Friendly staff, lovely food, comfy bed, what else would you need? Perfect stay!

Had a over night stay. Excellent. Will definitely go again. Staff very friendly, and go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable.

Pros out weigh the cons. Will definitely stay again.

A week ago we stayed at the Hollier's owners Stephen and Dawn and family lovely people Amazing food lovely clean hotel in the wonderful picturesque old town of Shanklin, I recommend a visit. Liz and Brian Hill.

We were booked In to stay the night (tonight) I've never seen such a vile dirty place… mould in kettle cobwebs above units, pubes in bed, on top of matress was a skanky old duvet cover a worn duvet then flat sheet, then ripped sheet stained pillow cases, stains on lampshade loose floor boards in room, mould that had turned Brown on shower screen, rusty plug chain, limescale on shower head and taps, said our room would have a view… hmmmm of a rooftop and old guttering pipe on top… we have left without even staying the night as it was so shocking… have taken pics! So Holliers. Sort it out… it may only be £40 we've wasted in you place but my god I'd rather be £40 down then stay here… ps maybe a refurb and more staff as when we arrived waited 15 mins and continual pressing bell to book in before I got pd off waiting and had to go and track down a member of staff! If I could have given a 0* rating… trust me I Would!

Decided to visit the Holliers Hotel as it is the only carvery in Shanklin, my mistake. Lets star with the dinning area, it was that damp due to there being no extractor for the Braie Marie. Water was running down the walls, windows rezulting in mold on both. The floor was peeling resulting in a raised section next to the serving area. There was a thick layer of dirt a. Nd food under the Braie Marie which looked like it had been there a very long time. Now for the food, the roadt beef had dried out, carrots and roast potatoes both burnt. The suffing had the texture of breadcrumbs. In my career as a HSE manager inspecting kitchens and dinning room serving hundreds I never came across anywhere this bad. If Ihad the place would of been shut down. If this is a sample of the rest of the hotel avoid at all costs.

Food is good but service is not great.

Went there to try the carvery and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely tasting and good value for money. Would recommend for a Sunday carvery and will be returning soon.

Very friendly, meal nice but it could do with a good clean and up date.

Location fantastic beautiful views bus stop close by. Do not use swimming pool Shut it down Shouldn't be advertised. Health Hazard. Food was a carvery each night or can't remember what the other choice was. The location was brilliant but a certain amount of money needs to be spent on hotel urgently. Get rid of swimming pool.

Had the carvery Sunday evening and then a drink in the bar where a guy sang and played the piano. Used by coach trips so either busy or too quiet.

Excellent rooms. Great food. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Very basic accommodation with old dirty carpets. Windows are not double glazed so the noise from outside esp motor bikes can be horrendous if you want an early night. There is no signal at all so you can't make phone calls. No proper communication on arrival regarding availability of staff at night — we went out at night and returned late and we couldn't go in and as there is no reception/signal on the phones in the area we had to go up the hill to call the hotel to open for us. It turned out we were supposed to have been given 2 keys one for front door & one for our room. We only had 1 key for our room. Overall I won't recommend.

Saturday night drinks. Barbeque was being served in the beer garden with very tasty burgers. All in all. An enjoyable couple of hours after carnival.

This is a fantastic hotel the food to die for got to be the best carvery for miles the staff are brilliant stayed there twice now definitely be back again asap x :-) :-)

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are of a reasonable standard. Enjoyed the Carvery, but disappointed in the Starters. Overall found the Hotel to be of a comfortable standard, but felt that some bedroom furniture could be improved. A pleasant stay. Thank you.

Just enjoyed a short break in the Isle of Wight at Holliers Hotel where we were made most welcome. We had a pleasant room with everything we needed. The food was wonderful and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The view from our window was lovely to look out onto, especially at night when several of the thatched shops etc were lit up. I would be happy to recommend it and would love to return in the future. Thank you Stephen and Dawn and your family and staff.

We had the roast buffet on sunday and it was horrid, it was obvius that the meat was frozen and the veg was not cooked properly very diapointed, such a shame.

Lovely carvery the meat was very tender and lots of it makes a change from pub grub as previous review decor a bit dated but the food is very good. Would recommend.

Not bad for the price decor gloomy food was good and a good service.

Me and the family went for the carvery and it was exellent.
