We had such a lovely time at the House of Toby this weekend. We were concerned as saw some dodgy reviews but honestly not a clue what they are talking about as our stay was bliss and the friendly staff were super lovely. The rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated and we would definitely stay again! Thank you 🙌🏻

Been staying at various hotels in the area on my day off and this is the first one I have stayed in that had comprehensively taken the risk of covid seriously.
I arrived at check in and my temperature was taken and I was asked my reason for staying so they could confirm I was able to under categories stated by the government. (I work in childcare)
I was offered hand sanitizer before and after using the pen and also the keycard was cleaned with sanitizer before it was handed to me
I had a double which was cozy and compact, it was very clean and the shower was powerful, decor modern and I had a very relaxing day and night at this hotel.
Next morning there was a grab and go breakfast arrangement with a good assortment of items and a bag to put them in so you could take it with you.
The staff were pleasant the guy on reception was particularly courteous and helpful. Taking the current covid situation out of the equation, it's a decent budget hotel in a great location ideal for a couple of nights in London, plenty of places to eat and drink in the area good transportation links (kings cross 5 mins walk) plenty of buses.
A nice clean place good location would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location. Clean, fresh and really comfy bed. Very good price and wonderful staff. Lovely rainfall shower. Only downfall is very noisy but it is in the center of London after all.

⭐️Want to get COVID come to The House Of Toby! ⭐️ Used towels, used hair and body wash … no hand sanitiser in rooms or anti bacterial stuff … smelt like sewage. Dirt on the bedside cabinets. Awful, disgusting rude racial discriminating staff against woman. Whenever went out for a cigrette I had the night staff worker keep peering at me watching me with he’s eyes whilst I was smoking. The general manager Mr Patel he either needs major retraining or just find another profession he was the worst out of all of them. So many faults and this box isn’t that big to write in. My mental health would be in pieces by now if I didn’t have my partner by my side because at best stage Mr Patel felt the need to confront me when I was by myself in the hotel lobby even after I told him several times I didn’t want to talk about any of it without my partner in the room because they all were so creepy and made me feel uncomfy. But he carried on shouting at me till the point I just went back to my room in a mess. I don’t know if I’m there religion or what they don’t allow woman to speak but where I’m from woman have just as much freedom as men and I feel he thought he could get the better off me. I really wish that nothing like this ever happens to anyone again as it was awful and could really knock someone’s confidence.

I cannot go to London on the days I had reserved because of the Covid-19 and they have not given me any solution, they have not even answered the emails I have sent them.

Got accused of doing drugs in my room, the manager lied about his confrontation later that day. The deluxe room was extremely shabby, dirty, and incredible noisy. I could hear everything the people next door did… everything… Worst hotel stay in my entire life.

Helpful staff, comfortable beds, good situation handy for tube station.

Such a helpful staff, made our mum and dad feel special for their golden wedding celebration, beautifully decorated, modern bathrooms, air con units, perfect spot for a getaway.

Great place to stay. Good rooms and stylish.
Only issue is I left my jacket in the room and it never made it to lost property so haven’t been able to get it back. Dampener on the stay.

Basic and ideally located within walking distance of KingsX and St Pancras International.

Don't let the entrance put you off — the room was a small ground floor room right on the main road, obviously it want going to be quiet but it was well appointed and very comfortable, neat good quality En suite, decent size TV and Air conditioned, couldn't fault it and will stay there again — only down side is no dining facilities, I was given a breakfast bag with some juice, fruit etc — I prefer a breakfast so went to very close COSTA but I could have managed with the bag.

Rooms are quite small however prices are quite reasonable so not complaining. Booked through dayuse. Good location, 5 mins king's cross and all its services which is great.

Great place for our holiday. Great staff. They gave great suggestions, answered all our questions, and took care of any of our needs that arose during the stay. The rooms aren't large, but we didn't want to spend much time in them anyway. The rooms were super clean, and cleaned daily. Big bathrooms, and one of the largest showers I've seen in Europe. I'm a sucker for a great shower. I'd stay there again just for that! Great value. Great location. Just a couple of minutes to King's Cross. During your stay also find the Skinners Arms and the Valencia Cafe. Awesome local establishments just a short walk to either.

Location was nice and quiet although can be missed rather easily, the room was a little smaller than expected but not at all cramped or lacking in space. Did not expect to need to go outside to get to my room, only the case for 2-3 rooms I am sure though. Otherwise friendly staff on reception and the room was more than suitable for my needs during my visit. Would visit again.

A short walk from King’s Cross. Comfy bed with nice bedding and lots of good pillows. Very clean. Good shower with very nice toiletries. Nice staff. Horrible Wi-Fi. Stained carpet. Tiny rooms. Quite noisy — nonstop noise from either other rooms, bathroom or the construction works. Overall good for a short stay, if you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the room.

I was very unsure when I first entered the hotel, it was very dark and so totally different to anywhere else I had experienced. The room was very compact but had every amenitie required! Lots of lighting options in the room, good (free) Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities, TV, safe, air conditioning unit, hairdryer, soap/shower gel etc, wardrobe space, hangars! The bed was clean and comfortable. The en-suite was furnished with far superior fittings than other high end hotels and the shower was excellent! The room was very quiet but you could hear people passing to go to alternate floors/rooms etc. The staff were very attentive and pleasant, I would book here again in a heart beat!

When you arrive at the front door of the hotel you might think you have made a mistake in booking here but once inside the door you will find a very helpful staff and a good wee hotel which is clean and although rooms are small, it does just what you need it to do. They can’t do enough to help and I for one would go back again.

A well located hotel with small but well appointed rooms which are clean and comfortable.
The staff are friendly and helpful. It is excellent value which included a grab and go breakfast.
