Utterly shocking, firstly given a room with no bathroom door handle, thankfully got moved to another, but much smaller room. However next door to the loudest speaking person on the planet and can't get any relaxing time. Absolute shocker.

Rooms are comfortable. But they are suffering as a lot of other service industries, from lack of staff. Check in was 2pm but even at 3pm room wasn’t ready. Because I made fuss they gave us an upgrade and room is more than adequate. When we returned in the evening after theatre and restaurant bar was very slow, no cocktails as they were short staffed! But overall nice hotel, hope they can make improvements or reduce their prices.

First of our two night stay but all fantastic so far. Welcoming staff and very helpful.

The hotel was fine but overpriced, the staff seemed polite and helpful. HOWEVER, on check out they over charged my card by £150, recharging me for the room cost which I had already paid, rather than the dinner. I have called several times and keep getting the same run around story of don't worry accounts will call you tomorrow, and of course they never do. Have now been on the phone half an hour just waiting for someone to pick up. DO NOT RECOMMEND and will be reporting them to trading standards.

Excellent location and service.

Perfect. Simply perfect. A quiet room so the children could go to sleep early. Perfect mattresses for a good nights sleep. Will come again next year and enjoy perfection again 👍

Lovely Welcome Got a great room… Until… Unfortunately their was a very large group of people really loud in and out of rooms taking really loudly… asked to be moved as did others on the same floor. Food was wonderful…! The room I was moved too was awful Stunk of damp and was told unless I pay for an upgrade I couldn't have a better room. Little disappointing : — (

I would totally stay here again. Great room and staff. Super clean. Yummy breakfast! And warm cookies upon arrival. Its not super close to the touristy sites but an Uber or bus will get you there quickly. Easy to find.

Nice hotel although I got to spend very little time in there. Room well appointed. Large room, large bathroom. Generally nicer than when it was a Jury's Inn but still have the same bowed out shower curtains that mess up my depth perception and make me feel seasick. I didn't have dinner but I did have breakfast which was great, although there was a big queue for breakfast when I was leaving (0830 on a Tuesday). Checking in and out was a little slow. Overall: recommend.

Had a pleasant experience at this hotel. We went in late June and were staying one night as we were moving into our study abroad apartment the next day. We had check in at two so we dropped our bags off and explored a little. We came back at 2 and our room wasn’t ready but they gave us access to the lounge to wait. The room was nice and clean and the beds were decently comfortable. The only issue is the air conditioning turns off on its own randomly so it would get hot.

Wow. I have to change my mind, really disappointed. Was staying at this hotel many times for work, now booked for my holidays with my own card. I was put in the room for the disabled. Nobody told me about it until I opened the door. It looks like a hospital room. Full stop. When I asked them to change a room, they said they are fully booked and can't provide another room. Really? On top of that — the curtains have holes, the glasses on the side table are dirty. Great value for a 250 gbp/night! I demand a full refund or immediate change of a room!

One of my nicest hotels stay to date due to the people. Everyone (with the exception of one lobby person at the end, she almost got this a four star rating) was accommodating and had a ready smile. The food at the restaurant was top notch. The diamond member lounge was a welcome break in the day. Will definitely be back.

Stayed here many times and always been a great location and friendly staff… however not this weekend. The team lead on the desk was clearly bored or tired at Check in. If u work in the service industry and can t put a smile on your face or be polite. Change your job. Rung down to reception as iron did not work and the chap on the phone did not even understand what an iron is… Hilton clearly employing cheap staff who do not understand basic english to keep costs down… what a shame… Hilton you have let your self down on this occasion…

A good quality Hilton with plenty of space and nice rooms. The restaurant here is excellent being a Marco Pierre White place, so the quality is good and prices are affordable. My room had plenty of space, but rooms at the front are a little noisy as the road is busy all the time, so get one at the back if this is a preference.

Great hotel at a great rate. 440€ for three nights for 1adult and 2 children incl breakfast. Hotel is modern, breakfast good and the gym is great.

Disappointing. Small room, small bathroom, shower in the bathtub that requires some agility. Breakfast adequate, but nothing special. Restaurant: about the quality of your average truckstop diner. But with different pricing. Conference facilities antiquated. No power outlets on tables. Wifi free, but unprotected. Very friendly staff though.

We stayed here for a night. Rooms were decent. Bathroom was clean. Our experience in the breakfast buffet is the worst we have had ever. Very poor management of crowd. The spread of food was the usual. Nothing great to make it worth all the hassle we went through through.

A really nice place to stay! Super clean rooms, great service from the front desk, and really nice room service people. The hotel is also 5 min walking distance from Angel station and around four bus stops which makes it really easy to get around the city. A great place to stay if you're visiting London!

