We stayed at luccombe hall this weekend and just wanted to say how lovely it was. The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff where all fantastic, breakfast was beautiful and all together brilliant little get away ❤ we will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making our weekend so lovely.

Have been visiting for a number of years. A lovely, well managed place with fantastic staff.
Great choice of food. L also enjoy the pools, spa pool and sauna.

Nice hotel. Would do b&b only next time. Pools could do with a clean, and other areas need a spruce up but our room with hot tub was lovely.

The hotel had a good breakfast bar and had very quick service.

A family friendly hotel with everything you could need for a lovely holiday. Children have lots to do and rooms are cosy, modern and clean.
Staff have been helpful and always taken their time to make sure we had a good time. Great food and atmosphere.

Gorgeous hotel, refurbished to a high standard, modern and stylish, clean and comfortable with helpful and pleasant reception, waiting and bar staff. Amazing views over Shanklin Bay from the conservatory while dining and looking out over the fantastic garden's and sea views. Plenty of amenities to keep you busy or just relax in the peaceful ambience.

2nd visit here. Lovely setting and wonderful views. The staff very friendly and helpful.

My husband arranged for a surprise for my 40th Birthday, we stayed just the one night and he had booked the rooms with a hot tub. Steve and his staff were extremely helpful even gave me a bottle of bubbles and a card, dinner was delicious and the rooms are very nicely finished.
The hotel is in a great location and has some beautiful views over the gardens and the sea. You won’t be disappointed we will definitely be returning!

Stayed here for 5 nights the hotel grounds are simply stunning and the outdoor pool and indoor pool are very clean and warm. The breakfast is great and the three course nightly dinner even better. The chef is brilliant and the soups he or she cooks are the best I’ve ever had! Best three star hotel food I’ve ever eaten to be honest and will definitely go back. The gardens are beautiful and they have access down steps to Shanklin beach. It is also a short walk to old town Shanklin and Shanklin chine which is breath taking, like a prehistoric kingdom. The staff were all excellent and polite and did our washing etc. Brilliant family hotel and the location is perfect.

Nice friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely. Gorgeous views. Down side our room was very tired and the shower worst ever used. No control on temperature and position was rubbish. Would go back as they are refurbishing so hopefully all rooms will be of a better standard that this hotel deserves.

Very nice hotel with polite and helpful staff, perfectly positioned as here are short walks to the beach and town, games room, swimming pools, bar. A very pleasant place would definitely recommend!

Very welcoming hotel just outside Shanklin village with sea views and a variety of leisure activities. Hotel restaurant is a little limited for dinner but breakfast is good. There is no lift but provision is made for the less mobile of us by allocating rooms on the lower floors. Bus stop at the end of the road.

It's tired in places (shabby carpets) but the staff are lovely. If you can get a deal it's worth it, but don't pay rack rates as it's simply not good enough.

Lovely hotel with great views. A couple of niggles were mini fridge in room but no water provided and hotel and grounds are smoking free which wasn't mentioned on their website. We booked a room with a balcony so we could smoke only to find that we couldn't. They had a limited menu but the food was excellent.

Extensive renovations going on at the moment all week & weekends, great location, could do with being bought on to the 20th century! Otherwise comfortable, you will need binoculars to see the TV in your room!

Nice little Hotel if you're not looking for anything too fancy. We arrived 2 hours before check-in and our room was ready and waiting for us. The staff on reception were very courteous and welcoming. We had a standard room which was nice & cozy, the television was abit too small for our liking but still OK. The pool room was nice and warm, the Jacuzzi looked alittle dated and could use some renovation. The Sauna room was very small, may only fit 3 people at a time. We dined at the hotel restaurant, the staff were very friendly and efficient, dinner was lovely and so was breakfast. I can't comment on pricing, as the meal was already included when we booked the deal via groupon. Wine was reasonable priced. Overall a very quaint and cozy little hotel that could do with some renovations here and there.

Enjoyed our stay except for the stairs room 12 is up a extremely steep staircase without adequate hand Rail would stay again but not in this room to dangerous for my liking.

