Where do I start. Hopeless staff. Services not working or not ready. When you go on holiday you want to relax. Safe in the knowledge that your a valued customer and your hosts care that your stay is a good one. If that’s what you want out of a holiday then don’t stay here! Instead of a pool that wasn’t ready we were given vouchers to use in their coffee shop. The only problem was the coffee machine wasn’t working! The resort Wi-Fi wasn’t working either. Our bathroom was grubby too. On the morning of departure we quite fancied one last dip in the hot tub but oh no — a site worker kindly relieved us of that privilege by emptying our hot tub at 8.30. Perhaps the worst thing about a place like this though is the painted on smiles and false assurances from the young staff there. I visited reception to complain about the issues and you get the classic. ”I’m really sorry I’ll look into this and get back to you”. Do they get back to you? You decide. We paid a lot of money for this holiday and luckily we had a great time. But you can get more for your money elsewhere so don’t bother with this place.
Lovely, clean, well equipped properties very close to the beach. Friendly staff, fab location. Once the pool is complete it will be the ideal place to stay on the island. We went to the other site at The Lakes Rookley, a lot to do there but we all prefer The Bay with the option to use facilities at the Lakes. Two of my children are teenagers so that may be why but I will definitely be back to either of the Aria sights on the IOW next year.