Great location, staff and hospitality. Rooms could use a little updating (especially more power outlets! ) but were clean/comfortable. Breakfast here was excellent and I enjoyed the bar too.

Great hotel to stay at for a business trip. Friendly staff, great breakfast (both hours of operation and quality of buffet selection), and an exceptional hotel gym. Three treadmills, two ellipticals, an arm bike, a rowing machine, a pull-up rack and free weights, as well as space for stretching and abs. Really all you can ask for in a hotel in this price range. I will definitely be looking for availability here on my next business trip to London.

Very nice hotel, all the staff is available and nice. Very good full breakfast. At the arrival we are offered a warm chocolate cookie. A delight especially when you arrive in the rain. Transportation is nearby.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. We have taken a double room without breakfast. There are plenty of and better breakfast options in the surrounding area.
The bed in the standard double room is only 140cm wide. This is a bit small if you are used to a bigger bed. The bathrooms are also not all too big. To 2. It's going to be very tight. Just a typical city hotel.
The subway station "Angel" is about 5 minutes away and was the starting point of all our discoveries. Who wants can also take bus no. 73 directly to Oxford Circus, the stop is more or less opposite the hotel.

Attended this central London hotel for a training seminar rather than as a direct guest but in terms of my interactions I was very impressed. The lobby was large and tastefully decorated and the staff attentive. The conference rooms were well appointed and the lunch provided was excellent.

Always enjoy staying here. Good location for heading West toward Paddington or East into the City (good bus route connections as well as the tub). Staff friendly and helpful. Alternative is the Hilton in Islington. Food as expected for mid-range business hotel. Good rnage of local pubs and amenities as well.

Watch out for thieves. I was in the lobby at this hotel using the their Mac to print my tickets for my trip to Paris. I had my purse on the chair and walked away for about 5 minutes. Yes, my purse was gone within minutes. I can't believe it actually happened in a lobby at the hotel? The daily manager reviewed the video and to my surprise, a woman who walked up to the chair, sat down, grabbed my purse and put in her bag. She left immediately. I lost all… I basically have no money nor credit card to travel. Unbelievable what happened in this nice hotel. The police is investigating but not sure if anything will turn up. I am disappointed and sad. It actually put a damp in the remainder of my trip. Be careful!

We were allowed to settle in early. The continental breakfast is pretty good for what it is.

The hotel was lovely, nice little touch with the warm cookies when you check in. The room was nice, beds comfortable. I think the prices you charge for breakfast are far too much and for the price we paid for the room some sort of breakfast should be included even if it's a continental one. Most the staff seemed friendly enough although the man who checked us in did seen to look down his nose at us.

It's a decent hotel. The rooms are decent as well. I felt it could have been a little bit cleaner but was not atrocious by any means. I usually keep my room clean enough and prefer not to have housekeeping enter daily or at all so was annoyed that they did remove the "later, please" sign I'd left on my door and cleaned it while we were out anyway. I would not have left items like my toothbrush, work computer and passport out had I known they would enter without my desire for them to do so. I do understand in this day and age it may be the new policy they have implemented, but if so, they just need to make guests aware of it, so guests are not surprised like I was. These are the primary irritations for the hotel. Also, the website indicates there is parking so I was surprised upon renting a car to find that the parking is a lot about 15 minutes away. I am rating it as a 4 nonetheless because it does not have standards others will find to be below the norm but the items I have mentioned are definitely worth other guests or potential guests knowing if they are considering staying here.

It can be said that it is a hotel to the height of its stars! The services are efficient, it is very clean and the breakfast is very good (juice extractor, mushrooms, waffles…) We have the choice and for all tastes.

Took My Mother-in-law for Afternoon Tea. Lovely Hotel. Scones were very delicious. Staff very nice and helpful. The only suggestion would be that we weren't asked if we wanted another pot of tea. Would recommend it. Will go for dinner next time.

The entrance and really good that is level cleanliness and Deco! The location of Hotel and really good, we were able to move on foot without any problem. By cons my room which was very good (bathroom with bathtub, double bed, desk, coffee, tea This) was not super clean full of tasks on the floor of the bathroom, towel with brown trace and bottle cap on the floor near the bed.

Hotel is not quite in the center but connection with public transport is very good. Good value for money with the exception of breakfast. This is too expensive in relation to the offer. Rooms are OK, everything clean and also service and reception are good.

It is an incredibly clean and tidy place, the people are very friendly and attentive and the service was excellent. I have really enjoyed my stay.

The location of this hotel was great. Rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the staff were fantastic. Warm cookies on arrival was a lovely touch.