Really nice services. Room and bathroom clean. Had a good vegetarian breakfast. Good parking services but can get a bit tight for big cars. But overall stay was great.

We did not stay at this hotel but went for a meal with friends who were staying there so I cannot comment regarding staying at the hotel. Food was ok but after ordering our main course were the asked if we wanted vegetables with our meal. It would appear veg is ordered separately from the main meal and doesn't automatically come with the meal. Apart from that the service was good and staff pleasant and friendly.

Great indoor and outdoor pools. Kids play area is also big. Beautiful location.

A very good 3 star hotel, nice views from sea view apartments and restaurant, lovely gardens. Great facilities for families although slightly quirky, ie old squash court housing trampoline and table tennis table. Building does feel slightly run down and dated. Rooms do not afford much sound proofing from adjacent rooms, lack of sockets in rooms. Beds were too soft for my liking and bathroom again slightly dated. All in all a fairly good hotel in a nice location with good views.

Just back from a fab weekend on the IOW, staying at Luccombe Hall. The sea view from the hotel is beautiful. I shall miss waking up to that every day and the outdoor pool was perfect for a much needed cool down during the hot weather. Staff were all very warm and friendly. Great food in the restaurant. Yes the rooms are a little tired but that view more than made up for it. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

Stayed for two nights, was fantastic throughout. Staff were great, food was delicious, varied and promptly served, breakfast was excellent. The views were incredible, helped by the amazing weather. Will definitely be returning.

The Luccombe Hall Hotel is a lovely hotel, set in beautiful well maintained grounds. In all honesty, the quality of the food shocked us both. We only booked a two night break, including dinner on the first night, initially planning to go to one of the Island's other restaurants on the second night. However, so impressed were we with both the food and service, we decided to reserve a table for the second night too. As with many similar hotels of this vintage, there are a few minor rough edges, but please don't let this detract from the comfort, quality, cleanliness and services this hotel offers.

Beautiful location right on the clifftop with such wonderful views of the bay and that's the restaurant view! Food was nice but I had cod and was full of bones but other than that can't fault. Rooms are spotless maybe just in need of an update at some point as well as facilities like the pool and jacuzzi.

The staff are enthusiastic and friendly however the decor needs updating, it was like tumbleweed when we arrived. Our room was dark and dated, wardrobes chipped and peeling, the shower was barely warm and we could hear every footstep from the guests in the room above — this proved incredibly upsetting as they seemed to walk their room the entire night. Worst night sleep ever. Breakfast was a shambles, no tables, kept running out of items, bought tea and the realised we had no cups and then I was presented with a raw sausage for breakfast. Over priced. Thankfully we only had one night. Disappointed is not the word!

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in January, all the staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was brilliant, had a lovely evening meal and breakfast each morning. The hotel itself is an old building and is showing it's age in places. All parts of the hotel were clean but certain areas needed more maintenance work carried out. This did not put me off because like I said, it is an old building so keeping it tip top must be an ongoing task. Overall I would recommend this hotel based on the staff and food quality.

Run down and not premium while premium priced. The carpets looked like they were last changed in the 80s and the place has the feel of an underfunded care home rather than an expensive hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again and actually accepted the offer of a refund. To top it all off the manager was rude and abrasive. I got the feeling they were generally not keen on people from outside the Isle of Wight.

Very nice except the food. Staff very good. Rooms acceptable. Bar and lounge nice. Indoor pool is nice, hot tub is a bit small for the size of hotel. Outdoor pool seems good (too cold to use at the time of year we stayed). Gardens lovely. The real let down was the food, small portions and poor quality (it's ok if you like eggs) the room was reasonably clean with an amazing view of gardens and sea. As an overall experience 4/5. Would have given 5 if not let down by the poor food.

Beautifulll looking hotel untill you got in what a shame receptionist lovely but on showing room it was horrible I really wanted a view of the car park! cleanish, shower fine, rooms looked half re-done, food ok, breakfast lovely general decor awful, bar shut at 10 oclock at night! what hotel does that! no pool, wasps nest in playground! bar manager not very good, oh dear I wouldnt recommend at all.
