Had our work Christmas lunch there today. Great food, service etc, easily one of the best Xmas meals we've had in the area, will definitely recommend! No dramas with a party of 20 of us! Thanks!

Beautiful rooms, exquisite. Really friendly, warm, welcoming staff who made us feel relaxed and at home straight away. Gorgeous food, very well presented, excellent value for money. We will definitely return in the future. Our stay was a real treat.

This is a great little hotel and Pub in a village-style neighbourhood frequented by locals.
The rooms are very stylish and comfortable.

Really nice hotel facilities well above what I had expected. Although it is essentially a pub down stairs serving Thai food all freshly prepared. They have fitted out the rooms upstairs to a very high standard. Unfortunately I haven't taken photos but go online at theclerkandwell. Co to see pictures. What you see is what you get and they are very good. Word to the wise, the rooms are on three floors with no lift so if you halve difficulty walking up and down a lot of steps insist on a first floor room. Remember this is a traditional old Victorian if not earlier building so the flights of stairs are steep. The rooms are worth the effort though. Only disappointment being that the shaving socket in the bathroom did not work and we were not stay g longer than one night. Staff were all very welcoming, friendly, helpful with a genuine smile of being able to help you. Will definitely recommend and stay again.

Great Asian food. The bar is well stocked, lots of choice and cocktails. Went for a work birthday party of around 20 people, good service and efficient.

We stayed 3 nights at the end of May, and just loved the place! Rooms are really nice and as importantly very clean (we got extra exercise walking the 57 steps to our top floor room, which wasn’t an issue for us, albeit it may be a problem for some people). Meals are absolutely fantastic, and represent great value for the money. It can get a bit hard to hear your company talk in the main bar area at times due to the acoustics, but if you sit in the more secluded area at the back, no such problem! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Top notch, we’ll definitely stay again.

Very unfriendly staff. Moved us from table because they wanted to prepare for next day. Totally unreceptive to concerns. Said they needed to get some rest at 10.30. Not surprisingly pub was already empty. Don’t bother gong there.

Thai food served in the back of what looks to be a modern British pub. Nice surprise. Staff are always super friendly and food has always been good. Been there 4 times now and not had a bad experience.

Decent Thai food served at this pub… limited seating however which means you could be waiting a while to eat.

Decent pub with quite a good food selection. It's a good place too watch the football too and grab a bite to eat. Service was very polite and helpful. Would recommend if you are in the area. Or is not particularly big though and can get busy.

We thought we would eat typical English dishes instead we had dinner with some fantastic Asian dishes!

Lovely Thai food, good specials on the menu and a lively selection of drinks. Been loads and will keep coming back. The staff are great as well.

Loved the charming rooms and renovated bathroom. Very comfortable bed, but is not a king size as advertised. Area is nice with local vibe and many food options.

Solid beer selection and trendy Thai dishes. A go-to of ours for a lively pub atmosphere. Buzzy during peak times after work hours.

Good selection of beers and a Asian fusion menu which keeps you pretty happy once you've had too many of the beers. Also, I love a pun name. The pub is also a hotel, if you're looking for somewhere unusual to stay in London.

Great room, beautifully appointed. Only thing is there could have been electrical sockets in more easily accessible places. Pub restaurant food very tasty unfortunately spoiled by cold bowl and member of staff who seemed to want to be somewhere else that than serving me. Will definitely be back.

Reasonable lunch menu and good service. Dull draft beer selection.

Food was excellent and priced ok. Wine was more expensive for the area, not sure about other drink prices. Went on a thursday and it was quite noisy. That did not bother us but something to keep in mind.

One of my favourite pubs in Farringdon/Clerkenwell — service is always incredibly fast, complimentary rice crackers and a good selection of Asian fusion food. Rarely overly busy either, so perfect for lunch.

Went to watch the opening game of the season. They had three big TV so you couldn't miss it. We had a table and ordered food which was great. It also meant that we had table service for the rest of the evening. Bonus! Staff were great and efficient.

Attended a wedding here on Saturday evening. What a wonderful venue for a private function, with the added bonus of rooms upstairs for those that want to stay overnight. The pub was transformed with seating by the windows and a dance area in front of the bar. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming (I had been there prior to bring the cake) and made it a very smooth run, relaxed evening. I would highly recommend this as a weekend hire venue, especially as the road outside seems much quieter than on weekdays.

Staying in London for the first time, this quickly became our favorite pub! Erica took such good care of us! We were not expecting much when we walked in the door as Pubs are so common, but we were blown away at how friendly the staff was, how clean the restaurant was and how great the food was! We may even stay here next time we return!

Stopped off for a late lunch there. Very nice food (I had a Thai curry) and service good. Decent range of drinks.

Went here to watch mainly to watch a footie match. The place was lively but not overly busy, which was great for me as we got a seat. We ordered the sharing fried starters. The food was really tasty — very Asian inspired cuisine. There was a lack of match commentary at the start in favour of music but at the request of someone, the bar staff did turn the TV volume up but kept it low. Overall, good find for me thanks to match pint and would come here again to watch a match and to grab a bite.

Very busy spot. Went here for a lunch with a friend and it's the type of place that everyone goes to for good food. But that's the only reason why they go. The staff behind the bar are loud, before the lunchtime rush I was the only person in there so the need to shout at and over each other was unexplainable. But didn't make for a fantastic working environment while waiting for friend. Next, upon arrival, I sat at one of the 30 odd free tables to be told it was reserved. I went to move to another and was told again that was reserved for a big group. Third time lucky not quite. I just asked the waitress where she wanted me to sit because it shouldn't be that difficult. A little thing but, the lemonade was out of syrup. Judging an establishment by how it serves a soft drink option is an essential to me. It's fairly simple and easy thing to check on and do. You have gas cylinders which pumps carbon into the drink, and boxes / bags of syrup which gives the drink the sickening sweet taste. I never ask for ice because it's often cold enough and makes the drink flat quicker and then I can't actually compare. But the syrup had gone. Maybe if the staff weren't shouting at each other and paid more attention to the simplicity of checking pumps and quality before service I would have nudged this up to a 4.

The food is tasty but not at all authentic — for example the egg noodles masquerading as "ramen" and the bright green Thai curry. Service is often sluggish too.

Like the ambiace, food was fine, staff very friendly.

Good choice of beer but the place isn't the nicest place in the area. The food is really disappointing (supposedly thai). Avoid the mini burgers at all cost: they're really dry.

Stayed here in June, wonderful room, really friendly and attentive service. Breakfast not included but charged at £10pp for orange and croissants? (we went to the local greasy spoon instead), would love to go back here in a couple of weekends but prices are extortionate now, so booking elsewhere.

At the end of the work day, especially on Thursday and Friday, this place gets busy and service on the food side can slip. But as a pub that serves good food you can't go far wrong.
