Beautiful and Inviting Hotel The Park Lane is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. At the time of this writing it had been remodeled a relatively short time ago. Even more recently than that the gym and pool were remodeled. Beautifully appointed the hotel still maintains an inviting and welcoming feel (even with some rather odd modern art pieces). I rented a room with 2 beds and was pleased with the space and the ease to maneuver through it. The bathroom was gorgeous. The bathroom only had a shower, which honestly was fine. The toilet included a bidet and a heated seat! The lounge, which is accessible for higher level reward members, was charming and spacious. The chairs were a bit on the small size if your rear-end is even slightly above the average size. They had a lovely selection of snacks and good dinners served nightly. If those don't satiate you, then the in hotel restaurant (Lanes of London) certainly will have something to satisfy your palate. Their food was delicious and reasonably priced for London. The location was great if you are looking for a place to stay while exploring London. It is situated on the same corner as the Marble Arch Station servicing the Central Line of the Underground. This allowed for easy access to the heart of London with minimal transfers. I think the longest trip back to the hotel from "the river" was about 30 minutes. You are also located across the street from Hyde Park and on Oxford Street, which has some of the finest shopping available – if that's your thing. If you are driving your own car, there is no onsite, or even streetside parking. You must park in a garage a block away, which honestly isn't as far as it might sound. However, the parking is crazy expensive. Also, it can be difficult to find as the entrance is not on Oxford Street, where you might expect, but what feels like the back of the hotel on what amounts to something slightly larger than an alley. The hotel and restaurant staff were all outstanding. Friendly, welcoming, helpful and courteous. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel anyone needing a place in London, who might also want a bit of a treat in luxury.