Overall good experience and I'd stay again. Some minor housekeeping issues, and when speaking with front desk team, or staff at bar or restaurant you'd get a different answer depending on who you spoke with. Stayed for a week, and used these services several times, so over time my experience averaged from good to very good. Issues I experienced were likely due to training, so hopefully with a management push the typical guest experience is very good to excellent!

We stayed at DoubleTree in Islington for two nights for a friend's wedding. On the first night, the pipes of the building were so loud that we didn't really shut an eye. We got moved and upgraded to a different room, on an entirely different floor and corridor, but unfortunately the noise persisted there the second night. The rooms themselves were nice and clean, and the staff very professional and friendly. However since we didn't get the main thing that you pay for in a hotel stay — a good night's sleep — I can only give two stars. The problem with the pipes seems to be in the entire building and it's quite a disgrace to charge people the full price when something like that is going on.

Great location, 5 minutes walk from Angel underground station. Room was spacious and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing board and iron. The shower was disappointing, quite low water pressure, and the wardrobe door in the room (552) was impossible to open without it banging into the door frame. The included breakfast was much better than the usual hotel buffet, there was also hot items available (sausage, bacon, hash browns etc) and a few surprises like crumpets and potato bread. Would happily stay again.

The hotel is in a great location. Central and next to Angel Station. Staff is friendly, and you get a free warm cookie at check in. It's decicious. The rooms are pretty good (not as large as most Americans are used to, but hey, it is London). My one complaint is the noise the staff makes in the hall early in the morning. You can clearly hear vacuuming down the hall while in your room, early in the morning. And lots of chatter in the hall ways transfers in as if they were right next to you.

A good hotel. Fresh rooms, professional service and a good location. Very happy with our stay here. There was some issues with our room (minor things, a mising towel etc), but the staff responded quickly and professionally. They couldn't fix all of the issues immediately and gave us an upgrade instead.

It's night 7 of 9 and I've had nothing but issues here. From the carpet being unexpectedly pulled up and replaced right at my door — with no prior warning than waking up to the workmen and the lingering smell of glue, to no conditioner for two days, no cutlery with room service, daily broken biscuits, room service not replenishing what they need to. I received someone else's dry cleaning in my room, whilst mine is still m. I. A I had to tell the staff outside in my hall to keep it down as it 11.15pm. There are many little things that could make this reasonable if they were mindful of the customer's experience and needs. I know these are first world issues, but when you're away for work or a long awaited holiday, these things matter more than a soggy chocolate biscuit.

I had lived in this hotel for six nights with my husband & son, I booked a triple room, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, the hotel services was terrible. When the day I checked in, they gave us the Welcome cookies, it was great, however the room only offered one bottle of free water & two sets of free shampoo & conditioner. I came down to lobby & said we were three persons, how could you offer me one bottle of water & please marked into system we should have three sets of washing shampoo for six nights. Nothing has been done from them, I requested on every night. One day I tried their breakfast, it charged £12 each, but there was not much choice for the food. Furthermore, the speed of water when taking shower was as little as can't accepted. The worst experience was the day when I checked out, as I needed to go my son's another city to stay one night, so I requested to leave three luggage at their hotel, pay extra & get them back the next day. They said 'could not' & I did not make requests in advance. We have been living here for 6 days & your hotel had our passport copies all the stuff. I asked the counter to ask another senior to get 'exceptional approval', one sentence from them' I'm the senior enough to say no', the unexpected situation needed us to bring three big luggage rushed to King's Cross station & catch the train. There should have much choices for same prices to enjoy better hotel service.

All right, while the check-in was scheduled at 3pm we were able to dispose of our room as soon as we arrived in the morning.

I never knew that they gave fresh cookies when you check in. They were delicious and gooey. The rooms were great. I stayed in a Hilton honors room so I don't know how the other rooms are. The breakfast is delicious. The windows actually crack open and let air in. Like some other hotels in europe, this is a hotel where you need the room key to insert into a slot to turn on the lights. When you take out the card, the lights will turn it off automatically after a few minutes. They do this to conserve energy and not waste lights.

As hotel stays go, this was probably the best hotel I have stayed at. Check in was a smooth process, even got a chocolate cookie. The room was clean and spacious with all of the usual amenities. The staff in all instances were friendly and helpful.

Stayed in one of their executive suites… was smaller than I expected, but it was cosy, comfortable and had all that I needed. Wasn't too costly even though I booked it only a few days in advance. Staff were friendly at the desk and they give you a cookie too.

Our first time overseas from Canada in May 2017. Was very impressed with the staff, they couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was out of this world, everything a person could want. I can't say enough good about our stay. It was excellent. Thank u so much.

