll be back!

The staff very friendly and the place was oldie world and would recommend it for anyone staying in Dartford the location it great.

Looks a bit run down but full of character. Reasonably priced food.

Very nice looking place, it's a mix of modern, old fashioned and trendy, hard to pull off! Staff where friendly and helpful, drinks taste just fine, mixture great and chilled to right levels, glasses clean. Food was very nice, first time cleaned plate in ages! Everything cooked to a perfect taste, chicken melted in mouth, wasn't over or under done. Perfectly seasoned, didn't taste bland at all. Full of flavour! Cutlery clean, plates clean. No stains or water marks. All round enjoyed time here and will return for a meal in future. Not a posh restaurant obviously, just a nice place to relax and enjoy well cooked food at amazing prices! I must add I didn't stay here so cannot comment on rooms or service in this manner.

Stayed in room 305 for one night, won't be returning and definitely will not recommended to anyone. Where do I start :- Firstly: upon arrival we were told the cold water pipe had burst and it had affected our room so bottles of water had been provided and a bucket to flush the loo, I accept these things happen, but upon further inspection of the room it soon became apparent the bathroom was in an appalling condition what with the side of the bath in terrible condition, the ceramic soap dish broken, large cracks in sink, stains on the ceiling. Secondly: Our room was at the front facing the town, it was the worst nights sleep I've ever had unless you count 3 hours of broken sleep as adequate, this was due to the noise and fighting outside once the pubs/clubs had closed and the snack shop that opens up across the road until 4am. I appreciate that the hotel is going under major refurbishments at the moment but to charge £69 per night is an absolute joke! The bedding was clean but sadly the matress needs replacing as very uncomfortable.

My first time in Dartford… when I got into hotel… I met lovely Lady (the owner) and friendly… she call one of her staff to show me the room (Lydia) which is really nice and I felt more comfortable and relax. The room is really nice and lovely… I can't see no faulty. When I came down to the bar and ask to order a cab… two young ladies staffs are very helpful and nice specially they dont know I have a disabilities my self which I am half deaf which I don't have to call a cab. Makes me more comfortable. In the morning breakfast… it amazing breakfast. I am Defo coming back here again… they made me more welcome to their hotel. Thank you for having me there. Defo 10/10 x.

This place has potential and the new owner is in the process of refurbishing the entire building. My room experience wasn't great but as it's in the process of refurbishment it can be forgiven. The owner was nice and friendly and deserves time to get this place looking amazing.

The rooms are being upgraded, so ours is a little tired. However, the price is excellent and the hotel is in a great location for the train into London, or Dartford. It's also close to the M25, so easy to get to.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. Yes the place is tired, it has been in administration for three years, so the business cannot have been a success and the decline is clear to see. However, I asked some (I hope, pointed) questions of the new manager, a personable and clearly capable and experienced woman; I am confident that the modernising already started will soon bring the place up to scratch. If I had to give a star rating on the present decor it would have to be 1 star at best; it'll soon be 5 star. Because we were out so much, we did not use the bar, or dine there; however the staff were very attentive and helpful.

What once was a beautiful building is now very run down. Torn dirty sofas. Generally grimy. Long overdue some maintenance and investment.

Very few good drinks on order, dingy and miserable atmosphere.

Cheap and cheerful clean quiet room nothing fancy.

Affordable and good location. Could do with a bit of tlc, but seems to be very clean. Would be fantastic with a bit of investment. Pub is good value and food was good. All in all not the worst place I have ever stayed and would stay again in the future.

If your looking for a place to rest your head after a weary travel for one night and you don't care about noise or how soft the bed is then it's the place for you if your wanting 4 star then look elsewhere it's a builders hotel! Basic facilities provided although they do have Wi-Fi! It's a shame that the place has fallen into disrepair and needs a bit of TLC. The hotel has history and from the bathroom I'd say the 1970's but it was reasonably clean and that I can't complain about. breakfast starts from 6:15 am so I have yet to sample that! Bed linen was clean and towels too! The staff were friendly enough and just lack the professional touch but then it boils down to you get what u pay for! Still a little pricey for what u get but desperation set in as it was a last min business trip. Oh and take headphones for the street noise! Just a heads up. Folks.

Have not stayed here but eaten quite a few times and it is perfectly edible, staff turn over is high and there never seems to be anyone in charge but I do enjoy the atmosphere.

Not worthy of one star… absolutely dreadful place. Indifferent staff. No offer of help to carry bag upstairs & along corridors. Room badly lit, freezing cold. Noise from bar until 3am. Noise from street until 4am. No breakfast provided. Left at 8.30am next day, no one on duty. Would NEVER stay here again and would NEVER recommend. Have travelled this country 50 years and this is probably the worst accommodation I have ever had. Do not stay here!