Stayed just 1 night (Wed 28 Jun). Checkin was quick & professional. Wanted to stay Holiday Inn Express City (where I've stayed before) but pleasantly surprised that DoubleTree Islington rate including breakfast was £50 cheaper which was good for both wallet & stomach as the breakfast buffet head & shoulders better than HIE. Room including bathroom very good and, again, better than HIE. All staff were courteous, professional & helpful. Staff also smiling — how nice Convient lovation, only a short walk from Angel tube station. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Rooms are good. Big and comfy. Breakfast is very good. And location wise there is plenty of places to eat and drink in Islington. It's 15 minutes walk from kings cross and at pancras. And the Northern line underground stop (angel) is just round the corner.

The environment is quiet, but the shopping is going to take 2O minutes to downtown.

I attended this venue for a corporate event. It was very clean, tidy and we'll kept. The service was very high quality and the staff present. The restaurant from Marco piere white was a nice touch. Unfortunately I didn't stay in a room over night.

Very nice hotel. The location is near Angel tube station so good access to get around. The hotel is popular and was quite busy but it didn't feel overcrowded in the communal areas. Rooms are a good size (I had a standard double). Bathroom isn't big but has everything you need. Service is very professional. Room service was quick and reception were very helpful. Restaurant service was good and food was excellent. Breakfast was also busy but there was only a slight queue to be seated. The staff were very efficient at serving and clearing so even with a full hotel there was no delays. Overall very impressed. I would stay here again and recommend it.

I visited one of my friends for Pre-Wedding Wedding Breakfast to start the day. The staff were courteous, the food was plentiful, in abundance and tasty. Being vegan, I was happy to find their Breakfast buffet jam-packed with options to make the most choosiest of us happy.

London hotels are usually a disappointment. This was nothing of the sort. A perfect business hotel. Met all expectations. Quality throughout.

Room was a decent size, shower powerful, tea, coffee and water in room. Also warm cookie on arrival. Free parking between 1.30 Saturday afternoon and early Monday on the streets surrounding. Wine slightly expensive and lights in room a little dim for getting ready, as with all hotels.

Stayed here for four nights during the bidding, the price is £ 100 a night early, I bought the "dust" series of one room and were paid for in advance, but I think it may be soon, it is not the price. Stay experience overall is very good, got a lot of help. My enjoy a book in advance for customers with exclusive packages include use of gym equipment, as well as private lounge experience right there offering snacks, meals and drinks — — this is very helpful for me, because I can save some money on diet and other local snacks. After playing a one-day cricket, I believe this is the item you do not want to experience!

The bar was really nice, service was good and waiters really friendly and professional. The dinner was nice even if the waiting time was pretty long and the meat was a bit overdone. Nice wine.

Conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Angel tube station and 10 minutes from the Business Design Centre this was a perfect hotel to stay for a conference. The staff were very polite, professional and helpful from check-in to check-out and a free warm cookie when you arrive is a wonderful little touch. The double + single rooms are spacious (for London), well furnished and we'll maintained. The hotel has a variety of pillows on offer to help make your stay/sleep comfortable. The rooms come with ironing facilities, the standard bathroom items plus extras such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors etc free if you forgot yours. The breakfast was well stocked and varied from fruits and yoghurts, cereal, a selection of breads/pastries and cooked breakfast. All fresh and of good quality. All in all an excellent and highly recommended hotel.

Hi, we are couple (58, 57) son (16) — four days (on palm Sunday) in London and we stayed at the Doubletree Hilton Islington. On the day of arrival (Saturday), we were able to have our rooms even though we have already arrived at 09:00. The room (double bed, Einztelbett) was to the patio, and was very clean. The view is the courtyard, but it was very quiet. Since the bus stop is immediately (100 m) and the railway statiopn is Said entffernt approx. 400 m from the Hotel, we were able to make in the four days of excellent Ungternehmungen. Islington offers to the railway station, fishing around a lot of cafes and Restaurant. The staff was very nice and helpful. At the reception were provided with tips for our stay. You could get in the Lounge on two I-Macs on the Internet with the world — if you want to in the holidays, or reservations for the attractions in London. Even a printer was available! We had also booked the Breakfast and we liked it. The only drawback: On Sunday morning, it came around 10:00 am to a small queue at the entrance to the Breakfast area, the staff, purchases of tables, each frísch. But that's no Problem, since we were already around 09:00. Thank you for a lovely four days in London. We find that in the Doubletree, the price-to-performance ratio has voted. We will be back!

Anecdotally, sounded the alarm at the 1 in the evening and we had to leave the hotel, but we didn't know what happened. False alarm.

It is not central to London itself, but the area is perfect for a drink or for lunch and dinner, since there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and environment. Very good hotel and very complete breakfast. If you can take the internet fee, compared with the offer of London, a real bargain. In 2011 we got room for less than 90 euros with breakfast included.
